Shocking. Mum who permitted her BF to kill her child freed after telling her story

Posted: 11 Oct 2014 07:23 AM PDT

In October 2012, 23yr old Victoria Phanhtarath and her then boyfriend Freddy Mendez were arrested over the beating death of Victoria's 3 year old daughter, Alexis Hawkins. Freddy was sentenced to life in prison for the murder, Victoria was sentenced to 35 years for failing to protect her child from an abusive man. Describing how Freddy beat Alexis to death, Victoria said;
"Freddy is still spanking Alexis and I go get my son. And I come back and he's sitting there. And he pushed her and he kicked her and threw her across the room, all the way to the window. He picked her up by the throat and slammed her on the floor. He's kicking her and hitting her on the chest. And he said get this little b**ch. Go take care of her."
When asked what she did to stop the vicious attack, Victoria said "I told him to calm down and go outside". Police was called to the home where little Alexis was found unresponsive. She was rushed to the hospital where she later died. Two years after Victoria was convicted for the murder, a judge set her free after she told her own story...

During the case, the Oklahoma City mum entered a plea deal where she pleaded guilty to 'murder by permitting child abuse and also testified against Freddy' But two years later, prosecutors agreed for the case to go to court again. And when Victoria told a judge how she herself had suffered abuse from Freddy and refused to tell anyone because she was embarrassed

Victoria describes her own abuse in the hands of Freddie prior to Alexis death...
"He started grabbing me and starts punching me in my face. He shoves me to the pool. I try to get out, he shoves me back into the pool. He starts hitting me and dragging me around. I'm screaming and crying, he tells me to shut up."
She said it wasn't the first time but she was too embarrassed to tell anyone that she was in an abusive relationship.

After Victoria told her story...everything changed. The judge cried. The jury cried. And then the judge did something no one expected. He modified her sentence, struck off the 35 years and set her free. Victoria had only been in prison for two years.

You think she deserved to be freed after two years? I think she should have serves like five years in prison. You don't bring an abusive man around your children and only tell them to calm down when they grab your child by the throat and slam them on the ground.

If someone hits you and hits your child once, you remove that person from your life. And when they brutally attack like this, you don't just stand there and tell them to calm down. You grab whatever you can to protect your child or remove that child from there ASAP and then call the police. I'm so mad at this mum.

Anyway, get the full story Here

God Loves Nigeria - written by Femi Fani Kayode

Posted: 11 Oct 2014 05:27 AM PDT

Article written by Femi Fani Kayode. Read below...
God loves Nigeria so much. For those that doubt it kindly consider the following. They created ebola in their demonic labs for bio weapons. They sent the disease to our shores through an insane Liberian but the Lord defended us and refused to allow it to take root in our shores.
God loves Nigeria so much. Why? Because, as the bible says, ''He uses the foolish things of this world to confound the wisdom of the wise''. For those that still doubt it kindly consider the following.
They refused to label Boko Haram as a terrorist organisation until all men of goodwill begged them to do so and until the terrorists had slaughtered no less than 25,000 Nigerians, including innocent children whilst abducting thousands more.
They refused to sell us arms to fight the Haramites and when we approached other nations to do so they directed them to say ''no'' and turn us down.
Yet God was with us, we sourced those arms ourselves and ever since then the tied has turned and our gallant soldiers are winning the war against Boko Haram.
Can all this be just coincidence? Do these so-called friends and allies of our nation really wish us well?

I read the response of the American Ambassador to Nigeria about our concerns about the US arms embargo on Nigeria. He spoke nothing but nonsensical popycock and bunkum.
What on earth have we done to them that they seek to bring us to our knees and decimate our country with terror, torment, violent brutality and disease?

Why have they visited us with so much covert hate despite our obnoxious fawning and desperate crawling before their superpower thrones for the last one hundred years?
Have we not played the fool enough for them and have we not bowed low enough to them on bended knee for the last 54 years?

Yet despite all our efforts to please our international partners and modern-day slave masters they seek to effect their prophecy that chaos must envelop Nigeria and that our country must break up by 2015.
They seek to ensure that we are enveloped in a sea of carnage and fratricidal butchery the likes of which have never been seen before on the African continent or indeed in world history.
In the light of all these observations numerous questions must be asked? Who is really behind Boko Haram and how come they have more sophisticated arms than the Nigerian military?
Who supplies them with those arms and all that training? Is it the same forces that covertly trained, armed and supplied ISIS, Al Nusra and Daesh?

