Apart from the 5 anti air craft guns and the rifles captured from the terrorists, over 34 motorcycles and 5 vehicles including trucks being used for operations by the terrorists were destroyed in the course of the fighting as troops headed for Baga.

The troops finally began clearing the terrorists from Baga on arrival in the town early Saturday morning. A comprehensive cordon and search phase of military operation has now commenced to enable troops mop up arms and ammunition and also apprehend any terrorist who might be hiding in the vicinity.

The exercise will also determine details of the casualties inflicted or incurred in the course of the operations to clear Baga and environ of terrorists. Similar exercise is being carried out in over 15 locations namely Gajigana, Ngaze, Ngenzai, Marte Junction, Mile 90, Yoyo, Kekeno, Kukawa, Cross Kauwa,, Kangarwa, Amirari, Kichimatari, Borokari Barati, Kauwa and other localities where troops have flushed out the terrorists in the operations preceding the entry to Baga.

The troops are now dominating and conducting aggressive patrols in the locations. The morale of troops remain high.

All the winners were meant to represent Nigeria at the Grand Finale of Commonwealth International Pageant held in London on the 15th of November, 2014 but for the short timing between the Finale in Nigeria and the International Finals in London plus other logistical, sponsorship and financial impediments, all efforts by the organizers of the Pageant to make the representation successful were truncated.

Dear LIB readers: My boyfriend is always turning down my sexual advances.. should I be worried?

Posted: 21 Feb 2015 05:18 AM PST

From a female LIB reader
My boyfriend of six months is a super gentleman who respects women a lot, a trait that endeared him to me but I am getting irritated with his over gentlemanness. I have approached him for us to get down countless number of times but he keeps telling me he wants to respect me and my body and that he has the tendency of loving me less once we have sex. I have understood with him for 3 years now but it's beginning to give me concern. I love this dude I want him to have me, to scatter me, for him to Peter me up and down (his name is peter) but he is refusing. Says I'm his queen. Should I be worried?
You should be! Very very...lol. Men hardly turn down sex. How much more from someone they 'love'. Turn down for what? Hehe. What say you, people?

Charles Inojie, Helen Paul dazzle in Mr Potosky

Posted: 21 Feb 2015 02:19 AM PST

Versatile comedy actor, Charles Inojie, and Helen Paul have dazzled in a new blockbuster movie, Mr Potosky. Produced from the stables of De-Kross Movie Productions, Mr Potosky has been tipped to set a new pace in Nollywood.
The multi-million naira film, directed by Amayo Uzo-Philip, also stars Bishop Imeh and Chike Anyawu among others. It will be officially released on Friday, 27 February
Christopher Ozoemena, the Chief Executive Officer of De-Kross Movie Productions, who produced the movie, assured that Mr Potosky will surpass the sheer success recorded by many of his previous movies.
Ozoemena, who has produced multiple award-winning movies like Total War, Caught in the Act, Beauty and the Beast, The Maidens, The Kingdom and Aki the Blind, said he has shot glamorous and serious stories in the past, but decided to wow movie buffs with something more soothing this time around.
"So, I had to get those who know how to act comedy that has direction and moral lesson because I always want people to learn after watching my films. I got wonderful actors, director and technical crew who did a great job on this movie," he reiterated.
The film is reaching out to families who don't teach their wards good morals. Potosky, played by Charles Inojie, is a cook to a Senator. The Senator has a problem with the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) and he was arrested. Then Potosky, who thought the Senator would never return, went to his village with his master's money, cars, clothes and other valuables.
Potosky started deceiving girls in the village to the extent that parents were forcing their female children to seduce him, and he eventually impregnated many of them. He also duped some of them financially by the time he was broke.
"The message of the film is for people to believe in themselves and be contented with what God has given them. People should not be carried away with material things –don't judge people by the cars they drive or the clothes they wear," Ozoemena, popularly known as De-Kross stated.

"I am 63, and I have slept with 3,000 men" - woman tells her story

Posted: 21 Feb 2015 12:37 AM PST

Until the age of 28, Marie Calvert had only ever had sex with one man, her husband Barry. Then she took up swinging and everything changed. The body count went from 1 to 3,000. In fact, she claims that one night, she slept with 14 men. Marie, now 63, tells her epic story below...
It was the night I slept with 14 men that I first started to try to work out how many partners I've been with. The truth is, I'm not sure. My conservative estimate is about 100 guys a year for more than three decades. I'm 63 now and I've slowed down a little – but only a little. Why do I do it? Having sex isn't something I do for a living, but it is my passion. It's the most enjoyable, exhilarating, satisfying way to spend your time. Some women like yoga, some like badminton. I like carnality.
I am actually married. Barry and I have been together since I was 15 – we wed when I was 19, have two grandchildren, and he's my world. But neither of us puts sex on a pedestal. We see it for what it is: separate from love. It's not natural to stick with one sexual partner for 60 years. Life is about experimenting and experiencing, and that's what we do. Barry goes with other women. I don't get jealous because I know he loves me. Until the age of 28, I'd only been with him and we had a terrific sex life, but one day he brought home a swingers' magazine he'd picked up from a workmate. He sort of joked we should try it; I told him not to be daft, and he never mentioned it again.
But I kept looking at the mag and imagining how fun it might be. Eventually I told him we should give it a go. He looked like a kid at Christmas. The first couple we met – through the listings in that magazine – were university lecturers in their 40s, and I still remember driving to their home that Friday. Barry stopped the car and said, "Are we sure about this?" We were so nervous, but we were also insanely excited. I said we'd try it once and see how it went. And it went… joyously.
As soon as we met them I was flirting with the guy. John was sophisticated and handsome, and over dinner there was this intense chemistry. Afterwards, there were a few minutes when just he and I were in the living room, and I thought it was now or never so I kissed him, and that was that. By the time Barry came in with John's wife, we were otherwise engaged. I remember looking at Barry's face and seeing a big smile come over it; I knew everything would be fine, and that life had changed for ever.
We became committed swingers, spending weekends meeting up with couples or going to parties to swap partners. Suddenly everything was exciting. You'd be at work, and you'd think about what you were up to that evening and it sent a shiver down your spine. Some couples – like John and his wife – would become close friends, even when the sex stopped. Others you'd see only once. The night I slept with 14 men was at a swingers' party in Manchester. I remember driving there feeling almost uncontrollably lustful. The next day I felt achy, in that lovely way, like when you've been to the gym.
In 1997, we decided to open a swingers' club in Sheffield. We were fed up with work and wanted to do something we were passionate about. It's still thriving today. We never have sex during opening hours – it's our business and we're professional about it. But, of course, when the place shuts, we've got an entire club full of facilities – and an ever-growing circle of open-minded couples – to play with. It's not all been perfect, of course. Not every lover is attentive. I remember in my 40s going with an 18-year-old, just to see what it would be like. Quick was the answer.
We're safety-conscious and I've never felt in any danger. Barry is normally in the same room or not far away. I've recently had a knee operation, which means I'm walking with a stick, so I'm taking it easy. I had only three lovers last year. I still have the same sex drive but I'm more relaxed now. I'm not someone who's ever going to dress like a woman half her age just to get attention. But if guys still find me attractive – well, why not? People ask if we have any regrets and we do – we wish we'd found that mag five or six years earlier.
