E! Fashion police co-hosts don't want NeNe Leakes as host?

Posted: 07 Oct 2014 01:30 PM PDT

It was revealed recently that Real Housewives of Atlanta star NeNe Leakes is the top contender to replace late comic genius Joan Rivers on E!'s Fashion Police but it looks like the current co-hosts including Guiliana Rancic and Kelly Osborne aren't happy about the choice.

From Life & Style

According to the source, the execs "love" the idea of having NeNe since "fans really respond well to her." Now, the only problem is getting the co-hosts to like her as well.
"Melissa [Rivers] thinks it's a huge mistake and Kelly [Osbourne] and Giuliana [Rancic] think it's an outrage...They're afraid that it will become the NeNe Show," the insider added."Melissa just doesn't think NeNe should be in the running and definitely doesn't think she even comes close to filling her mother's shoes."

Stop everything you are currently doing and take a look at Ms.Prosper's image – what did you think?  Hold on to your thoughts while we come back to that shortly.  But please read on.
Have you ever wondered why at a gathering, environment or organisation, you can immediately tell who you are comfortable with, who not to speak to, who you admire from afar and even sometimes ask yourself if you really should be in a particular environment? Fit or misfit, 'image' is the perception of a mental concept of a person place or thing.

Prosper before
Nobody will see your Mercedes parked outside or your beautiful home; so, you are judged, evaluated and assessed by your preferences and style alone.  Proven and true, whether you are conscious or not, you give off messages based on superficial evidences collected around you (e.g how you dress, how you look, what you say or don't say, how you smell, walk, sit, et cetera) which in turn are used to make intuitive yet profound evaluations about you.  Not only that, these collective evidences gathered then inform and dictate how people will respond to you, ascertain your levels of authority and even determine whether you are credible or not. YES!

This is what happens - not life! This is what happens with your business, your career development, your chance at a promotion, your chance for employment, your opportunities for relationships, the sustainability of your marriage, this is what dictates your chance at competing equally in your industry let alone winning… this is what happens when you wonder what is not happening to your finances.  The lustre of your image is gone.

But like with Ms. Prosper, you can get it back.  At BlondeDolly Image Consulting, they are all about your image: they are most particular about those details that are capable of returning life-transforming values.  At BlondeDolly Image Consulting, they focus on developing your image (be it personal or corporate); strengthening your professional and executive presence; and helping you make consistent visual impacts that return strategic benefits.  At BlondeDolly Image Consulting, they are more than creating for you a panache advantage – you will become it.

Posted: 07 Oct 2014 12:48 PM PDT

Below is the press release..

1.         2Face: African Queen
2.         9ice: Gongo Aso
3.         D'Banj: Oliver Twist
4.         P Square Feat. Waje : Do Me

Other artists/tracks that received an honourable mention included: Styl Plus: Olufunmi; Shank: Julie; DJ Jimmy Jatt: Stylee; Ikechukwu feat. Don Jazzy & D'banj: Wind Am Well; D'Banj: Fall in Love.

Alex Okosi, Senior Vice President & Managing Director, Viacom International Media Networks (VIMN) Africa, welcomes the heated debate sparked by the programme "We are thrilled to see the passion with which people are engaging in the discussion about the Best Naija Tracks.  There has been concern in some quarters that the list didn't include some of Nigeria's most seminal artists and songs - it seems as if some people may have misinterpreted the campaign. This list of tracks, as voted by the public, was never intended to reflect the Best Naija Tracks of all time; the creation of this campaign is part of the build up to our 10th birthday and it was supposed to highlight artistes that have been played on our channel since the launch of MTV Base in 2005, hence the title "The Best Naija Tracks Ever on MTV Base". We understand that the positioning could have been misleading on some of our platforms and we regret any confusion caused."
"As a brand, we acknowledge and respect the fact that Nigeria has a long music history beyond the last 10 years and our work since launching MTV Base is to help develop and showcase the best of Nigerian and African music to a global audience.  The "Best Naija Tracks Ever on MTV Base" campaign is really about celebrating the new generation of talent who have benefitted from the legends who paved the way for their successes today."
Continued Okosi, "The important thing is that everyone has their own views about what makes a great song or a great artist, and we're keen to hear their thoughts. We are continuing the debate and encouraging music fans to further engage with the campaign via our digital media platforms.  We will also be filming a special MTVBase Nigerian music roundtable in Lagos on this topic, featuring artistes, DJs and music industry experts.  The roundtable will air on MTV Base in November 2014 as part of the channel's build up to our 10th birthday celebrations. Simultaneously, MTVBase is challenging music fans to create their own lists of Best Naija Tracks, and to post them on MTVBase social media assets, or to get involved in the conversation by using the hashtag #BaseBestNaijaTracks. Those engaging in the campaign stand the chance to have their comments featured in the roundtable discussion on MTV Base."

