Troubled singer Chris Brown is trying his best to be a good father by overindulging his only child, Royalty. Brown, who grew up in a violent single-parent household, did not have a good foundation to learn good parenting skills because his own mother lacked good parenting skills. Like most uninformed parents, Brown thinks spoiling his daughter with expensive gifts takes the place of good parenting.

But all it really does is create a narcissist who grows up expecting special attention from others. She will likely expect to get anything she wants — and she will throw a fit if she doesn't get it.
Like most narcissists, Brown is very ative on social media, where he posts photos of himself, his toys, and now his daughter's toys.

Child experts say the best way to raise a narcissist is to overindulge or over value your children.
Excessive praise such as telling children they are cute, pretty or handsome is equally harmful because it gives the child a false sense of self.

"When narcissists don't get the special treatment they think they're entitled to, they become angry and aggressive; they lash out at others in an aggressive manner," Brad J. Bushman, PhD, professor of communication and psychology, Ohio State University, told Medscape Medical News.

"Convicted thieves, rapists, and murderers have some of the highest levels of narcissism," he said.

Singing diva Yemi Alade has declared that she is open to the idea of dating Phyno. She revealed this and many other juicy tidbits on this week's episode of MTV Base Real Talk.

Responding to the question from Twitter user @prolificJack, "Would you ever consider dating Phyno if he asked you to be his girl?" she replied, "Well, as the mama tangerine, if the household tangerine would love that, then yes I would."
It will be recalled that she has been rumoured to be romantically linked to the rapper, and this disclosure will no doubt add to the speculation around their alleged relationship.
  
In the course of this episode, Yemi Alade answers a number of questions from fans such as whether she can speak French ("Oui je parle Francais, mais elle n'est pas tres bien.") and if she can date a guy who cannot afford to buy her lunch ("If you can't get lunch, maybe you can get breakfast, maybe even dinner!")

Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike has declared that President Muhammadu Buhari will fully support his fight against the massive corruption that characterised the administration of the immediate past administration of Mr Chibuike Amaechi.
Speaking after receiving the final report of the Transition Committee of his administration on Friday, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike said that his administration is committed to recovering all funds diverted into private pockets by officials of the outgone administration.
He said : " I am confident  that  President  Muhammadu  Buhari  will support  my administration  in the quest to tackle  the  massive  corruption  that characterised  the  Amaechi  administration. 

"We are aware  that  the  immediate  past  administration  and her officials  will resort to blackmail  and propaganda  for the  purpose  of  diverting  attention from their corruption  practices. We shall  remain  focused  on the task of getting  back Rivers State  resources  and assets ".


The governor  commended the  Transition  Committee  for a job well done,  saying  that  the  committee's  interim report  helped his administration  to take off.


Submitting  the  final  report  of  the  Transition  Committee,  former  Deputy  Governor,  Tele  Ikuru  described  the  Amaechi's  administration  as the  most corrupt  in the  state's  history. 


Ikuru said that  the  former  governor  expended N812million  to furnish his personal  residence  at  the  expense  of  the  state,  while N4.96b  was spent on Justice  Karibi  White hospital with no structure  on ground.

Nigerian Army reacts to Amnesty International's indicting report

Press statement from the Nigerian Army released on their website today...
The media has been inundated with reports of Amnesty International allegations of gross human rights abuse and extra judicial killing of civilians against the Nigerian military for the past few days. Amnesty International report was released on 3 June 2015. 
Therefore, the Nigerian Military as a responsible corporate organization is bound to respond to these allegations in order to put the records in proper perspective.
For the avoidance of doubts, the Amnesty International allegations of human rights abuse and extra judicial killing of civilians are a rehash of the same allegations made against the military since 2011.

No new facts have been unearthed by Amnesty International to warrant their repeated allegations. However, the figures adduced by Amnesty International as victims of extra judicial killing by the military have kept on increasing from 4,600 to 8,000 and even as high as 13,000 civilians.

The military has the constitutional and moral responsibility to protect Nigerian citizens and cannot suddenly engage in mass murder as portrayed by Amnesty International allegations. It will be recalled that upon the written request from Amnesty International to the military to comment on the allegations, the military promptly commenced investigations into the allegations. Consequently, several investigations on these allegations are ongoing. Some investigations have turned in their preliminary reports, which have been acted upon.

