Criming while white: White people confess to crimes they got away with

Posted: 04 Dec 2014 10:57 AM PST

A day after the police officer who killed Eric Garner (a black man) in a choke hold was cleared by a grand jury, white people used Twitter to highlight police racial bias in the US...confessing to crimes they committed that police let them get away with. This is in protest of police brutality on blacks in America. They used the hashtag #‎crimingwhilewhite and it's been trending since yesterday.

Jason Ross, a writer for The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon first tweeted his own experience and called on others to share their stories. You won't believe some of the things white people get away with. Find some confessions after the cut..

PDP suspends its former chairman, Bamanga Tukur

Posted: 04 Dec 2014 09:40 AM PST

The National Working Committee of the PDP has suspended its immediate past Chairman, Alhaji Bamanga Tukur. According to a statement released this afternoon, Alhaji Tukur was suspended for taking the party to court without 'exhausting the internal redress avenues'.

Mr Tukur had recently dragged the party and its current chairman Adamu Mu'azu to court, asking the court to declare his resignation as the party chairman in January null and void. Find the statement after the cut...

The National Working Committee of the Peoples Democratic (PDP) at its 395th meeting held yesterday, December 3, 2014 reviewed recent national developments as they affect the party.

Among others, the NWC deliberated on the court case instituted against the National Chairman of the Party, Ahmed Adamu Mu'azu by the former National Chairman, Dr. Bamanga Tukur. The NWC reasoned that for instituting a claim and counter claim in suit FHC/ABJ /821/2014; Gurin vs PDP & 3 others without first exploring and exhausting the party's internal mechanism of redress and for attempting to stop the forthcoming National Convention to nominate the party's presidential candidate as well as regularize the position of the National Chairman and other members of the National Working Committee is unacceptable.

The NWC hereby suspends Dr. Bamanga Tukur and Aliyu Abuba Gurin for one month and refers them to the National Disciplinary Committee for infringing on section 58(1)(a)( b)( h)( l) of the PDP Constitution 2012( as amended)

Aww...Birthday party that turned to an engagement party (photos)

Posted: 04 Dec 2014 09:05 AM PST

Got this from a LIB reader. Enjoy...
2nd December was my girlfriend (of 20 months)'s birthday. We have been friends for 30 months though. Meanwhile I had planned to propose marriage to her on that day. Thing is, I am resident in Lagos while she is in Enugu. In 2013, a coordinated surprise visit to Enugu wowed her birthdayand she never stopped talking about how that was the most pleasant surprise of her life, not until 2nd December, 2014 anyway.
So to douse her anticipation for any form of surprise, I got really involved in planning her 2014 birthday. During one of my visits to Enugu, we had dined at Octopus, an exquisite Chinese Restaurant that has got lovers of good meals in '042' wanting for more. I loved the ambience and the meals were really amazing. We decided to host her birthday there. Hers was to make all the inquiries, invite her friends, have fun and be happy. Mine was to fund the dinner which I did with all pleasure. Of course there couldn't be any more surprises when she was already aware of the 'whole' package. Besides, my work couldn't allow me time-off on a Tuesday.
Then …..
I arrived Enugu at 4.15pm having been to work earlier on the day and checked into my hotel room. I had the Manager of Octopus come meet me and we concluded on the 3-level surprise.
Level 1.
After the starter has been served, she was invited (with her friends) to see a video clip on screen of the 60" television in the restaurant. Behold it was me (JIRO) wishing my baby-girl a happy birthday and apologizing for missing her 'big' event. Towards the end of the clip, my sister and cousins joined me to sing the traditional 'happy birthday' song. Twinkle was so wowed and crying by the end of the rendition. "This JIRO will not kill me ooo" she muttered in her tears. Then……
Level 2.
As the video clip ended, I walked into the restaurant! The wow feeling turned into a positive frenzy. She was speechless as she ran to her star. "Baby, why do you always do this to me" was all she could say as she cried in my arms. Yes, am badt like that….hehe.
Level 3.
After I settled in and ordered some more champagne, the management of Octopus brought a bowl of what they dubbed their traditional gift to all birthday celebrants in the restaurant. Since I was there, it only made sense that they hand the package over to me (as the boyfriend) to appoint any of the diners to open it or open it myself. And my speech happened…. "… anyway, everybody may be worthy but I don't see any person that is more worthy than you (twinkle) today to open this special package from Octopus…." By the time she opened the bowl, her friends and other diners  were already gathered by our side to take a sneak peek, my one knee was down and I continued "…there are no better words than the three words that make up 'I Love You'. You have been a friend, you have been bla bla bla bla bla bla and all dem beautiful things" And … "now I ask you, Chisom Onyinyechi Ogbuji, to make me the happiest man in the world and be my wife, please……
And she said YES!
And we changed into our tees that read "OMG Jiro asked!" with all them smileys for her and "…and Twinkle said YES… of course!" for me.
Love is indeed a beautiful thing. Give love always and appreciate love when you have it. May God make our dreams come true and our earnest desires fulfilled, Amen!
Now we plan for our future, together. See the photos below...