US may start screening air passengers for Ebola

Posted: 07 Oct 2014 12:37 PM PDT

Looks like the US is considering screening passengers from Ebola hit countries before they enter the country. This is coming about a week after a Liberian man entered the country with Ebola. President Obama said yesterday that though the likelihood of an Ebola outbreak in the US is "extremely low' but they have to react.
"We're also going to be working on protocols to do additional passenger screening both at the source and here in the United States. Countries that think that they can sit on the sidelines and just let the United States do it, that will result in a less effective response, a less speedy response, and that means that people die."
"And it also means that the potential spread of the disease beyond these areas in West Africa becomes more imminent," President Obama said at the White House briefing with US health officials
The Liberian man who became the first case of Ebola diagnosed on American soil, Thomas Eric Duncan, is in a critical condition in a hospital isolation unit in Dallas.

Ponmo consumption is dangerous to health- Leather Scientist says

Posted: 07 Oct 2014 10:56 AM PDT

The Director General of the Nigerian Institute of Leather Science & Technology (NILEST), Zaria, Dr Isuwa Adamu, has said that consumption of animal hides and skin, popularly known as Ponmo is dangerous to human health. Speaking to the News Agency of Nigeria, NAN, today in Abuja, Adamu said scientific research has shown that ponmo doesn't have any nutritional value to human health and that some of the animals where ponmo is gotten from are usually sick & harbor dangerous chemicals.
"In fact, it is not advisable for you to consume ponmo in the sense that some of the animals killed and used for ponmo actually have skin diseases. Some of these skin diseases are such that boiling them ordinarily, may not kill the bacteria. Some of the animals because of the ailments that they have gone through, are sometimes treated by way of injection with chemicals.
People don't allow these chemicals to complete its cycle and be removed from the body; they sometimes go ahead to kill these animals. So, if you consume the ponmo, the tendency is that you are consuming the chemicals directly because the skin part of the animal retains most of the harmful substances. Remember your skin is the major protective organ of your body and your skin harbours so many of the harmful things that are supposed to penetrate into your body," he explained.
He advised the Federal government to put in place policies that would reduce the consumption of Ponmo in Nigeria.

Kemi Omotoyinbo's death was very preventable - Sola Fajana

Posted: 07 Oct 2014 10:15 AM PDT

Dancer Kemi Omotoyinbo died on October 1st after being in and out of labour for several days at a private hospital in Lagos. (Read here). Wellness doctor, Sola Fajana says her death was preventable. Read what he wrote below...
I read about Kemi Omotoyinbo's death some few days back and I still feel so much burden to write about it. She is a popular dancer and died during child birth. Her friends took to social media to condemn the managing Doctor on how she was treated and refusal to perform the surgery due to unavailability of funds.
If I were the Doctor I would have gone ahead to save her life but my concern is why did her friends keep her there if they knew she could not afford it? I mean, 450k is a lot of money and if you can't afford it, go to a cheaper facility.
Why toy with your friend's life? I still know of some centers in Nigeria that you can get CS done for as low as 50K.

Again we can't say much because we don't know what transpired between both parties.

It is my duty to let you know that WHEN ACTIVE LABOUR LASTS MORE THAN 12HOURS, you are placing the life of the baby or the mother or both of them at risk. At that point it is an emergency.

Common reasons you may be advised to have Emergency Casserian Section:

1. Distressed foetus.
2. A previous CS scar.
3. Failed induction of Labour.
4. Bleeding or cord prolapse.
5. Scan showing transverse or breech presentation.
6. Estimated size of baby is too large.
7. Twin babies are entwined.
8. Baby has a congenital abnormality such as hydrocephalus.
9. Pelvis is particularly small or an unusual shape.

Imagine the number of people that die each day due to such negligence. It was a death that could have been prevented

Enjoy the Holiday

I took off a week from work and I'm the topic of my city, they're laughing because I'm walking around with this fool. He was kissing me in my job, made the DJ switch the song to my name, I have a video of us playing piano together, this is embarrassing."
About the unprotected sex, Jhonni said
"I asked him why he messed with me with no condom, what if I get pregnant. He said 'I'm not worried about that, I just want ot give you the best of me'. He wanted to feel all of me. He ate me out. He kissed me. He's a loving sexual person."
She said she and Drake got into a heated argument over his sleeping with another woman and after that he began to threaten her. After a group of unknown men showed up at her house Jhonni filed a police report and now Drake is wanted in Houston for questioning.

