Mother-daughter spent over $86k on matching plastic surgery to look like their idol, Katie Price

Posted: 27 Aug 2015 12:26 PM PDT

A mother, Georgina Clarke, 38,  and her daughter Kayla Morris, 20,  addicted to going under the knife have forked out more than $86,000 to look like their idol, British model Katie Price. Both wanted bigger boobs, bums and lips and say splashing cash on transforming themselves into their icon brought them closer together.
Georgina, a mother-of-four, who claims to be 'addicted' to Botox, confirmed she was happy for her daughter to strip to fund the surgeries and was also supportive when she picked up a 50-something sugar daddy at 18.

Kayla, who had a 'sugar daddy' at the age of 18 to help fund her original round of surgery, won't stop until her bust has ballooned even more - even though her enhanced cup size already gives her back pain.
Kayla says she became obsessed with Katie's alter-ego Jordan 13 years ago and she started copying her look, reading about her life and watching her TV show.

Georgina said: "I was so pleased. I admitted I wanted one too and we started planning for when she turned 18. I don't mind that Kayla had a sugar daddy and and she insisted we use the money to get plastic surgery together."
Despite their uncomfortable appearance, Georgina confirmed that her lips did not cause her any pain and said: 'Obviously the lip liner and gloss makes them look a lot bigger.'
Kayla splashed out £5,000 for her first boob job, boosting her assets from a 32E to a 32G, and the pair regularly have lip fillers, Botox sessions, dye their hair bright blonde and plaster themselves with make-up to look more glamorous.

Georgina has also brushed off criticism from local women near her home in Rugby, Warwickshire, who don't approve of the way she's bringing her daughter up and how much surgery they've had.

"I got a letter form local women saying everyone laughs at me because I dress like a tramp and have duck lips. But I love the way I look now."

Georgina, mother of 4 with Kayla and her other son before their surgeries

Appearing on ITV's This Morning with her mother Georgina Clarke, 38, Kayla left presenter Ruth Langsford visibly shocked when she declared: 'I just want big boobs. I want to go to JJ-cup.'
When Langsford asked the young woman's mother why she encouraged her daughter, despite the risks of surgery and her daughter's worsening back pain, Georgina replied: 'She's just so determined.'
Kayla added: 'There's no point her saying, "Don't do it". I'll just end up doing it more.'
But Georgina admitted she understands her daughter's desire for surgery because she too wants to further enhance her body. 'I just don't want to get old,' she explained.
In a moment of blunt honesty, Eamonn Holmes told the duo that their inflated lips looked scary and painful.

'I don't mean to be rude, but people are quite frightened by both of your lips today,' he said.
The pair expressed amazement at his statement, but Eamonn continued: 'People think they almost look painful.'
'When we walk down down the street, everyone looks at us and comments on our huge lips but they're not big enough for us.
'Plastic surgery is a way of bonding for us as mum and daughter. We want to have bigger boobs, bigger bums and look even more like Barbies.'
Their devotion to plastic surgery might be a big part of their lives now, but, says mother-of-four Ms Clarke, that hasn't always been the case.
'I had four kids to look after so I was just focused on being a normal mum,' says Ms Clarke, whose other children are Amber, 19, Keisha, 13, and Romeo, six.
'I didn't care about my looks and I didn't wear make-up. I had mousy brown hair, which I just put up into a pony tail. I was quite shy and I felt like I wasn't anything special.
'Being a mother came first and I didn't bother with my appearance. I fell into a rut where my looks were the least of my priorities.'

Woman stabs fiance to death over demand for sex

Posted: 27 Aug 2015 12:07 PM PDT

A 24-year-old woman Blessing Edet has been arrested for allegedly stabbing her fiancé, Edet Ebong, 33, to death with a kitchen knife over his demands for sex. Blessing, who resides at Ogombo village in the Lekki area of Lagos state, had been dating Ebong for the past 18 months and they were on the verge of finalising their marital plans.

