JLo steps out in green crop top & matching trousers after revealing why she left Marc Anthony

Posted: 29 Oct 2014 12:51 PM PDT

JLo wore this bright green crop top and matching trousers teamed with spiky black heels as she stepped out in LA yesterday. I think it's a fierce outfit but many people didn't like it. Would you rock it? Meanwhile, the actress and singer has revealed that she left Marc Anthony in 2011 after 7 years of marriage after suffering a panic attack during a photo-shoot. Read what she wrote after the cut...

Jennifer Lopez detailed her split in her new book titled True Love, which will be out on November 4th. She writes;
'As I sat there getting made up, my heart was beating out of my chest and I felt like I couldn't breathe... I became consumed with anxiety. What was happening to me? I leaped from my chair and said to my dear manager Benny Medina, "Benny, something is happening! I feel like I'm going crazy." My mom was there and she rushed to my side too.
'It was one of those moments when you're so scared you can't even scream. In a blur of fear and panic, I looked at Benny and my mother and blurted out the words: "I don't think I can be with Marc anymore." Then I burst into tears.
'It was out. The thing I feared more than anything in the world. I collapsed into their arms and began to sob.'
'Anybody looking from the outside in would have thought my life was great. I had a husband and two beautiful children. I was on American Idol and my new single On The Floor had gone to number one all over the world.
'What people didn't know was that life really wasn't that good. My relationship was falling apart and I was terrified.'

What do you ladies think of waist trainers? Do they really work?

Posted: 29 Oct 2014 10:35 AM PDT

It looks like the new trendy crase amongst ladies these days in the waist trainer...recently made popular by Mrs West. Ladies are now wearing corsets for hours at a time, some even to bed, to help compress their core, which is supposed to eventually shrink their waist and give them that hourglass figure (like Kim), but is it safe to wear it all the time and does it really work?

Family in dilemma after triplets’ birth, unable to pay hospital bill

Posted: 29 Oct 2014 10:03 AM PDT

Aww, feel bad reading this story. A woman who just gave birth to triplets is being held at the hospital over her family's inability for N150k bill. Sun News reports below...
A couple with five children was recently blessed with a set of triplets. The couple, now with eight kids – five boys and three girls – never envisaged going that far in child bearing. But since circumstance had made it so, Mr. & Mrs. Ifeani Benjamin Amadu, from Ukpo in Dunukofia Local Government Area of Anambra State, have no option but to accept their fate.Mrs. Amadu told our correspondent that three months into her pregnancy, she had gone for scan only to be told that she was carrying three babies in her womb, a revelation that threw her into fright.
Soon after she was delivered of the babies at Ajeromi General Hospital, Ajegunle, Lagos, on Saturday, October 27, 2014, the woman and her husband found themselves in a tight corner. They had no money to offset their hospital bills, which stood at N150, 000.
Mrs. Amadu, while narrating her experiences during and after her pregnancy, pointed out that it was a serious battle. "The pregnancy was not business as usual," she began. "At a point, my whole body became too heavy that I could not do even very common things. I could neither sleep well nor walk freely. Also, bending and bathing were tough for me. In fact, it was as if I was carrying excess load."
She told Daily Sun, however, that all the problems disappeared immediately after she was delivered of the babies. People kept trooping to the hospital to see the bundles of joy. It was discovered that the triplets were the first to be delivered in the hospital this year.
Though she had a safe delivery and her triplets were in sound health, paying her hospital bills and taking care of the triplets have become a daunting task. Following failure of the couple to foot their hospital bill more than two weeks after delivery, the triplets and their mother could not be discharged.
Unfortunately, Mrs. Amadu, a National Certificate of Education (NCE) holder and a teacher in a private school earns a very lean salary. Her income and that of her husband are nowhere enough for them to cater for the delivery. "I could not save enough for this delivery because my salary is poor," she said. "I tried to get a job in a public school as a teacher, but none came my way. So I decided to manage with the one that I have right now. My husband too planned as much as he could for the task ahead, but we never knew that things would work out this way.  Unfortunately, earlier before my delivery, robbers visited us and carted away some money that my husband had planned to invest in a little business. So, that is why we have found ourselves in this tensed situation."
Mrs. Amadu wants financial support from men and women of goodwill who she believes would have a share in the special blessings being brought by the triplets. "At the moment, we cannot pay the hospital bill due to our severe financial constraints. We are therefore calling on men and women of goodwill like Governors Wille Obiano, Rochas Okorocha, Babatunde Raji Fashola, corporate bodies and other groups and individuals to come to our aid so that we can leave the hospital. I am tired of staying here; I want to go home with my babies," she said.
Her husband, Mr. Ifeani Amadu, also expressed his feelings. "We have been married for 14 years, and since that time, my wife has been fruitful. In fact, we had closed child bearing after four children. But the pregnancies continued to come. After having five children, we never planned having another, yet the sixth came. As a child of God, I have been feeling so bad to encourage abortion or family planning. But now, we have been forced to do it."
He believed that the triplets would serve as a point of contact for others. He described the situation, as a serious one and called on Nigerians to come to the rescue of his family. "I have been thinking about how to get out of this situation. My wife and the triplets have spent close to three weeks in the hospital because I have no money to pay their bill. I am appealing to those who are touched by what my family is going through to assist us financially so that we could pay the hospital bill and cater for the babies too.
Any financial assistance should be made to Mr. Ifeani Benjamin Amadu, UBA Account number 2032569487. The family can be reached on 07033284662 and 09035639764.