See first pics of the transexual wife who was murdered & cooked by her husband

Posted: 07 Oct 2014 06:51 AM PDT

Unbelievable! This stunning 27 year old transsexual woman (meaning she used to be a man) named Mayang Prasetyo from Indonesia was murdered by her 28 year old chef husband Marcus Peter Volke who then cooked her in their apartment in Brisbane, Australia. When police entered the home, they found some of Mayang's body spread out across their home while some of her remains were found boiling in chemicals on a stove.

After killing and cooking his wife who once advertised herself as a high-class transsexual escort, Marcus slit his own throat as he fled from police. See photo of the couple after the cut...

Neigbours of the couple called police after they perceived a terrible smell coming from the apartment on Saturday night October 4th. When police arrived there, Marcus fled the apartment and his body was later found in a wheelie bin close to his home.

Nobody knows why he killed his wife but according to his family, he had no history of mental illness or doesn't have a violent record.

Photos: My weightloss story - Ifedolapo Towobola

Posted: 07 Oct 2014 04:42 AM PDT

Article written by a LIB reader, Ife. Enjoy...
It all started on my way to Dubai where I was weighing 142kg. I will normally get an extra seat belt aboard the flight which for me is normal. Upon arrival at Doha airport, I had a small heart attack which sent me to the emergency unit of the airport. After all the check-ups that I got, all that the doctor could tell me is that i need to loose 50kg of your body weight, if not, i might be at a very high health risk. Even though I have been battling my body fat since 1999 with no result, the expression on the doctor face tells me that I don't have any other option than to shed the weight.
I tried all sorts of workout in gym, but all in vain.
So for 6 months in 2009, I did a lot of workout in the gym and all I lost was 12kg but still not satisfied because I was still an obese. I should not weigh above 80kg according to my BMI. After all I did and my effort without the desired outcome, I became very sad. I have spent most of my life savings on trying to lose weight. All I can do at that time was to give up,what next, I went back to my usual eating habit.

At some point I decided to try again, I consumed maple syrup diet for 2weeks and I lost 7 kg but gained it back in less than 4 days. Then I realized that with the maple syrup diet you only lose water not fat.

After all these efforts, my sister introduced me to a syrup called Mexican syrup which is a composition unprocessed Asian palm syrups, unprocessed agave mexican syrup and also unprocessed hibiscus syrup (unlike regular processed syrups with zero nutritional value. This is harvested from the tree without harming the tree). No preservatives and no chemical processes. It's a fresh organic drink.

The Mexican syrup is not a branded product, it is very healthy and it's the fastest way of losing weight (at least I have seen so far). When I tried it for the first 2 weeks I lost 15kg then I did another 2 weeks for which I lost an  additional 12kg. By the time I finished on the 8th week, I had already lost 42kg. In total of 3months I lost 63kg which was amazing and unbelievable for me. Now, I feel so happy because I achieved my goal in just 3months, yes 3months. It wasn't easy but I needed to be healthy and fit.

The amazing part of it is that the Mexican syrup which I named FABSLIMTOX is a cocktail juice just like every other regular Chapman and cocktail drink. A lot of people were against my drinking it because they felt the weight I lost was just too drastic and it could affect my health but all I could say after the weight loss is that I have gone through a comprehensive medical check-up which proved that I'm better and healthier than before.

Come to think of it, a lot of people have forgotten that doctors who kicked against people Losing weight drastically would perform a surgery on u, and take off 20 to 30kg of fat from you at once. It was then I told myself that why go for surgery when I can just achieve the weight loss with just a COCKTAIL REGIMEN. Some doctors have tried my regimen and they are still in shock of the amazing result. Another surprising part of it is the side effects on women which I experienced, it's high libido, high ovulation and heavy period. For this, I have advised people who have tried it with me that if you are not ready to get pregnant, you should protect yourself. Most of all the women who tried this regimen have lost weight or gotten pregnant( At least 92 women are pregnant and 28 are delivered of a baby successfully). I'm also expecting a baby soon too.

Linda so far so good this is my second year after the weight loss and I can tell the whole world that I am fit. I even participated at the 10km we run Lagos race in 2013. What more can I say, I am very grateful to God and the people who encouraged me.