Recounting what happened, the suspect said that on August 18, Ebong, who worked for Akwa Ibom State Transport Company (AKTC), had come in drunk and asked for Indomie noodles, which she prepared for him. After eating, he asked about the engagement ring he had given to her. She then told him it was on the table.
She said:
"We lay down to sleep and he started making advances on me for sex. I told him I had a hectic day and was tired. He flared up and started beating me.
"He broke the standing mirror in the room and injured me above my left eye with the broken glass. In defence, I ran to pick up the kitchen knife I had used while preparing 'Indomie' noodles for him. I mistakenly stabbed him in the stomach."
"After stabbing him, the fight continued. He went under the bed, brought out a cutlass and said he was going to kill me. It was at this point that my younger brother who had been trying to stop us, but to no avail, rushed out to call neighbours.
"My landlord heard the shout and rushed into our room. He saw Edet bleeding while I was holding a knife. He alerted the police and Edet was rushed to the hospital. Unfortunately he died two days after."
Blessing, who claimed to be an orphan, explained that she had asked him to move in with her six months back when he had trouble with his accommodation. The love birds had been engaged for the past 18 months and were at the verge of finalising their marriage plans when the tragedy occurred.
"Edet was my fiancé. We have been in a relationship for about 18 months now. However, six months ago, he had trouble with his accommodation; so I told him to move in with me since we were already engaged.
"We have never had a misunderstanding before. But on that fateful day, I had just returned from the day's business and was resting when he came in. Edet came in drunk. He requested I prepare 'Indomie' noodles for him, which I did. "After eating, he asked me of the engagement ring he had given to me. I told him it was on the table.
This was before he started beating me. Sincerely, I stabbed unintentionally, even while he was in the hospital, I prayed he would survive. I don't know what came over him that day. We had good plans for the future. He was not just a lover but also a brother."
Blessing said that she started living alone four years ago, after her aunt told her that her presence in her home was making her husband uncomfortable. The woman assisted Blessing and her kid brother to secure a room apartment. It was this home that Ebong later came to join her.

When contacted, the state Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), DSP Patricia Amadin, said she was still trying to access the full details of the incident at press time. But a resident, who spoke on condition of anonymity, said:
"It was around 12am and 1am when they started fighting. They were disturbing the peace of the entire village. I heard the argument. It was about noddle which Blessing's boyfriend, Obong, asked her to prepare. She prepared it without adding 'Sardine' which he had requested.
"The argument led to a fight. Blessing later stabbed Obong. She shouted 'I will stab you with knife'. And that was what she did. She ripped open the man's stomach."
 Another resident said:
"The two friends are from Akwa Ibom State. But Blessing, who is a prostitute, rented a room in this village. Then, she started bearing Amaka. She has no other work than to be sleeping with men and clubbing."

The resident added that a few months ago, the two lovers had a quarrel which made Blessing to throw out Obong's belongings from her room. According to her, it was when Blessing could not cope again that she mended fence with Edet.

12 year old girl hangs herself after losing mother to cancer

Posted: 27 Aug 2015 11:17 AM PDT

A 12-year-old schoolgirl whose mother died of breast cancer killed herself after posting self-harm pictures on Instagram, an inquest has heard.
Isabel Ann Richardson, from Norwich, was struggling with feelings she was 'worthless' and 'empty' after losing her mother Karina to the disease in 2010.
But despite speaking to a school nurse at Hewett School, she was overcome by her sadness and on May 12, discovered hanging in her bedroom by her father.

Earlier that evening, Isabel's father Stephen Richardson was called by her brother about distressing images she had posted online.
Entering her bedroom to check on her, he found her hanging and she was rushed to hospital. She died six days later.
The inquest at Norfolk Coroner's Court heard Isabel had told her father about the self harming five weeks prior to her death.