Is it the same powers that used those barbaric terrorist organisations in Syria to attempt to topple President Bashar Al Assad and in Iraq to push Nouri Al Malaki out of power?
Is it the same forces that unleashed mayhem and created turmoil in the Ukraine and that sought to plunge Europe and Russia into a bloody war?

Is it the same forces that created Al Qaeda and commissioned Osama Bin Ladin to push the Soviets out of Afghanistan? Is it the same people that seek to use Boko Haram to decimate our country, destroy our people and bring our government to it's knees?
It is very clear to me that NATO will deploy ground troops to Iraq and Syria relatively soon. This was the plan all along. The long-term objective is not just to destroy and defeat ISIL but also to remove Bashar Al Assad from power in Syria.

As a matter of fact the latter has always been the primary objective and America, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Qatar and a handful of others in the Arab Gulf states supported and funded ISIS, Al Nusra, Daesh and a number of other terrorist groups specifically for that purpose for a number of years.
The sheer evil and horror of ISIS has provided a useful pretext and justification for a full scale invasion of Syria and Iraq by the western powers and their sunni Arab allies.
That invasion, which will be clothed in the name of ''liberation'', will come soon. Bashar Al Assad, Syria, Russia, Iran, China and their secularist allies in the region need to brace up and prepare for the worst. This is indeed a rhapsody of reality.

Yet whoever unleashed these forces and whatever their evil intentions for Nigeria are, one thing is clear: despite all our complexities, self-hate, self-doubt, ignorance, naivety, eccentricities and innocent trusting ways, God loves us dearly and we shall not go the way of Iraq, Syria or Libya.
After all this is the land of the Ameyo Adadevoh's and other brave souls. This is the land where the watchers pray through the night and stand in the gap for their beloved nation and their compatriots regardless of faith, tribe or creed.

This is the land where, though we pretend to hate one another and we bicker morning, night and day, we know the meaning of the word patriotism, honor, dedication, resilience, ruggedness and love.
This is the land whose people know how to worship and praise the one true God and who call on His name night and day.

The earthly powers that be and the emissaries of the devil, no matter how powerful, how rich and how connected will never destroy us and neither shall the counsel of satan prevail in our land.
Each time they throw a bomb at us, like ebola, it shall ''return to sender''.
Each time they refuse to sell us arms to enable us to defend our people and redeem our honor the Lord shall raise others who shall do it in their stead.

The bottom line is as follows: you may hate us and seek to shame and humiliate us but God loves Nigeria and His purpose for our nation, whether you like it or not, shall surely come to pass.
God bless Nigeria and may He continue to deliver us from our enemies, preserve our unity, defend our shores and protect our borders.

The watchers prayed "return to sender" and ebola was sent back to Houston through another insane Liberian. Now they seek to learn lessons from the Nigeria that they targeted and sought to destroy about how to "contain ebola".

Wrongful conviction of Ezejie Prosper Ifeanyichukwu, family cry out

Posted: 11 Oct 2014 02:49 AM PDT

Just received this email from a lawyer representing a Nigerian man named Ezejie Prosper Ifeanyi, who is facing death penalty in China for drug possession. His family say he's innocent and want Nigerians to get involved. Below is the mail from the family lawyer and a letter from his wife...
My names are Chike Anthony Ukoh. I am a lawyer in Enugu, Nigeria. I have been contacted by the family of one Ezejie Prosper Ifeanyichukwu, who is currently facing a death penalty in Guangzhou, China. He is married to a Chinese lady and they have two little kids. His wife is attesting strongly to her husband's innocence. Ezejie was arrested at the Gaungzhou Baiyun airport on March 12 2011 on his way back to Nigeria on the suspicion of possession of Heroin. Upon conducting a search, no drugs where found on him, but he was still tried, convicted and sentenced to death for possession of heroin. Continue...

He appealed his conviction, wherein the Guangdong Province Higher People's court unturned his conviction on the based that there was no evidence linking him to the crime, but curiously sent the case back to the same lower court for re-trial. The same lower court has now returned a guilty verdict based on the very same facts and evidence, the Appeal court has rejected as "unclear, and insufficient".