Anybody can feel free to contact me on bbm pin 763206D0 or whatsapp number 09093213982.
This is my story!

To the guys that want to take down LIB, here's a message to you.. lol

Posted: 07 Oct 2014 02:30 AM PDT

So something has been going on for the past couple of days that I haven't reacted to because I wanted to see it play out and see how far these people will go. They have gone far and it's now time to react.

The only reason this is happening to me is because I'm number one...so I am flattered. I am currently No.10 on Alexa.com, more read than all the other news sites in Nigeria, so I understand why I am the target. If I were them, I'd hate me too...lol.

So here's what's going on. Sometime last year, some guys decided it was time to run me out of business (duh, like you can...lol). So they began to spam by blog. And when your blog gets a lot of spam, Google (which hosts my site) can take your blog down. But instead of taking my blog down, Google took my Adsense down for a few months and eventually re-instated it. So they didn't succeed. These same people started sending strange emails to me...looking for different ways to have access to my blog. But I wouldn't let them. If they could, they would have hacked it, but they couldn't so they continued to look for different ways to attack my blog. Please continue...

In April 2014, these guys decided to close down the blog again. In the emails they exchanged back and forth, they said 'plagiarism is a good excuse to finish her'. (they forget that if they succeed in closing down LIB because I'm on blogger...I could easily start a website). Now let me tell you who these guys are. They are IT people, security experts who know how the internet works. They are hackers and cyber-squatters...and only go after the biggest internet setups.

Immediately after I shared photos of my new SUV, these guys re-connected again and decided it was finally time to end LIB because there were quite a few people who were mad that I bought the car and they wanted to play on their emotions. The head of this team is a guy who goes by the name @MrAyeDee on twitter. They decided to use the plagiarism card. He said it was the strongest claim to make and easiest way to get support from other people. And then the campaign started with him claiming that I took something from him without crediting him or asking for permission. 100% false. If he owns a website, I've never visited it. He started by writing all sorts to get people to notice...and then he acted. Like I said these guys are IT experts, they know what to do to get blogger/Google to come after you. So he and his team started filling several reports, sending links of my blog posts and making claims to Google. Outrageous false claims. And because Google acts first before they contact the blog owner, they took down some posts and asked me to file a counter claim if I felt I had a right to re-publish those articles. Now that my blog is under Google review, these guys have started to spam it again.

They want Google to shut it down. That is their aim. Will they succeed? I sincerely don't know. I'm not an IT expert...I know they are spamming and filing complaints, I don't know what else they are doing behind the scenes but they are relentless.

Now let me give you guys a bit who this Aye Dee guy is. He's anonymous on Twitter. Nobody really knows who he is but according to those investigating him, his name is Emmanuel Efremov simply known as EE by his friends. He's the owner of 15Past8.com media group. Based in Manhattan. Gets funding from some US organization. (His number - 212 9608127). He's apparently been stalking me for years now and have registered quite a number of my domain names...lindaikeji.net plus 8 others. He also owns 9jalife.com...yep, he owns a blog. He accuses me of copyright infringement but when you go to 9jalife and other websites he owns...98% of the things he has on there are other people's content. You see pot calling kettle black? Lol.

Immediately he was found out yesterday, the IT expert immediately started to redirect lindaikeji.net to my blog. If you click lindaikeji.net now, it will redirect you to this blog. He panicked yesterday and quickly did it. A name he register as far back as 2011. Lol. Choi!

Not only that, he's also a cyber squatter. Yep, he registers 100s of websites belonging to others around the world and tries to make money off them. Guess one of his aims is to run me out of blogger so I come to him and his team and pay thousands of dollars to get one of the several names he's registered. Not going to happen, boo! Hehe

