Posted: 22 Jun 2015 01:30 PM PDT  I need to call the attention of the ministry of health and the nursing and midwifery Council of Nigeria to wake up from their slumber. It's not a new news that Auxiliary Nurses have taken over the private hospitals, there by giving bad name to the profession and causing the death of many. Can u imagine the penalty for those training killers? N1000 at the expense of peoples lives. I know of one hospital in Egbeda, Lagos state that duplicates registered Nurses license and give it to auxiliary Nurses. Chief nurse Onome on behalf of the Registered Nurses. |

| Kashamy vs NDLEA: court to rule on contempt proceedings tomorrow Posted: 22 Jun 2015 12:47 PM PDT  A Federal High Court sitting in Lagos will tomorrow rule on contempt trial slammed against the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) and the Attorney General of the Federation (AGF) and Minister of Justice by Senator Buruji Kashamu. Kashamu initiated the proceeding following the invasion of his house in Lekki Lagos by operatives of NDLEA on the 23rd of May, 2015.He claimed that the invasion is a violation of an existing order of the court. At the proceeding today, the court presided over by Justice Ibrahim Buba dismissed the application for stay of proceeding by the NDLEA and the AGF. He also rejected the request for an adjournment sought by the respondents. It would be recalled that the NDLEA invaded the Lagos home of Senator Kashamu with over 50 operatives claiming that it has a request from the US government to extradite him to face drug related trial. On several occasions, Senator Kashamu had consistently maintained his innocence claiming that a UK Court had exonerated him on the matter. He got a court order barring the NDLEA from arresting him pending the determination of a suit he instituted against the AGF, NDLEA, the Police and other security agencies. Last Friday, Chief Emeka Ngige (SAN) claimed that the Federal Government had appeal against the orders and judgments of the court at the Court of Appeal. In a swift reaction, Senator Kashamu through his media aide, Austin Oniyokor accused the lawyer of doing a hatchet job. He claimed that Ngige was not briefed for the job by the Office of the AGF saying that the lawyer was only working for his political opponents. He also claimed that contrary to Ngige's claim, there was no Notice of Appeal against the ruling of the lower court. |

| President Buhari to remove oil subsidy? Posted: 22 Jun 2015 10:28 AM PDT  President Buhari plans to totally remove fuel subsidy and use the proceeds for the provision of free and compulsory primary/secondary education across the country. The administration is also said to be working on unbundling the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, NNPC, to make it more efficient in the production and delivery of products to Nigerians. These proposals form part of the strong recommendations made by the transition committee raised by Buhari to work out a blueprint for his administration.Asked if the proposal for total subsidy removal had been discussed with labour, the source said that members of organized labour in the country were consulted by the committee and they made presentations on what should be done over the matter. The source said: " Labour is part of the decision; they have accepted the proposal of fuel subsidy removal. "A committee is likely to be set up by the federal government to work out the modalities of what is to be done in that respect. "But the truth is that total removal of fuel subsidy has been recommended with adequate provisions for palliatives on free education and social welfare for the unemployed", a member of the transition committee said. The source pointed out that unlike in the past, the Buhari administration is considering the provision of free meals for students to serve as incentives for them to enroll in school. |

He'd kept getting terrible headaches, and had shaky hands and tunnel vision. He'd been for an MRI scan just before we'd gone on holiday and when we got back, the hospital called him back in for the results  Mrs Parke said: 'We were just numb with shock. The doctors told us that he had about four to six months left. I just broke down completely. '  After their wedding, the couple discussed the possibility of having children, and Mrs Parke suggested freezing his sperm so that she could have his children after he had gone. She said: 'I knew that Mike didn't want to die before becoming a dad, so I thought this would be the best decision.  In December 2010, the couple went to an IVF clinic in Southampton where they had Mike's sperm banked. They talked about names and decided on Charlie if it was going to be a boy. Mrs Parke said: 'I knew we had made the best decision. Shortly afterwards Mike began chemotherapy treatment which took a terrible toll on his health.  Four months later, Mrs Parke had her first attempt at IVF. Two weeks later she discovered she was pregnant.  Her son Charlie was born in June 2012, at Bath's Royal United Hospital, weighing a healthy 5Ib15. She said: 'It was the most amazing moment when he was born. And when I looked into Charlie's big blue eyes I had hope for the future.  He was admitted to hospital five times in his first year with bronchiolitis, and it was terrifying as each time I thought I was going to lose him. But he did pull through, thankfully.' Mrs Parke then underwent a second IVF attempt last year, but it failed. Another two attempts failed, and then on her fourth attempt she fell pregnant again. She gave birth to daughter Isla in April. | Women empowerment: Jigawa Governor donates 8,000 goats to widows Posted: 22 Jun 2015 09:29 AM PDT  Speaking with newsmen in Dutse the state capital today June 22nd, Governor Badaru said between 25 and 30 widows would be selected from each of the 287 wards in the state to benefit from the programme and that each of the widows will be given 2 she-goats and one he-goat to rear. He added that the women will be given breeds of goats that are of very high economic values & can reproduce twice or thrice a year. |

Getting to the **** branch, i met a staff of *** who directed me to another colleague. I explained to the guy everything that happened and he was kind of not buying the story that the fake N1,000 was not from their ATM Machine, but he said that it was very possible for things of such to occur. i then asked him to help me scan the remaining cash i withdrew from their ATM Machine so i would know if their was still more of the fake currency with me which he did not want to, so i told him i wanted to see their manager and he did directed to the manager. I saw her and explained every thing to her and all she could say was they don't dispense fake currency and that she was sorry about everything. Eventually they scanned the balance of my cash. Linda, the bottom line is that there is a criminal in that branch that must have done this and we don't even know if there are still more of those fake cash inside their ATM machine. This is how so many people die for no just cause because imagine if i had gone to a place like Oshodi with such money to buy stuffs unknowingly and then One old woman will just screen Ole and you know happens next. Only God know how many victims are out there but keep quiet because they personally feel its not worth the noise and all. Everybody should be careful and beware!!!!
