Horror! Gravedigger takes pic with rotting corpse he'd just dug up from ground

Posted: 12 Sep 2014 01:21 PM PDT

Warning - *Graphic Content*. Oh sorry, y'all already seen it..lol. But seriously how disgusting is this? That is a corpse they are posing next to and then sharing the pic on social media.

55 year old Celestino Reyna (pictured right) has been suspended for a digging up a corpse at the cemetary in Guardamar del Segura, near Alicante on the Costa Blanca, and allowing people pose next to it. He's pictured above smiling with the dead man and his nephew after digging up the body to rebury it in the same grave as the deceased's wife.

The dead man died 23 years ago and had been mummified. It was actually the dead man's niece who asked to take a pic of the corpse and when she shared it on whatsapp, it went viral with several others posting it on Facebook. When the cemetary saw their gravedigger in the pic, they fired him.

Doctor who performed throat procedure on Joan Rivers fired

Posted: 12 Sep 2014 12:19 PM PDT

And the drama unfolds. TMZ just broke the news that the doctor who performed the endoscopy on late legendary comedian Joan Rivers at Yorkville Endoscopy, NY, has been fired by the clinic's board.
Dr. Lawrence Cohen stepped down after the board asked him to do so - however, the board isn't directly blaming him for Joan's death..
A rep for the clinic confirmed he was ousted from his position as medical director. According to our sources ... the board's issue with Cohen is that he allowed Joan's doc to step in and perform an unauthorized procedure. Reportedly, that procedure was a biopsy ... and Joan went into respiratory and cardiac arrest while it was being done. Cohen is a world renowned gastroenterologist ... and also co-owner of Yorkville. He's been on administrative leave since Joan's procedure on August 28.

Venus and Serena Williams not speaking to each other?

Posted: 12 Sep 2014 10:33 AM PDT

There are reports that once close sisters Venus and Serena Williams are barely speaking to each other these days...

From Page Six

Tennis insiders are whispering that Serena Williams' partying has caused an icy rift between her and her sister, Venus Williams.
The tennis champs have not been seen together off the court in recent weeks, and many wonder if Serena's late nights out and disappointing doubles performances have annoyed the more low-key Venus.
An insider was heard during the US Open claiming, "They're not in a good place right now. Venus is angry with Serena," because of her active social life off the court.
Some noticed Venus and Serena didn't arrive together or even speak to each other at the Taste of Tennis kickoff event for the US Open a few weeks ago.
"There was no acknowledgment that either one was even there," said one.
The sisters lost in the US Open women's doubles quarterfinals after they had to pull out at Wimbledon, where Serena developed a mysterious illness. They'd also declined to appear together at a mandatory press conference after losing at the US Open.

Lady shot dead in Lagos on her way to work this morning

Posted: 12 Sep 2014 10:22 AM PDT

A lady identified as Oluwabunmi Adeola Oladokun, and a man were in the early hours of today, around 5.30am, shot dead by unidentified gunmen in Orisumbare area of Idimu, Lagos State.

According to Sahara Reporters, Oladokun was on her way to her Victoria Island office when she was shot dead. She was said to have died on the spot while the other victim, a man, whose identity is still unknown managed to escape with a gunshot injury and is currently receiving treatment at a private hospital in the area. Continue...

The motive for the gun attack is still unknown but according to eyewitnesses, Oladokun was running and calling for help before she was shot dead by the unknown gunmen.

Oladokun, said to be the only daughter of her parents, whose mother died recently, previously worked with a publishing company that produces a magazine before she recently joined a PR firm on Lagos Island.

The father of the lady, Pastor Peter Oladokun of the Mighty Hand of God church, a popular church in the area, located along Ejigbo Road, Orisumbare, said a neighbour informed him about the attack involving his daughter and that when he got to the scene of the incident, he found his daughter already dead.

He said he had already informed the police who have started investigations. The father said the family would await conclusion on autopsy report before burying her.

Iggy Azalea's ex-boyfriend shopping their sex-tape, but could be in trouble because she was a minor

Posted: 12 Sep 2014 07:37 AM PDT

Australian rapper Iggy Azalea has a sex tape that her ex-boyfriend wants to sell to porn giant Vivid Entertainment, for revenge. Iggy's lawyers said the blonde rapper is the woman in the video but may have been under 18 when the sex tape was filmed. The lawyer also claimed there was a chance the video was shot without her knowledge or consent.

The lawyers said the bitter ex is trying to 'damage her image and career out of revenge.' and they plan to go after him because she was a minor, they claim. Continue..

Sources also say Vivid's CEO Steve Hirsch is offering Iggy a seven-figure sum for the raunchy tape.

Last night the 24 year old rapper hit out on twitter, first denying it was her in the tape, then lashing out at Vivid and the media
"I dont have a sex tape but for the record. Anyone who releases or attempts to make profit off someone else's intimate moments against their will is a sex offender."
"It honestly makes me sick to see the media encourage any other attitude towards those sorts of people, we should want to protect our women. And I really hope that America will follow Europe and their laws to better protect peoples privacy and fundamental rights."
Dear young girls, stop filming your sex acts. It could come back to bite you in your fake butt...;-)

Lagos state government supports FG September resumption date

Posted: 12 Sep 2014 06:33 AM PDT

The Lagos state Government has thrown its weight behind the September 22nd public and private schools resumption date by the Federal government following efforts to contain the Ebola virus outbreak in the country.

In a statement issued by the Special Adviser to the state governor on Media, Lateef Raji, the state government says following the non-existence of any Ebola virus patient in the state, it is safe for students to return back to their classes. Find the statement after the cut...