Below is an article from lawyer and blogger Uduak Udouk of Africa Music Law about this guy and his cyber-squatting criminal activities
"According to a twitter handle owned by @MrAyeDee, celebrity blogger Linda Ikeji was accused of copyright infringement of his works. He reported these infringing activities to Google and what resulted was a take down of his articles/works on her site. He also claimed with the rate and way things looked, Linda Ikeji's site could be shut down within a week.
I get the fact that this guy was concerned about Ikeji's activities and got Google to do something about it. What I don't get is his very strong response and continued massive tweets talking about the same issue in an almost vendetta like style towards her. This got me curious to know who he was and what could be a motive behind all of these.
I began by looking at his twitter page and narrowed in on his website www. 15Past8.com. The description of the services he offered through his media group raised my curiosity. He says his media group owns "hundreds of websites." He also claimed some of the infringing content on Linda Ikeji came from his site. Well one of his hundreds of websites is 9jalife.com because it has the 15Past8.com media group stamped on it. I did a basic search on 9jalife.com to see who owns it. The name 'Emmanuel Efremov' came up as the registered owner of 9jalife.com. 9jalife.com is clear it is owned by 15Past8.com media group, @MrAyeDee's company.
For my article on Linda Ikeji, many have been saying they are surprised she does not own her own domain. Purely out of curiosity, I looked up Lindaikeji.com and noted it is owned by someone else, a case of cybersquatting. I also look up Linda Ikeji.net and see the same 'Emmanuel Efremov' come up. Now I am very curious. How is it that Emmanuel Efremov owner of 9jalife.com, a subsidiary of 15Past8.com, also owns LindaIkeji.net? Am I missing something?
Needless to say, I google the name 'Emmanuel Efremov' and lo and behold, there is a case by Volkswagen against an Emmanuel Efremov for cybersquatting. Looking at the description of 15Past8.com, the registered domain owner of 9jalife.com and Lindaikeji.net and the case by Volkswagen against Emmanuel Efremov, I am left feeling that the credibility of @MrAyeDee is shot and very weak at best. It also makes me wonder about any prior existing relationship between him and Linda Ikeji as to the issue of domain ownership i.e. cybersquatting. It is not uncommon for cybersquatters to ask you the legitimate owner of a trademark to pay them to own your own website.
If you accuse someone of copyright infringement, it is a good idea to make sure your hands are very clean and there is no connection whatsoever with a possible bad faith attempt to hijack their domain name. I am curious to see where all of these leads." Uduak Udouk
Now talking about copyright infringement, Mr Aye Dee feels that crediting source is not enough, that I have to write a written permission to the website owner. That's laughable at best. So if there's a breaking news on TMZ, I will first write to the editors and wait for the 2/3 days it will take them to reply me...that's if they even bother to.

I admit that I take content from other sites. Plenty of it sef, but the question is, which website in the world doesn't? If you go on Bossip.com, 50% of what is there is from other sources. Daily Mail UK takes from other sites, re-writes and give credit. UK Mirror takes from other sites. MediaTakeOut quotes other sources. E! Online, Us Weekly, People and even CNN take news from other sources and give credit, so why is mine an offense to the extent that my blog deserves to be shut down? Even in Nigeria, which site doesn't take news from other sites? Which? That is how media runs. Perez Hilton makes $10million a year from blogging and 50% of the content on his site is not originally his. As long as you give credit...which I do! Except in cases where you don't know the original source of the story or photo. So many blogs take content from my site, how many of them have I gone after? In fact, I'm happy that they do so, I have nothing against it. If I take content from another site and they approach me to take it down despite giving credit, I will take it down. But that doesn't happen.

I try as much as possible to get as many exclusives as I can, but because I work from home my team is so small. I've been planning to employ more hands which I will do eventually and then get a proper office. I'm kinda glad this happened. It's now pushing me to act and take my business more seriously.

So Mr Aye Dee, Mr EE, Mr #bringmedown or whoever you are and Jeremy Weate (look who is talking ..lol) and all the others talking, I am not afraid of you! You didn't bring me this far and you're not enough to bring me down. Like if you dream it, speak it, act it, hope it, envision it, see it, pray it....YOU are not enough! You can't bring a good woman down. You can try boo, oh please keep trying...but you see this lady, she ain't going nowhere. You don't even know who you are dealing with. You don't know what drives me and how far I plan to go. I've been a hustler since I was 17, doing it on my own...on my own terms. Plus I have the backing of God...and of course my hundreds of thousands of readers. I repeat, YOU are not enough!

I have been blogging for close to eight years and I plan to be around for many more years to come, so get used it. If you manage to close down LIB, I'll come back bigger and better. So keep trying boo! And enjoy all the attention you will get from this post...you've earned it. Kisses!

Oh by the way Mr EE, one of your friends who you were doing the #bringlindaikejidown campaign with has turned against you and contacted me. He's a LIBer just like you...hehe...but decided it wasn't fair and reached out to me. God bless you Mr Aye Dee. I hope your hustle also pays. All the best.

To others reading this, if you want to be successful in life, please prepare yourselves for something like this. People don't go after failures. You have to be really crazy to gather to plot the downfall of an orange seller or a gate-man (with all due respect). These people go after successes. Once you succeed in any field, they will come after you...it's inevitable. Ask everyone who has succeeded. It's not whether they will try, because they will...it's how you respond to it that matters.