I am very mindful of the fact that there are very limited legal processes a Nigerian lawyer can initiate from here over a domestic judicial proceedings in China, to save a seemingly innocent man trapped in the intricate Chinese legal system. The only options left to be explored are social media campaigns and diplomatic pressure to call for a review of Ezejie wrongful conviction.
I do pray that Mr Ezejie Prosper Ifeanyichukwu plight be considered by your media outlet. I will forward along the judgments, their English translations, pictures and mails from his wife.

On the criminal complaint

Ebola: First Consultant Hospital indicts Liberian Ambassador

Posted: 11 Oct 2014 02:04 AM PDT

First Consultants Medical Centre, the Lagos hospital where the man who brought Ebola to Nigeria, late Liberian Patrick Sawyer died, has indicted the Liberian Ambassador to Nigeria (pictured right) for his involvement in the case, saying he put the hospital under pressure to release Sawyer against the wish of its management, Vanguard reports.

Speaking to newsmen yesterday, the Medical Director of the hospital, Dr. Benjamin Ohiaeri, said:
"The ambassador said if we continued to keep him (Sawyer), it would be tantamount to kidnap and abuse of human right. He said if we did not release him, we would be subjecting our hospital to international diplomatic row and we should not rule out the possibility of law suit."
The hospital lost four staff to the outbreak, two doctors and two nurses
"As if that was not bad enough for us, the Liberian Ambassador to Nigeria started to put pressure on us that Mr Sawyer had his fundamental human right that he wanted to leave the hospital and he should be allowed to leave. In other words, we have a provision within the law that allows the person to sign and leave the hospital. Meanwhile, there is a superior provision within that law which is that you can decline the patient for public good. In order to protect ourselves as an institution, we called in our lawyer who drafted for us a resolution, stating that we were not going to let Sawyer out because it will not be in the public good to let him out."
"Because we did not let him go, Mr. Sawyer unleashed his bio terror on the staff of the hospital. He knew he had the disease, he was angry to the extent that he released his blood to contaminate our people as they came in. We lost four of our key staff who included, Dr. Adadevoh, she worked here for 21 years, Dr. Amos Abaniwo, our Chief consultant Anesthesiology and Director of clinical service, had been with us for 16 years. Dr. Adadevoh died leaving the husband and a son, Dr. Abaniwo died leaving his wife and three kids, the third person that died was a nurse Ejeleonu, she just started working with us that day. Unknown to us she was two months pregnant and she died with the pregnancy. The fourth person that died was nurse Evelyn Uko who had been working with us for the past 31 years. She was a widow, a single parent raising four children, she died living those children with us, multiple tragedy because the four children were kicked out of the home because of the stigma. So watching her is a combination of so much burden on First Consultant

Here's what supposedly caused the riot at Kirikiri Prisons today

Posted: 10 Oct 2014 01:41 PM PDT

There were reports earlier today that inmates of Kirikiri Medium Prisons attempted a jail break leading to the death & injury of many. But according to new reports, it may not have been a jail break

Now this is not confirmed but according to someone who is involved in Prison Outreach and was supposed to be at prison tomorrow, he got a mail from the co-ordinator of the outreach informing them that their visit has been cancelled due to an incident at the prison this afternoon. In the email that was sent out, what happened at the prison was explained. See it after the cut...

Please be advised that the Prison Outreach for tomorrow at Kirikiri Prisons has been cancelled.
Apparently, at the Kirikiri Medium Prison , the inmate GO bought himself a microphone and a fan with his own money today and the Deputy Controller of the prison did not approve of it. The DCP ordered the GO to be locked up in isolation. This infuriated the inmates and demanded the release of the GO.

A mob of inmates started throwing stones at the authorities. Hence, DCP ordered the Prison Mobile Unit to shoot on sight. Shots were fired sporadically into the inmates and scores are dead. I was informed that the K-9 Unit was also dispatched into the inmate population. The GO has been bitten several times and in critical condition.

Please be praying for him and the entire inmate population. Some of the ones who died might not have had any contact with family members since their incarceration.

I will keep you keep you all posted on developments.
Shalom
