Just got this mail from an NGO that deals with domestic violence cases. According to their story, the woman above is the wife of a strong Ogun-state APC chieftain named Bashorun Bayo Awosanya. He reportedly attacked her at their residence in Sagamu on Easter Sunday April 20th around 8.30pm after an argument. The lady was saved by their gateman who heard her cries for help from his station.

She's currently receiving treatment at a hospital in Sagamu. Her people figured it won't hurt for people to see what the man did, so they sent the pics to the press. This madness has got to stop! You have to be the lowest of the lowest scum to hit a woman so bad she lands in the hospital. Continue to see more photos...

Meet captured Fulani herdsmen who confessed to being Boko Haram members

These are the faces of some of the people causing terror in Nigeria. These 17 men you see above are Fulani Herdsmen who were recently captured by the military. They were part of the group that terrorized residents in Benue, Nasarawa, Taraba and Zamfara recently. They also took part in the recent killing of hundreds of people and burning of houses in Wukari, Taraba state. After their capture, they confessed to being members of the Boko Haram sect.

The military released the pic above and a statement signed by the Director of Defence Information, Major General Chris Olukolade. Find it below...
"A group of terrorists operating under the guise of herdsmen from a camp in the outskirt of Wukari have been arrested, while others died after an attack on military check point at Gindin Dorowa, a suburb of Wukari in Taraba State". Continue...

Other members of the group were sighted in the course of air surveillance and later trailed to their camp where they engaged the troops in a battle.
The terrorists were clad in the usual pattern of dress of their counterparts operating in Borno and Yobe States"."One of the apprehended armed men confessed that he had been fighting for the terrorist group in Borno State and was recently brought to Wukari area in furtherance of their mission"."Assorted arms and ammunition were recovered from them.
Meanwhile, the curfew imposed on Wukari and its environs is expected to be relaxed as normalcy returns to the town. Troops have maintained patrol of the area while a house-to-house search for arms is ongoing"."In another development, troops on patrol of the Lake Chad Islands have made some arrests"."Among those arrested was a boat operator who ferries terrorists across the Lake Chad while another confessed to being a supplier of hard drugs to the terrorist groups in the area.
In the meantime, the search for the abducted students of Government Girls' Secondary School, Chibok is also being intensified".

Vybz Kartel caught on video committing murder; video leaks online

On April 3rd Jamaican dance-hall star Vybz Kartel was sentenced to life imprisonment for killing a former associate, Clive 'Lizard' Williams. He just filed an appeal against his sentence but it's unlikely he will make any headway with that because his murder video just leaked online.

When he was arrested back in 2011, the center piece of the murder case was a video tape made at the crime scene (Vybz' own home) implicating Vybz and his co-defendants. Well, someone just leaked that video footage...and it's chilling! They chopped the guy into pieces...that's why a body has never been found. This guy is ruthless, OMG! Continue...

An anonymous source sent Urban Islandz several video footage, some of which allegedly played in court during the high profile murder trial.
In the video you can see several men in a house that sources say is Kartel's house by Havendale where the murder took place on August 16, 2011.
One of then men was seen with a pick axe, while another man has what appears to be blood stain on his shirt.
The language in the video is very chilling.
"Yow hear weh mi a say.. mi want yo hold him with a knife and stab him in a him neck and slow him down…," one man said in the video.
"Hold down and make mi cut him throat," another man said in the video.
"You affi swing it hard and no mek it ketch mi," one man told the man with the pick axe.
There is also another video and a photo of a headless man rumored to be the body of Clive "Lizard" Williams. But these are too gruesome to be published.

Singer Harrysong known now as Mr Songs, revealed recently that his father and mother are siblings.

In an interview with Yes! magazine, he said he's an only child because his parents split after finding out they were related by blood.
"My father and mother are actually brother and sister. They gave birth to me before they could realize that. It was a big abomination, so they had to separate. Even, they attempted to kill my father in that village but he fled, because in Warri where I come from , it is a taboo. They termed it incest."

Meet the world's first married lesbian threesome...