Land a Customer Service job in Nigeria

Posted: 29 Oct 2014 08:54 AM PDT

If you've got clear communication ability, negotiation and persuasion skills and a positive attitude, working as a Customer Service Representative could be your best career move. With more customer service jobs popping up in the country monthly, landing a customer service role is never a difficult one.

See the latest customer service jobs in Nigeria here http://goo.gl/0zwqoX

Entry level Customer Service representatives in Nigeria earn between N60,000 to N200,000 monthly depending on their specific roles, salary negotiation skills and the company's salary structure.
To become a Customer Service Executive, you do not need to have any special degree. However, there are numerous professional certification programs in customer service that can aid your career immensely.
In addition to your formal qualifications, here are 3 essential qualities you would need to land a good customer service job in Nigeria.

1. Excellent Communication Skills: To land a good customer service job, you must be a very good communicator. The role would always involve interacting with people so you should be good at winning people over when you talk.
Communicating well with a customer means you fully understand what he is trying to pass across and you respond in a way that makes more sense to the customer.
Developing an effective communication skill is never easy but can be achieved by regular practice.
2. Patience: Every customer service officer needs to be patient always. Because you get to talk to different people everyday, you may have to deal with difficult (and even annoying customers). You therefore need to build some level of self-control and patience. What makes you a good customer service officer is how well you treat even the most frustrating callers.
3. Staying Positive: Every customer would want to talk to someone that would always be positive. They want to talk to someone that understands them and cares about them. Because of the nature of their jobs, customer service operators tend to be negative in their comments and this is a wrong call. It can be very challenging to stay positive but it is always the best.

Husband caught on camera handing over cash to hitman he hired to kill his bride

Posted: 29 Oct 2014 08:07 AM PDT

I'm sure most of you are familiar with this case...but let me give you a bit of the background. In 2010, newlywed British national Shrien Dewani and his 28 year old wife Anni Dewani were in South Africa for their honeymoon and while riding in a taxi in Cape Town on Nov. 13th, Anni was shot dead by two men who hijacked the taxi. The men involved in the murder were later caught and they shockingly confessed that the new husband had hired them to attack them in the car and kill his wife.

The wealthy businessman who had since left South Africa back to the UK, was extradited back to South Africa to face murder charges. Of course Shrien denied having a hand in his wife's death but today a footage of him handing money to the hitman he allegedly hired to kill his bride, taxi driver,  Zola Tongo, who is serving 18 years in prison for his role, was played at his murder trial.

The poor woman didn't know her husband was planning to have her murdered. See the photos after the cut..

One video clip shown to the courtroom, Dewani is captured leading Tongo down a hotel corridor to a quiet room, carrying a small bag of money
Taxi driver Zola Tongo, dressed in a white shirt and shorts and a pale cap, follows Dewani down the corridor
Shrien Dewani is suspected to have killed his wife because he is gay and didn't want to be stuck with a wife. One of his gay lovers, Leopold Leisser, already gave testimony in court.

Dear LIB readers: My sister-in-law is a lesbian, Should I tell my brother?

Posted: 29 Oct 2014 05:37 AM PDT

From a female LIB reader
I found out this past weekend that my brother's wife and mother of his two children is a lesbian and I don't know what to do about this information. Does my brother need to know? She had sex with another lesbian at a friend's house in Parkview (she's a reader of this blog so I want her to know that I know) and I don't know what to do with this information. I've suspected for a long time but my suspicion was only confirmed on Saturday. I don't know what will happen if I tell my brother but she can't continue living a double life, going to church every Sunday and giving advice like Mother Teresa when she lives a dirty, disgusting life. Try it again and see!

