Justice Gabriel Kolawole of the federal High Court in Abuja today granted former Jigawa state governor, Sule Lamido and his sons, Aminu and Mustapha N75 million bail. Lamido and his sons are standing trial for allegedly embezzling N1.3 billion public funds while he served as Governor of Jigawa state. The trio were remanded in Kano Prison on July 9th and were flown to Abuja yesterday for their bail hearing today. See more photos after the cut...

The young Vice Chairman/CEO of Transaquila Internationazionale, a multimillion naira commodity trading company and son of illustrious artist and businessman Oladejo Akinlonu Dejak has ventured into the entertainment industry with his new venture Illnostro Records.



Speaking on his decision to launch the music business, Lebron says, "I'm quite passionate about music and the love kind of runs in the family. And as an entrepreneur I see opportunities where I can add value to the quality of Nigerian music hence my decision to venture into the industry with my friend IkennaEzeoka. The record Label Illnostro Records owns a state of the art studio and has signed two artists – ex-Capital Hill artist Tesh Carter and Tiveri (TosanEyomi).

On what to expect from the label the handsome business man says "We are about the quality of the music and the business of monetizing music. We have invested heavily into our acts and we have nothing but the best to offer. Nigerians should expect a lot."

5000 naked people to protest in Nairobi ahead of Pres. Obama's visit

Members of the Republican Liberty Party have threatened to mobilize "approximately 5,000 totally naked men and women to protest over Obama's open and aggressive support for homosexuality".

In a letter addressed to the Administration Police Commandant, the party, together with its 5,000 naked Kenyans are set to throng the streets of Nairobi on 22nd and 23rd of this month is protest of growing support for homosexuality.

Obama's planned visit to Kenya has created a huge hype among Kenyan's of all walks of life. However, his stand on homosexuality has sharply divided the nation with the majority of them warning against pro-gay rhetoric in a country that prides itself for being conservative regarding the topic of marriage.

Lol. Choi! Some people have no chill. So Airtel told the customer that they have followed him on Twitter so he can send them a direct message and the guy replied saying he's trying to follow back but their network is not letting him (meaning it's slow or not going at all) and would use a competitor's network to follow them. Boom! And Airtel was so gracious in their response! Nice one!

Mexican drug lord threatens Donald Trump...says 'I'll make you eat your words'

Hours after billionaire businessman Donald Trump ranted against Mexico's billion dollar drugs lord known as 'El Chapo', head of the powerful Sinaloa Cartel, who escaped from prison on Sunday July 12th, his son's twitter handle threatened the American billionaire, telling him he will eat his word.

Following his escape, Mr Trump had tweeted that the drug lord embodies 'everything that is wrong with Mexico' and the man hit back at Trump via his son Ivan's twitter account writing
'If you keep pissing me off I'm going to make you eat your words you f**king blonde milk-s*****'.  (In Mexico, a milk-s****** is a homophobic slur)
The US-presidential hopeful is taking the threat seriously and has contacted the FBI to investigate the source of the Twitter account

Amazing moment two lions attack & kill an Antelope while tourists watch from their cars

The moment two lions pursued an antelope from the bushes into a road at a game reserve in South Africa was captured on camera by British tourist, Carolyn Dunford. And amazingly, the tourists who were passing through in a convoy when the incident happened wound down their car windows to watch the spectacle.

This is surprising to say the least because just recently, a tourist was attacked and killed when a lion jumped into her car from her open car window at a Games Reserve. Guess these ones didn't hear that story. Anyway, the lions did kill the Antelope. See the dramatic photos after the cut...

JAMB announces cut off marks for polytechnic and University admissions

The Joint Admission and Matriculation Board, JAMB, has announced the 2015 cutoff marks for both University and Polytechnic/Colleges of Education admissions. The cutoff mark for University admission is put at 180 while that of polytechnics and Colleges of Education admission is put at 150.
JAMB registrar, Dibu Ojerinde, announced the cutoff marks at a press conference in Abuja today July 14th.

Abia governor bans roadside car wash

Abia state governor, Okezie Ikpeazu has banned roadside car wash in the state. The governor placed the ban while inspecting a new road project in Aba, the state capital and Umuahia. According to the governor, the detergents used in washing the cars on the road cause the tars on the road to deteriorate.
