Rodney Releases Hot New Video for Debut Single, 'Baba Loke’

Naija Street Champ season 1 winner, Rodney Edemhanria also known as'Rodney the Monster' has released the most anticipated video for his debut hit single 'Babaloke'. The video which was shot in Lagos, Nigeriawas directed by Cardoso Imagery was released on Monday December 1.



Cardoso Imagery is also responsible for visuals for hit singles by AY.com, Seriki ft Oritsefemi, Klever Jay ft May D to mention but a few. According to Rodney, the video released on the Unmissable Music record label is a dream come true for his budding music career.

He disclosed that work is currently ongoing on more hit tracks for the airwaves. "I am very excited and proud to announce the release of my first official video for 'Baba Loke'. I am indebted to Unmissable Incentives Limited, my producers, ID Cabbasa, D'Tunes and Terry G for their immense contribution to my career'' he said Rodney who recently performed at the 2014 edition of the Nigerian Sports Award alongside 9ice and Black Magic hinted that he has another two hot singles ready for release soon.

While commending Cardozo Imagery for the creativity it brought into the video by interpreting the song perfectly, Rodney stated that the video promises to be one of the best music videos for 2014 especially the ones shot and produced in Nigeria. Rodney used the medium to express his appreciation to his fans and well-wishers, Entertainment Writers, Radio presenters, DJs and VJs for their unflinching support and for promoting his music career.

World first as mother's womb is transplanted to daughter so she can give birth

Greatest gift a mum can give to her daughter. Two women have given birth using wombs donated by their own mothers. The pair become the first ever to have children using the very womb that brought them into the world a generation earlier.

The breakthrough brings hope to women who want children but were born without a womb or have had it removed.
 
 
The two mothers are among nine women to have been given womb transplants – seven of which have succeeded.

Allan Pacey of the British Fertility Society said: 'That's a very good success rate for a new surgical procedure. If it carries on like this, it may have a massive impact on things like surrogacy.
'Women would much prefer to have their own baby and be pregnant than watch another woman be pregnant.'
The babies – both boys – were born a month ago in Sweden and are doing well with their mothers at home.

Henrik Hagberg, a professor in foetal medicine at King's College London, who was at the first birth, praised the grandmothers who had hysterectomies to donate wombs to their daughters.
'It is an absolutely extraordinary gift. It is probably the best thing you can do for your daughter,' he said.
'The mothers were still very much doubting whether things would really go well. You don't take anything for granted when you have experienced all of the problems they have been through.'
The first child, who weighed 5lb 8oz, was born to a 29-year-old Swede who lacked a womb at birth.

The mother of the second boy, who weighed in at 5lb 15oz, is 34 and had her womb removed when she was treated for cancer in her 20s.

Both babies were delivered by Caesarean section around a month early. They join another history-making boy, named Vincent. Born in September as part of the Gothenburg University project, he was the first in the world to be born from a womb transplant.

Tchidi announced on Twitter that their new bundle of joy has been named Adachi Testimony Tchidi Chikere. Tchidi has three boys with ex-wife Sophia. Congrats to them.

This report is hilarious. No offense to dog lovers. But according to a report by Sunnewsonline, a dog that died last week got Service of songs, condolence register, seven-gun salute for animals, and an Army Band that played at its funeral...lol. Find the report below...
Last Saturday, November 29, Oshifila Street, Computer Village, Ikeja, Lagos State, was agog, as a dead dog, a male Alsatian, popularly known as Dr. Papilo in its lifetime, was given a befitting burial by its owner. A day before the burial, a service of songs was held for the dog at Cannan Hotel, Ikeja.
At the burial, there was plenty to eat and drink, just as guests were thoroughly entertained by the Nigerian Army Band. A detachment of mobile policemen at the event also gave the deceased dog a seven-gun salute.
Many sympathisers and guests showered accolades on the dog, paying glowing tributes to the animal in the condolence register.
Dog-owners, military personnel, police officers, veterinary doctors and many others thronged the venue of the ceremony, which commenced at 11am that Saturday. Many passers-by abandoned their initial plans and made a detour to Oshifila Street to witness the unbelievable funeral.
The street and many parts of Ikeja, the capital of Lagos, came to a standstill for some hours. Many could not believe that it was a dog that was being buried. But the owner insisted that Papilo was more than a dog, describing the canine, as a special breed.
Immediately after its death, a condolence register was opened for the dog in front of Cannan Hotel, where Papilo has served, as a security guard for 10 years.
Some of the tributes in the condolence register read: Papilo, you were great, You will remain forever in our memory, We miss you Papilo, Sleep well, What a brave dog!
The owner of the dog, Prince Keneth Edet Ani, who serves with the Nigerian Army in Ikeja, told the reporter that his affection for his late dog was unconditional.
Papilo's remains were interred in a four-feet grave and decorated with roses. The grave is beside the hotel where the dog served till its demise.
Ani described the dog, as his business partner, first child and a friend that travelled with him across the country. He said the dog was an intelligent soldier and a security expert that fought a good fight before its departure. He said he could not reward the dog enough for all it did for him in securing his business and protecting his family for years.

CAN fixes Dec 7th as national day for prayers against Boko Haram

The leadership of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) have fixed Sunday December 7th as a day for all churches across Nigeria to offer special prayers against the activities of Boko Haram sect and also give special offering for victims of the various attacks.

In a statement signed by the General secretary of the association, Dr. Musa Asake, CAN asked Christians to pray for all who have been affected by the activities of Boko Haram irrespective of their religious affiliations. Find the statement after the cut...

Kelly Rowland's mother, Doris Rowland Garrison passed away yesterday December 2nd just weeks after the singer welcomed her first child, Titan. Ms Doris had reportedly been battling a long ailment. Kelly hasn't mentioned anything about her mother's passing on social media but friends and family members have been sending condolence messages to her on Twitter. May her soul rest in peace, amen.

Rapper Xzibit married his long time girlfriend Krista Joiner on Saturday Nov. 29th in LA and a few hours after that, he arrested for DUI.

According to TMZ, the Pimp My Ride presenter was arrested in Laguna Beach, immediately following his wedding reception after he, his bride and their wedding guests partied hard at the St. Regis Monarch Beach.

As he left his reception, he was pulled over for speeding when officers detected the smell of alcohol. He was cuffed and taken to the station. The police then released this nice mugshot of him..lol.

"I'm 20" Dolphins FC striker insists as he's dismissed for falsification of age

Oga, you no look like 20 o...lol. Dolphins FC of Port Harcourt striker and 2014 Federation MVP, Emem Eduok has been dismissed from the national U23 camp for age falsification.

According to the management of the U23 players, Emem's passport states he was born January 31, 1994 while his club license shows he was born in 1991. Media officer of the U23, Timi Ebikagboro while speaking on his dismissal said Emem has to go and sort out his age irregularities with his club.


 He came with a passport showing he is 20 but his records in the LMC shows he is 23. If you watch the Federation Cup final on Super Sport, his age was shown as 23. The license his club sent to the NFF is 23. So, it's left for him and his club to sort out the issue. It's assumed that the player signed the LMC document, which stated that the player agreed to all the information in the document," he said.
Meanwhile Emem maintains he is 20 and not 23
"I'm 20 and not 23. I was born in 1994, so I don't know where the club got their information from. I played at the U-20 World Cup last year, with the age on my passport. That is my age and that is what FIFA knows" he said.