Lawyer Festus Keyamo petitions SSS, IGP over threat to kill him by Tompolo

Posted: 29 Oct 2014 05:04 AM PDT

Just received this petition which was sent to the IG of Police and SSS from lawyer and rights activist Festus Keyamo about an alleged threat to his life. Read below...
Threat to kill Mr. Festus Keyamo by Mr. Government Ekpemupolo (Alias Tompolo)
My name is Festus Keyamo. I am a Nigerian citizen and a senior member of the legal profession in Nigeria.
At exactly 10:13pm on Tuesday, October 28, 2014, I received a telephone call from one Mr. Government Ekpemupolo (alias Tompolo) with phone number (I removed the number). We have been acquaintances in the past, so I know his numbers. After reaffirming that he is Tompolo when I picked his call, he went straight to the point by informing me that he wishes to inform me that he and his "boys" will kill me by beating me to death or shooting me anywhere they can find me. And that the hunt for me is on. His exact words in pidgin English was "we dey look for you. Anywhere we see you, whether for Lagos or Abuja or Warri, we go beat you die or we go shoot you."
He said he would kill me because I have decided to take up the matter involving his blood brother, Mr. George Ekpemupolo, who was used to illegally substitute another candidate, Mr. Weyinmi Omadeli (48 hours to the election) in the Warri South-West L.G.A elections that were concluded last Saturday in Delta State. He said no one has ever challenged his authority in Delta State. Kindly find attached the open letter I wrote to Governor Uduaghan of Delta State yesterday which has sparked Tompolo's determination to kill me.
I asked TompoloFIVE TIMES whether, he was, in fact, threatening my life over an open line and he said nobody in the country can do anything about it by the time I am dead.
Co-incidentally, exactly three minutes after Tompolo dropped his line, His Excellency, Governor Udaughan called me at exactly 10.16pm, and I reported to him what just transpired between Tompolo and myself. The Governor promised to speak with him, but that cannot be reassuring enough, and I know the remedy in law against an intended murderer is not to beg him but to ignite the criminal justice system against him, no matter how comatose that system is.
I know the subject of this petition, Tompolo, is a favoured citizen of this government, and I am not. I know Tompolois close to those in power at the moment, whereas I am an ordinary citizen. I know Tompolo has money and influence (which are factors that are widely acknowledged to aid a suspect walk away with murder in Nigeria), but I have none of these. I know Tompolo has instrument to kill human beings, and I have none.
In the circumstance, I am making this petition public so that when you refuse to attend to my complaint and outcry, the ordinary people of this country will, at least, know from where my death came and I will not join the long list of unresolved murders. My killer, should, at least be known.
Thank you for, at least, reading my petition.
Yours sincerely,

FESTUS KEYAMO, ESQ.

"A successful woman with no husband will not be respected" Mrs Nike Akande

Posted: 29 Oct 2014 03:56 AM PDT

2-time Minister of Industry and a respected entrepreneur, Mrs Nike Akande said in a recent interview that if a woman is successful and does not have a husband, people don't respect her. Mrs Akande who has been married to her businessman husband for over 40 years now says it is better to get married no matter how successful you are...
"I always tell people that it is better to be married. The younger ones are not patient. Marriage is a journey of give and take. I am not perfect, my husband too is not perfect but we have to bend over to compliment each other. The younger ones are not that patient. It is better to be married. People respect you more when you are married. Unless it is impossible to live with a man because some men are impossible." Continue..
But for little, little differences, you have to tolerate each other. Companionship is nice. I will tell him my experiences and he will advise me. If a woman is successful and she does not have a husband, people would not respect her" she told Encomium
Who agrees with her?

5 Reasons Why You'll Want to Buy the New iPhone From iStore

Posted: 29 Oct 2014 03:33 AM PDT

Sometimes you just can't wait to hold the latest, greatest, must-have gadget in your hand. You want it, and you want it now, and that's all that matters.  The new iPhones are amazing devices, and they have already been hailed by international reviewers as "simply the best smartphones ever".

But when it comes to the new iPhone from Apple, waiting just a little longer for the official release is by far the wiser move.

Did you know that until late April 2014 the iPhone was not officially available in Nigeria?  That's why we all looked for options, like paying a friend or family member to get it abroad, or worse pay massively over the odds when they first come out.  What's worse is that for all that money we did not get warranty.  Now that has all changed, Apple will be launching the new iPhone sooner than we all expect.  Of course, as soon as I hear something from industry sources I will let you know so hold on from rushing out – its worth the wait.

Here are five good reasons why you should wait for the official release:

1) Buying your new iPhone from iStore, Ikeja guarantees you the lowest launch price. You won't need to pay a premium for what is already a premium product.

2) You'll get the peace of mind of a full manufacturer's warranty – a full 1 year

3) Buying your iPhone from iStore, Ikeja entitles you to expert technical support and advice, along with free training workshops.

4) One of their most stunning features is FaceTime, which allows you to make video calls over wifi or cellular networks. Did you know that iPhones that come from Dubai don't have FaceTime?

5) You'll have the confidence of knowing that your brand-new iPhone is the real, genuine deal, direct from Apple.

So go to www.myistore.com.ng/ to register for your new iPhone now. Because the real deal is the best deal you'll get!

You will be glad you waited!

Photos: Ghanaian singer Lady Jay's manager allegedly assaults her

Posted: 29 Oct 2014 01:12 AM PDT

Found this on popular page on instagram. She's a Ghanaian artist who was allegedly attacked by her manager. I went through her instagram, but she made no mention of the incident on her page so it's hard to say what really happened but according to reports from Ghana, the lady also known as Nancy was punched and headbutted by her manager following a disagreement over money. She is being treated at a military hospital while the police is said to be looking for the manager who has since gone into hiding. Violence against women should never be tolerated. See more pics after the cut...

OK, she addressed it on Twitter