Lol. MTO claims Bruce Jenner has had his 'junk' surgically removed

Posted: 04 Dec 2014 07:56 AM PST

MediaTakeOut.com and their sensational stories...hehe. Now they are claiming Bruce Jenner in his quest to become a woman, has had his p*nis surgically removed. Find their report below...
"This is not rumour - it is 100% facts! Kim Kardashian's step-father Bruce Jenner is officially a woman. Yes - he cut of his d**k and replaced it with a surgically constructed V*agina. MediaTakeOut.com spoke with a producer from E!'s top rated reality series Keeping Up With The Kardashians, and they just filmed one of the most intense scens in the shoe's history"

The producer explains,
"Bruce just told everyone that he's a woman. He went to Thailand, and had gender reassignment surgery. He's officially a woman." And the producer claims that it was a very emotional scene. The snitch continued, "Kris [Jenner] was crying because she thought that they were getting back together. The kids were crying . . . it was crazy."
Expect huge ratings when the show airs in the next couple of months. The producers, who did NOT script the scene - are furiously editing trailers of the event - so that they can "leak" it onto the internet.
Who believes this?

Season of Surprise; Pleasant Surprises Await University Dons

Posted: 04 Dec 2014 07:13 AM PST

As part of its ongoing Season of Surprises, MTN has unveiled another surprise package that is targeted at University dons.

This is inspired from its advert currently running on television stations across the country, where some old students appreciated their former lecturer with a surprise birthday party. The reality of the advert is set to be brought alive as MTN iscalling on Nigerian students in higher institutions of learning to nominate any of their Professors who deserve a pleasant surprise.

In this initiative tagged 'Surprise your Professor', University students within the country are expected to make their nominations by texting [Sender's Name – Twitter handle -School – Professor – Department] to 5005 free of charge.

According to a press release issued by MTN, after proper scrutiny and deliberations via laid down criteria, some of the nominated Professors will be selected to receive a pleasant surprise from MTN. The surprise packages will be unveiled to the chosen Professors at their various campuses, while the top3 nominators amongst the students will also be chosen for another pleasant surprise package.

Pleasant surprise moments have already been witnessed in major university campuses within the country, where lucky students have received pleasant surprise packages from MTN. Speaking on this development, the Chief Marketing Officer, MTN Nigeria, Mr. Bayo Adekanmbi said "as a brand that believes in an all-inclusive reward system, it is not enough to surprise university students without a corresponding or even bigger surprise package for their teachers who mould them and shape their lives. It is against this background that MTN is ensuring that the on-going Surprise campaign is taking this new turn".

Photos: Cannibal mum tries to eat her own baby shortly after giving birth

Posted: 04 Dec 2014 07:38 AM PST

A 24 year old woman named Li Zhenghua, was discovered by a shocked nurse trying to eat her baby days after he was born at a local hospital in China. The nurse saw her eating the infant's arm and as she made to rescue the infant, the crazed mum refused to let the baby go. The nurse immediately raised an alarm and called other hospital staff who helped to rescue the baby.

According to local media reports, the attack happened at a hospital in the city of Shenzhen in China's Guangdong Province. The woman had been found on the streets heavily pregnant and in labour..

The homeless woman, suspected to be mentally unstable, was taken to the hospital where she gave birth and attempted to eat her baby.

A hospital spokesman spoke to Chinese media;
"It was really shocking, the arm was badly damaged and suffered not only heavy bruising but bleeding as a result of the bite. Fortunately, doctors managed to insert something to stop her closing her teeth and then levered her jaws apart. After that they gave her a sedative and took the baby to a secure location."
Authorities said the woman's mother-in-law had thrown her out on the streets despite being pregnant after she started acting mental at home.

They say they are trying to find out why the new mum tried to eat her baby. The baby has since been taken into the care of the government.