After he was informed, the two began speaking to a school nurse and were referred to bereavement service Nelson's Journey. Isabel was also due to speak to a youth service counsellor the day after she was found dead.
The inquest heard Mr Richardson said his daughter told him she had stopped hurting herself and he thought she was a lot happier since the meetings.
However, he added: 'I was aware of her self harm, but I never thought for a second she would do anything like take her own life.
'I will always think I could have done more.'
Coroner Jacqueline Lake recorded a narrative verdict - saying it wasn't clear if Isabel had intended to take her life.
She said: 'Although she hanged herself, this could have been a cry for help.'

Man beheads his girlfriend's brother over N700k (very graphic photo)

Posted: 27 Aug 2015 09:49 AM PDT

The Akwa Ibom police command have arrested 35 years old Steven Anowa pictured above for butchering and beheading 31-year-old Daniel Bassey Solomon, the brother of his girlfriend at his one-room apartment in Itu Street, Uyo, the state capital.

According to Vanguard, Steven had just moved from Uruan in Akwa Ibom to Itu street where he met the deceased's sister and began an affair with her two years ago. The deceased who wanted to start a barber's shop business, approached Steven who gave him a loan of N700,000 with a promise that he will pay within a time frame. (read the rest of the story after the cut but please be warned, there's a very gory/graphic photo there)

Trouble started after Steven demanded for his money back. He claims that Daniel refused to pay him back and instead shouted at him. After weeks of quarreling, an angry Steven decided that the best way to deal with the defaulting Solomon was to kill him. Confessing to the crime, Steven said he invited Solomon to his house where he offered him a drink which he had already drugged. After Solomon had fallen asleep under the influence of the drug, Steven proceeded to behead him.
"At about 3a.m, I decided to kill him. I gave him the first cut and the guy got up. I gave him a second one and then he died and I butchered him to parts. When I invited him to my house that day, he started shouting and getting angry with me, so I killed him. I am not dealing on body parts, I only cut him to pieces to be able to carry him." he said
Steven brought out a rope and tied the neck of the deceased to a bed in his one-room apartment and then stabbed him on the chest with a knife sharpened and kept for the purpose. According to him, the deceased died without much resistance. He said he used the machete to cut off the head and dismembered each of the body parts of his friend. He is currently in police custody. My goodness!!

Economic diversification very high on our agenda - Buhari

Posted: 27 Aug 2015 08:58 AM PDT

Press statement from the presidency
President Muhammadu Buhari said Thursday in Abuja that Nigeria, under his leadership, will work more closely with other countries facing the challenge of falling oil prices to rapidly move away from dependence on crude oil exports for economic survival.
Speaking at an audience with the new Ambassador of Saudi Arabia to Nigeria, Mr. Fahad Abdullah Sefyan, President Buhari affirmed his administration's commitment to faster development of Nigeria's non-oil sectors and the speedy diversification of the country's economy.

''For more than 30 years, Nigeria has depended on oil as its major source of revenue at the expense of agriculture and the non-oil sector which could be the mainstay of our economy.
"As oil exporting countries facing similar challenges due to the down turn in the international price of crude oil, we should be working closer together.

"Saudi Arabia has done excellently in manufacturing, building of infrastructure and exploration of solid minerals and I believe that greater bilateral cooperation between us in this regard will be mutually beneficial," the President told the new Ambassador of Saudi Arabia.

President Buhari said that in keeping with his commitment to the accelerated development of Nigeria's non-oil sector, the Federal Government will ensure that all pending agreements on trade and economic relations with other countries are speedily concluded and signed.

President Buhari, who also received the new Ambassador of Turkey, Mr. Hakan Cakil and the new Ambassador of Sudan, Mr. Ibrahim Bushra Mohammed, commended Saudi Arabia, Turkey and Sudan for their cooperation with Nigeria in the war against terrorism.

The President restated his conviction that the war against terrorism in Nigeria and other countries can only be won with greater and more effective international collaboration.

All the new ambassadors assured President Buhari that they will work very hard to boost trade and economic relations between Nigeria and their respective countries.