1. Concerning the resumption of all public and private nursery, primary and secondary schools for the 2014/2015 session, Lagos State Government supports the September 22, 2014 date, which was announced by the Federal Government after a national consultation on efforts to contain the Ebola Virus Disease (EVD) in Nigeria.
2. Although this resumption date is advisory, as education is a concurrent matter to be regulated by the respective Federal and States Authorities, Lagos State Government considers it eminently justifiable, in view of the fact that there is currently no known carrier of EVD in our State at the moment. Furthermore, the last individual suspected to have been exposed to the virus will be discharged from observation on September 18, 2014, if he tests negative for the virus. All public and private educational institutions in the State are therefore directed to schedule their resumption accordingly.
3. Considering the current situation report, it is clear that the risk of infection with EVD in Lagos State has been significantly reduced. Health professionals working on the outbreak are also in agreement that there is no reason why schools should remain closed beyond the 22nd of September, 2014.
4. In spite of the foregoing, the State Government has now developed and will deploy all resources necessary to sustain the capacity to promptly take into custody any person suspected to be infected with EVD, as well as safely test, monitor and isolate such a person for treatment as may be found necessary without endangering other members of the public.
5. We also acknowledge the need for everyone to remain very vigilant, as the disease still remains in other countries within the sub-region. The following steps will therefore be taken in all schools, whether public or private, before and after resumption of schools:
(a) Training and sensitization of students, vendors, teachers and non academic staff on EVD and how to avoid it;
(b) Identification of EVD Focal Persons in schools who would be responsible for surveillance and health monitoring;
(c) Provision of adequate environmental sanitation, including clean toilets and premises;
(d) Provision of running water and soap and encouragement of frequent hand washing;
(e) Sensitisation of students on other personal hygiene habits, like the use of handkerchiefs when sneezing or coughing; and
(f) Arrangement for prompt referral of any sick person to the nearest health institution for treatment.
7. In spite of the foregoing, the State Government reiterates that the health of all its residents is a matter of utmost importance and, if any reasons emerge for a reconsideration of the school resumption date, a well-considered decision will be taken and the general public will be informed accordingly.
  1. The State Government salutes the health personnel and health institutions that have done their best to ensure the containment of EVD. Government officials will meet presently with those health institutions, which might have suffered adverse economic consequences as a result, and will find ways of assisting them to mitigate their loses and safely reopen for business as soon as possible.
    Signed: Lateef Raji. Special Adviser On Information And Strategy. September 12, 2014

Abia state Governor's son sues Sun newspaper for N5bn

Posted: 12 Sep 2014 06:29 AM PDT

Chinedu Orji, the first son of the Governor of Abia state, Theodore Orji, has dragged the Sun newspapers limited owned by his father's predecessor, Orji Uzor Kalu, before an Abia state High Court claiming N5 billion damages over alleged libelous publication by the paper on March 10, 2014, where he was called as a terrorist.

The newspaper had in the said publication written in part "it is not a secret affair as his terrorist activities in the state are fully documented". Continue...

Briefing newsmen yesterday September 11th in Umuahia the state capital, a member of his legal team, Chief Chukwunyere Nwabuko said former Governor Uzor Kalu had been using his media platform to publish libelous articles against the Governor and his son who he says does not hold any political position in his father's cabinet.

The suit with case number HOH/2014 has a three-point claim which includes
"The sum of N5 billion as damages for libel; an unreserved apology to be published in at least three editions of the Daily Sun Newspapers; and an order of perpetual injunction restraining the defendants, their agents, privies, servants and associates from further writing, printing and publishing of the said libellous matter or a similar one against the claimant."

Shock photos: Liberian woman found hanging in Lagos

Posted: 12 Sep 2014 05:29 AM PDT

Earlier today I shared a pic here of a suspected suicide victim in the Magodo area of Lagos. The woman found hanging from the tree in the early hours of today September 12th on Bankole Street, Isheri-Oke, Lagos has been identified as a Liberian woman simply called Kate.

According to Punch, the woman was a worker in a sachet water factory before she killed herself. A resident of the area said people in the area started to distance themselves from her after the outbreak of Ebola in Lagos which was brought into the country by a Liberian. They also started avoiding her because of her ill health, a situation believed to have frustrated her enough to commit suicide.
"We see her in this neighbourhood every day. I used to see her every day in the dress she died in.She always looked sick but people stopped selling to her after the Ebola outbreak. It could be because she was Liberian and looked sickly. This might have frustrated her."

FRSC to introduce ‘flying ticket policy’ for road offenders

Posted: 12 Sep 2014 06:58 AM PDT

The Federal Road Safety Commission, FRSC, has announced it will soon be introducing 'Flying Ticket Policy' to penalize traffic offenders in the country.
The FRSC made this known yesterday September 11th at a conference in Abuja. They said the policy would empower officers of the commission to take picture evidence of traffic offenders in the country
"We are going to introduce flying tickets for traffic offenders which will enable our men and other road users to be able to report offenders by providing concrete evidence to us for prosecution. The picture of traffic offenders can be taken with mobile phone or any device that has camera. Continue...
What we need is the number plate of the vehicle and may be the picture of the driver, time and location. Once they send these data to our site or telephone number, we will search for the vehicle through Auto Reg. Data Bank and send the fine to the offenders. We are almost concluding on getting the necessary approval as we are still consulting with stakeholders and standard organisation of Nigeria (SON) to agree on speed limit," he said.
He added that the fine for offenders could be as much as N50k in order to serve as deterrence to others