Some of the investigations could not be concluded due to the inaccessibility of the terrain due to the activities of Boko Haram terrorists. Similarly the Defence Headquarters set up 2 Joint Investigation Teams (JIT) to investigate, screen and categorize suspected insurgents in detention. Out of the 504 suspects screened prima facie cases was established against 350 suspects and were recommended for trial the Federal High Court, their case files were forwarded to the office of the attorney- general and ministry of justice.

Additionally, Code of Conduct for troops in the North East and other Internal Operations and Rules of Engagement clearly spelt out guidelines for troops. Therefore the Nigerian Military does not in any way condone indiscipline or breach of such regulations, let alone wanton killing or destruction.The Nigerian Military collaborate with the International Committeeof the Red Cross on training of personnel on laws of armed conflict and humanitarian law regularly.

The preliminary investigation reports submitted have resulted in the release of some under aged detainees, women and children from some military holding facilities.Sequel to the report of the investigation panel, 42 detainees were handed over to Borno state government on Thursday 6th November 2014 and another set of 124 persons were also handed over to the state Government on 8th November 2014 respectively. You may recall that the released persons were assisted with a token financial assistant of N100,000.00 each by the military.

The living condition of the detainees was improved upon with the decongestion of holding facilities. The Nigerian Senate and the National Human Rights Commission have also conducted independent investigations on allegations of human rights violation against the Nigerian Military. It is worthy to note that Human Rights Watch on some occasions had to recant its allegations of human rights abuses by the Nigerian military after thorough investigations.

The military requested Amnesty International to provide a member for the investigation panel to look into the allegations but the invitation was not honored byAmnesty International. The essence of offering Amnesty International membership of the investigation panel was to guarantee fairness and justice while proving to the world that the military has nothing to hide or cover up. The office of Attorney General of the Federation was also carried along in all the investigations.

The military is still conducting investigations on Amnesty International allegations. In the course of forensic investigations, the withdrawal of troops from the frontline for investigation tends to dampen the morale of soldiers and distract ongoing operations against insurgents. This is one reason why the understanding of Amnesty Internationalwould be worth the while. Amnesty International wrote a 5 Point questionnaire to the Nigerian Military in November 2014 alleged extra judicial killing of some group of people by the military.

The Military responded to the 5 point questionnaire immediately and in December, precisely 23 December 2014. Amnesty International sent another 37 point questionnaire to the Nigerian Military which was answered, e-mail and hard copy was delivered to Amnesty International Headquarters in London on 23 December 2014. If the military had anything to hide it would not have responded to the 37 questions and others especially in the light of the constraints of timing.

The Nigerian Military has also allowed the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) to visit the detainees and other location at the shortest notice without hindrance and even talk to the detainees and locals. Certainly if the Nigerian Military has or had any reason to hide anything it could not have allowed International Committee of the Red Cross access to its facilities and operational area. I appeal to Amnesty International to be patient to see the outcome of the investigation.

While it took Amnesty International from 2011 – 2015 to chronicletheir allegations, they want the Nigerian Military to investigate and report immediately. The investigation is on-going, Nigerians and the world at large will certainly be informed of the outcome at the end of the investigation. For the avoidance of doubt, the Nigerian Military has zero tolerance for Human Rights abuses, extra judicial killings and acts perceived to be war crimes.

The Nigerian military is a conventional and professional military that is driven by international standards and best practices. Indeed, the Nigerian military is open to genuine criticisms and allegations but it requires time and patience to report back. It is in this spirit that Amnesty Internationaland any other interested party are encouraged to exercise necessary restraint and patience while awaiting the outcome of ongoing investigations.

'My beauty reduces men to tears' - says this 58yr old sexy grandma

A 58-year-old grandmother believes other women are intimidated by her looks, because she is so beautiful, her features have reduced men to tears.

Stephanie Arnott, who lives with husband Ian, 66, in Maidstone, Kent, says she believes she has the face and the figure of a women 20 years younger, which she puts down to 'luck and good genes'.
 
Mrs Arnott, who has one daughter and one grandchild, said her partner enjoys all the attention she gets from other men - but has also noticed that women are jealous of his wife. 

She said: 'Women can be intimidated by me because of the way I look, dress and speak. I have class, elegance and beauty, which are all powerful assets. 
'I never used to realise that other women were jealous of me, but now I see it. Women even frown at me on the street - something my husband's noticed too.
'But that's what happens when you are 58 with the face and figure of a 35-year-old. It's all natural aswell. I put it all down to luck and good genes.'

