| Knorr Taste Quest Episode 7- Victor Bows to the Heat! Posted: 01 Mar 2014 12:51 PM PST   It's another episode of your weekly culinary adrenaline rush, Knorr Taste Quest 2, Hot Just Got Hotter!! This week, the contestants were reminded that the competition is anybody's game with the eviction of self-proclaimed adrenaline junkie, Victor Akpojovwo. The task of the day was tagged Healthy eating- cooking for a vegetarian, and the 11 contestants were asked to prepare a three course meal in Fifty minutes. Fourteen Ingredients were provided, out of which, six was to be used in all three courses. The six must use ingredients were; Karela (Bitter Melon), Mushrooms, Oatmeal, Lentils, Pawpaw and Cheddar Cheese. Other ingredients included, Okra, Zucchini, Radish, Knorr, Carrots, Green pepper, Cocoyam and Baby cucumbers. Continue...    As the contestants scampered about the kitchen to get their dishes done on time, the judges debated about the contestant's familiarity with most of the ingredients and they were positive that most of them would be able to pull it off. During the presentation of dishes, Chef Renée liked Popoola's mushroom soup but he was reprimanded for not using all the 'must use' ingredients as instructed, Olabode also got mixed reviews as his dish didn't turn out well because it was hurriedly made. On the other hand, a surprise performance came from the unassuming Dixon, as the judges had nothing but praises for her dishes, especially the dessert making her task winner of the day. She was rewarded with the sum of Twenty Thousand Naira for her performance, along with Wando and Ojo who came second and third, and got Ten Thousand Naira, and Five Thousand Naira respectively. The heat was however the hottest for the Calabar recruit, Victor, whose dish according to Dr Roberts "was a hot mess"!! This was also a far cry from his usual performance, leaving the judges very disappointed. He subsequently was told to submit his knives, and was evicted from the show. Five down, eight more to go!! | Chris Brown diagnosed with mental illness Posted: 01 Mar 2014 12:18 PM PST  He appeared in court yesterday for a probation hearing and a letter from his rehab facility gave the singer high marks for improvement but suggested he remain in treatment. The letter, obtained by E! News, reads in part, "Mr. Brown will also require close supervision by his treating physician in order to ensure his bipolar mental health condition remains stable. It is not uncommon for patients with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and Bipolar II to use substances to self-medicate their biomedical mood swings and trauma triggers." "Mr. Brown became aggressive and acted out physically due to his untreated mental health disorder, severe sleep deprivation, inappropriate self-medicating and untreated PTSD."Chris was ordered to remain in treatment for two more months. His next hearing his set for April 23. |

Video shot in Lagos and directed by S.Akin's a young and upcoming filmmaker. Enjoy then continue to read more about BeeCee... Obiajulu Olabisi Ugboh known as BeeCee was born on the 27th of March in Ado-Ekiti, Ekiti state. She was raised by her father in Asaba, Delta State where she attended Oneh primary school and Asaba Girls Grammar School for her secondary education. She then proceeded to Delta State University where she studied Political Science. She also obtained an International Diploma in Montessori from The Center of Educational Research At age five, she recorded her first song in the studio with her father just for fun. The singing career didn't actually kick off at that age; she kept writing songs and singing in the choir. She was an active member of the music club while in the secondary school. Her interest and flare for music made her do a few shows even in the university. She decided to take music as a career just after her second baby in February 2011. She did her first recording in Instincts studios in August 2011 with the song Amara Gi, her Latest Video was Shot in Lagos by Upcoming Video Director S.Akin's. |

| Kidnappers demand N500m ransom to free Pres. Jonathan's uncle Posted: 28 Feb 2014 01:54 PM PST   A security source said that the abductors threatened to kill him if the family fails to produce the money. The source also said the family had constituted a committee to evaluate the demand, establish negotiations with the abductors and facilitate his release. He said the kidnappers had also warned against the involvement of security operatives in the matter. "The kidnappers contacted the family four days after and demanded a whopping sum of N500m. It is believed that the family of the victim has begun negotiations with the hoodlums," he said. Tension and panic set in when the kidnappers failed to establish any contact with the family of their victim three days after he was abducted. That development was said to have rattled the Presidency, which reportedly ordered a massive deployment of security in Otuoke, the hometown of the Jonathans, and the Niger Delta creeks.
