| Chris Brown still begging, Karrueche Tran still sticking to her guns Posted: 05 Apr 2015 01:28 PM PDT  Sources tell TMZ Chris Brown has put on a full court press to win back ex-girlfriend Karrueche, but his efforts have been met with resounding rejection. He has been blowing up Karrueche's phone and her friend's phones, but she's radio silent with him. He's been so frustrated he's turned to social media, complimenting her for all to see. But nothing's worked and he's depressed and telling his friends he's not going to date anyone else and is confident Karrueche will come back to him. |

| Fire outbreak at INEC office in Imo Posted: 05 Apr 2015 01:11 PM PDT  He said although the fire did not destroy the card readers meant for next Saturday's governorship election, the fire incident might cause a little hitch during the governorship elections which is to hold next Saturday April 11th. He however promised that the agency would do everything possible to ensure that all materials, sensitive and non sensitive, needed for the governorship election is replaced. |

The statement being referred to was lifted from media reports of April 25, 2013 (two years ago), during the sojourn of Chief Femi Fani-Kayode in the All Progressives Congress (APC). The report does not, in any way, represent Chief Femi Fani-Kayode's opinion of President Jonathan whom he holds very high esteem, a fact that made the former Minister of Aviation work so vigorously for Mr President as Director, Media and Publicity of his campaign organization in the just concluded presidential election. The relentless efforts of Chief Fani-Kayode in the course of the campaigns have been acknowledged by Mr President as well as the generality of Nigerians. The cordial relationship that exists between them is exemplary and legendary. We are very much aware that the reason for this latest round of unwarranted scheme by enemies of Nigeria is to sow the seed of discord and create acrimony between the president and one of his most reliable allies in particular, and in the PDP in general. But their plans have since failed! We therefore call on all those who are behind this show of shame and advise them in the strongest terms possible, to desist from such acts of cowardice, wickedness, preposterousness and puerility as they blow no one any good wind. We also call on all patriotic and well-meaning Nigerians to ignore such reports and treat them as non-existent whether now or any other time in the future. Mr President is our leader and Chief Femi Fani-Kayode holds him in very high esteem, accord him the respect he deserves and is very proud to be associated and to have worked for him. The relationship between these two great men remains cordial. No degree of campaign of calumny by misguided elements can change this very fact," |

From 1999, I was in the hands of government for 16 years. Not just in government as a parliamentarian because if you are a senator or House of Representatives member, you take care of yourself, you live in your own house. I was in a cage, being taken care of by the government for 16 good years. I think it is enough and I am happy. | African leaders to hold Boko Haram summit April 8th Posted: 05 Apr 2015 08:17 AM PDT  The summit which is being jointly organised by the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) and the Economic Community of Central African States (ECCAS) will among other things discuss on ways to tackle the sect activities which according to ECOWAS, if not checked, will destabilize the region. "In the face of the mounting and increasingly bloody attacks by the fundamentalists against Nigeria, Niger, Cameroon and Chad and the series consequences for these countries, and the real risk of destabilizing western and central Africa, the two organizations have decided to take action,"Malabo, capital of Equatorial Guinea, is being jointly organized by the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) and the Economic Community of Central African States (ECCAS). "In the face of the mounting and increasingly bloody attacks by the fundamentalists against Nigeria, Niger, Cameroon and Chad and the series consequences for these countries, and the real risk of destabilizing western and central Africa, the two organizations have decided to take action," the ECOWAS statement said. |

| Kenya says son of a Govt official was among gunmen in Garissa attack Posted: 05 Apr 2015 08:02 AM PDT  Kenya's Interior Ministry spokesman Mwenda Njoka in a text message to Reuters, said Abdirahim Abdullahi had disappeared from home the morning of the attack and his family was looking for him when the attack at the University campus occurred "The father had reported to security agents that his son had disappeared from home... and was helping the police try to trace his son by the time the Garissa terror attack happened," Njoka told Reuters An unidentified government official based in Garissa said Abdullahi, after his graduation in 2013 joined the militant group al Shabaab. "He was a very brilliant student. But then he got these crazy ideas," the official said. Meanwhile Kenya has commenced three days of National mourning over the attack. Military men were positioned outside the premises of most churches today to provide security to worshipers who came to church to partake in the Easter Celebration. |

| Posted: 05 Apr 2015 05:47 AM PDT   According to a new research carried out by US based researcher, Conrad Hackett, who works with Pews researcher, a US based non-partisan research group, Nigeria is ranked the 2nd most religious country after Pakistan and is also ranked the 4th country with the most widespread use of illegal substance, Marijuana, in the world. Is this really our reality or it is contestable?   |
