Arsenal 0-1 Chelsea: Photos and match analysis

Posted: 24 Jan 2016 01:34 PM PST

Chelsea through it's talisman Diego Costa derailed Arsenal's title ambitions with a first half goal that really shook Arsenal's defence and made Chelsea grab an unlikely win at the home of their London rivals.

It all started on a wrong footing for Arsenal after Chelsea's Diego Costa was tackled by Per Mertesacker resulting in a red card for the German international.

Arsenal started without their main player Alexis Sanchez who wasn't fit enough to start and after Mertesacker's dismissal, Giroud had to compensate for a tactical shift, but make no mistake, Alexis Sanchez was thoroughly missed by the Arsenal squad. While Eden Hazrd didn't start the game for Chelsea but came in later in the second half.

It was the seventh time in the Premier League that an Arsenal player had been sent off against Chelsea, not including Gabriel's red at Stamford Bridge earlier in the season, later rescinded.
Gabriel, brought in to replace Giroud was barely on the field for a minute, when Diego Costa got across him to whip in a header into the net from an Ivanovic cross.

Arsenal had more possession after the red card and should be commended but Chelsea were the team who created more chances before the break and should have been another goal up after Willian found Diego Costa with a cross but Petr Cech as he has done often this season saved Arsenal at the near post with an instinctive save.

Before the half time interval Matthieu Flamini missed a goal scoring opportunity after a nice cross from Aaron Ramsey, but the former AC Milan player volleyed the ball in another attempt that can be nominated for 'miss of the season'.

Nigeria's John Obi Mikel was a maestro in the heart of midfield just like he has always been since Guus Hiddink took over from Jose Mourinho and one can only wonder why former Coach Jose Mourinho sparingly used him.

In the second half Arsenal introduced key man Alexis Sanchez and had opportunities to secure a point but they fluffed their lines.

Chelsea with Loic Remy on ,also could have gone two or three goals up ,but at the end would be satisfied with the three points gotten.

With Arsenal's loss, Leicester City's gap at the top of the table widened as they have 47 points while Man City (2nd) and Arsenal (3rd) both have 44 points.

I met an actress called Blessing Eremi (now Mrs Blessing Stevens) who introduced me to the Late Jeniffa Okere and Emeka Osai. They were about to produce a movie at that time tittled 'Thorns of Rose'. I was given a role and that's how the trip started.

• Every character is challenging. I have had to play characters, portray people who i'm not. Roles of a prostitute, mermaid, robber, etc.

LIB: What is the hardest part of being a celeb?
• The hardest part of being a celebrity is that part where people think you are a rich person and once they meet you, even on the street, you have to solve all their financial issues instantly. LIB: Tell us something about you that most people don't know.
• I am a movie junky! I would rather be home watching a movie than attending an event.
LIB: If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be?
• I have nothing about myself i desire to change for now.

Photos: Aforevo 2015: Red and White Themed Christmas Party..

Posted: 24 Jan 2016 07:21 AM PST

While it was the end of the year for everyone else around the world, it was the beginning of a new day, a new dawn for staff members of Murphy Ben Int'l on Saturday, the 19th of December 2015, as lots of lives were positively affected during its Annual End Of The Year Party and Awards Night held at Solab Suites, Ikeja Lagos.

Murphy Ben International is a company with various chains of businesses including online malls, web-based services, e-Learning, movie production. AFOREVO (wwwAfrorevoMovies.com), website with a humongous database of multilingual African movies; Aforevo Music TV, a satellite music television station; Aforevo Records, a record label for signing and managing artistes; Aforevo TV, another satellite station hosting various content; www.DealMayor.com, the number one online retail shop in Nigeria respected for its specialization in fairly-used goods and www.KinkiiMall.com, an online superstore that sells 'strictly authentic goods' are all under the big umbrella of Murphy Ben Int'l. It also has interests in www.iproff.com, an e-learning platform and www.Voliveafrica.com, a web development company with presence in 27 countries worldwide.

It would remain a memorable Christmas party for both the host (Staff) and the hosted (guests). The event began in grandeur with some of Nollywood's finest stars like IfeanyiKalu (who  was the official compere of the event), Thelma O'Khaz, Fredrick Leonard, James Gardiner, gracing the red carpet. Colour code for the evening was white, black and red.

Following the ushering in, the event commenced in full gear with humor monger, Da Preacher tickling the audience with his rib-cracking jokes. Nyelu was present to swing and sway the crowd with his waves-making hit, 'showcase'. Pryse (Chocolate City First Lady) with her blend of feminity and hiphop held the audience spell-bound. The jaws of all present dropped at the acrobatic skills of the dynamic trio of the young David Crusaders.  Another side attraction was the AFOREVO choir, made up of members of staff. They rendered a christmas carol and mimed YemiAlade and Selebobo's 'Nagode', and they did a great job - coming from workers. Amidst the music, mingling and movements was wining and dining comprosing exotic drinks, intercontinental and local dishes.

The best was truly reserved for the last which was the presentation of special awards to well-deserving members of staff. Five earmarked workers identified as Abubakar Yusuf, ChiamakaMgbemena, SeyiAdebola, Isioma Chelsea Batiwe and Yahaya Abraham were presented with surprise prizes of a car each.

Cheers met tears as their names were announced as some couldn't contain their bewilderment. Coworkers chanted and cheered uproaringly affirming that the awards were well deserved. What a way to end a year after work. At Murphy Ben Int'l, they work hard but play harder.
