Football stars Vincent Enyeama and Musa Ahmed gave back to an orphanage in Abuja today June 6th. The children met with the footballers at the Main bowl of the Abuja National Stadium. President Buhari says he and his vice, Osinbajo, will declare their assets publicly after the Code Of Conduct Bureau does its verification on the asset declaration form they submitted on May 28th.

The new President gave this assurance in a statement released today by his media aide, Shehu Garba. In the statement, President Buhari said he hopes that the verification will be conducted within their 100 days in office.

Did you know that 80% of Nigerian adults would pour water on an unconscious patient in order to wake him up? This is totally wrong… 

Did you know that 86% of Nigerian adults would give water to someone that is choking while eating in order to stop the choking? This is ridiculous… 

Did you also know that over 70% of adults in Nigeria would put spoon or stick in the mouth of someone convulsing in order to save him from dying? This is Laughable…

Finally, did you know that over 65% of the adults in Nigeria would rub palm oil or engine oil on someone who has suffered from burns? This is amazing…

Almost everyday in Nigeria, people slump at homes, schools, offices, markets etc and die simply because the people around do not have the necessary Emergency medical care / First Aid skills required to resuscitate and keep them alive till they get to the nearest hospitals. And unfortunately in Nigeria, there is almost no Paramedic care for medical emergencies.

Studies have shown that quite a number of patients with medical emergencies brought to the hospitals die within the first 24 hrs from the time of the accident (3.6% dead on arrival) and most of the deaths are due to late presentation or due to poor First Aid care they received before Medical help arrives.

Based on all these findings, Golden Hour Medics was formed in order to help reduce the number of deaths as a result of inadequate First Aid care people receive immediately after an accident from the people around. Hon Femi Gbajabiamila representing Surulere Federal Constituency 1 in the Federal House of Reps won the APC  mock poll conducted in Abuja to test the opinion of party members on their choice of candidates for the position of Speaker. Femi Gbajabiamila pulled a total of 154 votes out of the 182 votes accredited.

Jennifer Lopez is being sued by an education group in Morocco for 'disturbing public order and tarnishing women's honour and respect'. Lol. What did JLo do in particular? She shook her legendary butt during a performance on stage in Morocco on May 29th and it was broadcast on public TV.

The group said JLo's costume was too skimpy and inappropriate, the dancing was too sexy, and she and her dancers were shaking their ass on TV. They said all that was too immoral to be shown on TV and now are suing JLo and the promoter of the concert. This is actually sort-of a crime in Morocco, 'disturbing public order'. If found guilty, JLo faces up 1 month to 2 years in prison. Lol. But I'm sure no Moroccan court will bother with this case