Mrs Arnott, who believes her looks have almost caused car crashes and even cleans her car while wearing a bikini, said she doesn't work out - even though 'for some strange reason my body looks as though I do'.
 
She also said she walks around 'like I've just walked off a movie set'.
She added: 'My ex-husband used to get jealous but my husband Ian loves the attention I get. He laps it up and even sometimes likes to walk behind me on the pavement just to see what happens. People inevitably stare at me as I go by and people try and chat me up.



'I've had all sorts of approached by men. I've had notes left on my windscreen.
'Once when I lived in a flat and there was scaffolding up outside a guy climbed up and left a note on my bedroom window. It said: "I'd love to wine and dine you" but I didn't take him up the offer.

'He must have thought, "I don't know how I'm going to get to this woman" so went to some extreme measures to ask me out.'
Mrs Arnott, who was married before she met her current husband and has a 38-year-old daughter, said she has always been able to 'pick and choose' her men, something which she believes is 'difficult' for other women to accept.


She said: 'Until recently (when I've lost my looks slightly) I used to cause near-accidents on the streets. People would get distracted by me and have to slam their brakes on.
'I remember walking by a crossroad with a friend once. The man at the wheel took a double take at me and there was a very near crash.
'Because I was with a friend, we laughed, but had I been on my own I would have pretended not to see.

'I am used to people looking at me. It's always been so overwhelming - like I'm in the wrong place so I'm used to pretending not to see. I feel a bit silly saying but it's true.
'I've also had men getting emotional on me. I can be talking to someone and then I'll notice they are getting soppy and tearful – and trying to hold back tears.

31 year old man stabs wife to death in Lagos over infidelity

A 31-year-old man named, Michael David, who allegedly stabbed his wife, Onyinyechi Dennis, to death on Friday appeared before an Ebute Meta Chief Magistrates' Court, Lagos. The accused, who resides in Ojoku around Olodi-Apapa, is facing a charge of murder. The Prosecutor, Insp. Emmanuel Ajayi, told the court that the offence was committed on April 7, at No. 24, Ojoku St., Olodi Apapa in Lagos.


Ajayi alleged that the accused stabbed Dennis, his wife, to death with a kitchen knife over allegations of infidelity. "David confronted the deceased over allegations that she was cheating on him, a fight ensued leading him to stab his wife to death," he said. Ajayi noted that the offence contravened Section 221 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2011.

The section prescribes a death sentence for offenders. The plea of the accused was not taken by the court. The Chief Magistrate, Mr O.O. Olatunji ordered that the accused be remanded at the Ikoyi Prisons pending the receipt of legal advice from the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPPs). The case was adjourned till July 17.

MTN explains why they dropped Wizkid, Sean Tizzle & Timaya as ambassdors

Race-hate killer almost backed out when the black church-goers he murdered were so nice to him

Race-hate killer Dylann Roof, who is currently on suicide watch, during his confession reportedly admitted to Charleston police and the FBI that he 'almost didn't go through with the killing because everyone at the church was very nice to him'. He said because he had planned the killing for long, he knew he couldn't back out because his plan was to start a 'race-civil-war' before killing himself.

His roommate confirmed that Roof had been planning the massacre for 6 months but no one thought he would go through with it. They said he hated black people and complained that 'blacks were taking over the world' and someone needed to do something about it for the sake of 'the white race'.

Dylann is currently in a cell in Charleston County separate from other inmates for his own safety.

The Executive secretary of the Cocoa Association of Nigeria, Mr Michael Olusegun Adewunmi was kidnapped by unknown gunmen at Akinjo Junction, Oshokoti area in Akure the Ondo state capital, last night June 18th. The kidnappers forced him out of his Toyota Lexus SUV, took his Ipad and mobile phones. No word has been heard from his kidnappers.

The incredible moment a lifeguard saved a child who was almost drowning in a pool packed full of people was captured on film and shared on Youtube. The video showed a young black boy who lost control of his flotation device and toppled into the water. The boy panicked and began struggling to get his head above water...and no one in the pool noticed he was drowning. Fortunately for him, a lifeguard noticed what was happening and dived into the water to rescue him.

After Abuja, the MTN train will move to Ibadan and Accra, Ghana on 27th July while Lagos will be the next location for contestants on 3rd and 4th of July.