Don't you ever, listen to me, ever let anyone defeat you. You didn't work so hard to get to the top for somebody who didn't know how you struggled to bring you down. You will be disappointing God. You don't even know how disappointed He will be. How dare you let them win? They will come for you...that's a guarantee just make sure you defeat them.

These people are not even haters..they are excuses...they are the natural reaction to success...put in this world to take actions against people who are climbing the ladder of success. If they see you're about to fly, they will try to cut your wings because when you fly, there's no stopping you anymore. And that's what they want to do...to stop you! Don't let them distract you. Stay focused on your dreams and keep flying.

Lastly, You know how negative voices can be so loud that you can't hear the positive ones? In moments like that just quiet the noise and listen again...listen only to the positive ones...because they are all that matters.

May all your dreams come true! May everything you put your hands into succeed. May your enemies show their faces so you know who they are...but may they never win.

Thank you so much to all LIB readers for your loyalty all these years. I keep saying you changed my life and I will always be grateful. Long live LIB.

Thanks guys and have a blessed day.
Now back to blogging!

7yr old narrates how 2 dogs attacked his 4yr old brother for over an hour

Posted: 06 Oct 2014 11:02 PM PDT

7 year old Osemudiamen Abraham, the elder brother of Omonigho Abraham, (pictured above), who was attacked by two dogs on September 25th inside their compound at Adegboyega Street, Akesan Estate, in the Igando area of Lagos, has given account of how his little brother was attacked by the dogs and how onlookers including policemen stood there without trying to help the little boy.

Omonigbo is now battling for his life after the attack which lasted over one hour. Narrating what happened to Punch, Ose said;
"We were riding a bicycle in the compound when the big dogs - Jack and Gadaffi - started barking at us. Later, they moved towards us. My elder brother and I quickly ran upstairs and locked the door while Omo (Omonigho), who could not run fast, was left behind. When he got to the door, he knocked that we should open for him and as we did, one of the dogs forced his way into the house with him. We all ran out. Bobby jumped down from upstairs and I also jumped. But Omo could not jump, so the dog attacked him. The other dog also joined in the attack and there was nothing we could do." he said
A resident of the area who pleaded anonymity, said the dogs were so vicious in their attack that everyone was too afraid to go near them...
"The police came, but said there was nothing they could do. The dogs were growling as they ate the child alive and that sent fear into everyone. Nobody could move inside to challenge the dogs. Everybody was just shouting in confusion and wielding sticks." the resident said. Another resident says the owner of the dogs, one Stanley Wesley who has since been arrested by the police, was warned to stop keeping the dogs in their neighborhood but he turned a deaf ear
"We became alarmed when he brought a third dog recently which was more ferocious and bigger than the others. Whenever he took that dog on a walk, even adults would be scared. People told him to find a place to keep his giant dogs, but he refused to listen. It was the new dog that first followed those children into the house" the resident who pleaded anonymity said
Mrs Odia Abraham, the mother of the boy, said she was at work when the attack, which lasted over an hour and a half happened
"When I got there, I met a crowd. They asked me not to go inside, but I refused to listen to them. One of the dogs emerged from the corridor with blood stains in its mouth. I ran inside. The other dog, on sighting me, pounced, but I fought back. It later ran away. I called on people who joined me to take him to a hospital. This has been a nightmare I want to wake up from. The doctor at Igando said his condition was critical and we should take him to LASUTH. When the incident happened, I was away at work. But when I got home, I saw parts of my son's scalp on the floor. The dogs dragged him through the compound for about one and half hours and nobody moved near them. His face was also affected, but thankfully it did not get to his eyes. His two brothers, who survived, also got injured. The seven-year-old who spoke with you has a fracture, which we are still treating. The other, who is 13 years, has a minor injury. "We marked Omo's fourth year birthday in June. He is a very intelligent boy and he always tells me he wants to be a soldier because he loves to protect people. I am hoping this thing will not affect his brain." she said
The Lagos State Police Command spokesperson, DSP Kenneth Nwosu, confirmed the report but however absolved the police of being negligent in helping to rescue the little boy during the attack
"I can confirm to you that on September 25, at about 5.40pm, dogs belonging to one Stanley Wesley attacked and harmed a four-year-old boy and the matter was reported at the Igando Police Division. The report from the Divisional Police Officer indicated that the dogs were being kept to undergo some tests, while their owner had been arrested. The report that the police did not do anything is not true." he said