'Unicorn woman' set to have 'horn' removed from head (photos)

Posted: 27 Aug 2015 07:41 AM PDT

Doctors in China are set to remove a 'unicorn horn' from the head of an 87 year old woman named Liang Xiuzhen in Guiyan village in Ziyang City, in south-west China's Sichuan Province. The elderly woman, known locally as the 'unicorn woman' because of the 13cm-long horn on top of her head which began to grow about 2 years ago. Doctors are astounded by the abnormal growth.

According to Wang Chaojun, Xiuzhen's son, the growth started about 8 years ago
"My mother complained about this mole-like growth on her head that itched all the time. We found ways to cure her itch using traditional Chinese medicine, and then left it be."
But two years ago, the mole turned to a growth...which rapidly grew into this horn in about 6 months.
"Now the horn hurts my mother and prevents her from sleeping. It also bleeds from time to time." the son said.
Doctors in China say it's "cornu cutaneum" (cutaneous horn), a keratinous skin tumour that has the appearance of a horn. Often small and benign, the growth can in some cases be much larger and malignant. The doctors say they can remove the growth through surgery but her family have reservations because of the woman's age
"My mother is old, and the horn is on her head which is a very sensitive area. I'm not confident in the idea of surgery. If something goes wrong during surgery, it would be terrible." the son said. He also said they are considering other option.

PDP must reform lest it dies - Doyin Okupe

Posted: 27 Aug 2015 06:55 AM PDT

In an article published on his Facebook wall this afternoon, former presidential spokesperson to former president Jonathan, Doyin Okupe called on PDP to quickly carry out necessary reforms within the party lest it dies. Full text of his article after the cut....

"It was a great news to hear the formation of a body to drive the mobilisation of members of the pdp under the distinguished leadership of High Chief Dokpesi.

I personally felt good that at last some people were thinking of the future of the party. However I sincerely do not think mobilization is the immediate thing the Pdp needs now. The party has suffered very serious bashing if not bastardization from the sustained avalanche of assaults from the gigantic propaganda machinery of the now ruling party the APC. The credibility of the party as a veritable political alternative to the APC has been nearly irreparably damaged.

Some of the recent disclosures and more that may come up from the impending probes will further damage the national acceptability of the party. At the end of the day the APC may not meet up the expectations of Nigerians or may in fact fail out rightly over time but the pdp as it is presently constituted will not be an acceptable alternative to majority of Nigerians now or in future. The APC and the PDP has become two sides of the same coin.  No clear philosophy. No ideology or central motivating theme. No clear policy objectives. No true leadership. No defining party character or style. Only contestants, aspirants and office seekers
No party discipline, pedigree or ethics.

The truth is that some people put together a strong coalition to wrestle power from the military. That coalition gave birth to pdp which held the power for 16years until some other people put up another coalition for the sole purpose of wrestling power from pdp. This they successfully did in march 2015. The time has come for the pdp, if it must remain politically relevant, to total overhaul and REFORM itself, engage Nigerians in a new coalition for the sole purpose of putting our dear country on the true path to the true, real and the enduring change that will once and for all establish us as a major global player. Not pretenders that we presently are.  The PDP must reform lest it dies, God forbids, a painful and insidious death.

Woman insists there's nothing wrong in missing an 'ex' & publicly tweeting it

Posted: 27 Aug 2015 06:58 AM PDT

Lol. So, I'm trending on Twitter because I carried these tweets from a lady who told an ex publicly on Twitter that she misses him. It wasn't a DM, she publicly tweeted at him. People asked her to take the tweets down before it gets on LIB...lol. A lot of people CCed me and I thought well, if she's refusing to take the tweets down, then it means she really doesn't care if blogs carry them. She's still insisting that she doesn't see anything wrong with missing an ex and letting him know. James Ndu, who she tweeted at says she's married but maybe he's mistaken and she's not really married? Anyway, she said she will reveal more and I'm on standby...lol (Just doing my job...*wink*)