Lol, wetin person no go hear? Lesbian threesome couple, Doll, Kitten & Brynn, from Massachusetts, who were joined together in a marriage-style ceremony in August 2013, are expecting their first child, UK Daily Mail reports.
The world's only 'married' lesbian threesome are expecting a daughter in July. Kitten, 27, (pictured left) is pregnant after undergoing IVF treatment using an anonymous sperm donor, and the trio eventually plan to have three children - one for each of them.

The plan at the moment is that Kitten will bear all the children - possibly using her wives' eggs and donated sperm - but they are open to other options, such as adoption.

Brynn, 34, says: 'The hope is to have three kids altogether. We always joke that the children should never outnumber the parents.'
Doll, Kitten and Brynn Young married in a ceremony in August 2013, when each of their fathers walked them down the aisle. All three women wore white wedding gowns and exchanged rings.

The so-called 'throuple' worked with a specialist family lawyer who drew up the paperwork and drafted the ceremony so that all three of them were obligated and bound to each other.

While Brynn and Kitten are legally married, Doll is handfasted to both so the threesome are as equally married to each other as legally possible.

Doll, 30, says: 'As far as we know, there aren't any other three women who are married like us.'
It was back in 2009 that Brynn first met Doll through an online dating site. Senior Software Designer and Engineer, Brynn had been married twice before to women and both experiences had made her acknowledge that monogamous relationships weren't for her.

Meanwhile Fashion Designer, Doll had known that she was polygamous since high school. She explains: 'I had always dated girls - who although they had boyfriends or girlfriends - were also allowed to date me. 

'I never thought that much about it and I had never really 'come out' as poly to my friends and family. To me, it was just how I was.'

Brynn and Doll dated for eight months before moving in together. Two years later, they purchased a house together. 

Having both enjoyed polygamous relationships before, Doll and Brynn looked for a third woman to join them. After a few failed liaisons, Doll and Brynn created an OKCupid couple's profile. Eventually, they received a message from Kitten. 

Before meeting Doll and Brynn, Kitten had been in two long-term relationships with men. Her first relationship lasted ten years and she had been engaged to her second boyfriend.

Fashion Manager, Kitten says: 'My second boyfriend and I had been together for several years but a few months before our wedding, he called the whole thing off without explanation. At first, I was distraught but now, I'm grateful for what he did. 

'The whole break-up forced me to really think about who I was and I realised that I had not been honest to myself. On reflection, I realised that I hadn't been happy in my previous monogamous relationships and I discovered that I was poly.

'I set up an OKCupid profile for myself and began dating an awesome woman with the happy consent of her husband. They were a lovely couple but we ended the relationship after I had to move away. 
'Soon after that amicable break-up, I came across Doll's and Kitten's OKCupid profile and saw they were looking for a third member to join their 'Super Hero Group'.'

Doll, Brynn and Kitten went for dinner at a Chinese Restaurant for their first date and immediately liked each other. 
Doll says: 'There was an instant attraction with Kitten but I think we all really bonded when we baked cookies together on our fourth date. I didn't know what love was until the three of us clicked like that.'

Brynn adds: 'With Doll and Kitten, things finally made sense. It was as if the puzzle was finally complete with all three pieces.'
Within a few months, Kitten moved in with Doll and Brynn. Two years later, they decided to get married after Kitten proposed the idea to them.

Kitten says: 'I had always wanted to get married and I guess Doll and Brynn indulged my wishes! I had a very traditional upbringing and marriage had always been an important symbol of commitment for me. We wanted to celebrate our love in a wedding like everyone else.'

The threesome insist their relationship is like that of any normal couple: having breakfast with one another, watching TV after work and sharing a bed together

Doll says: 'The only difference is that communication is a lot more difficult for us than others. There are three people so our relationship takes detailed scheduling - everything we do goes on the calendar!

'Whilst communication is tricky, household chores are a lot easier with three people! You can slack off on your errands and another person can pick them up.'
Brynn adds: 'Each of us has our own allocated chores and roles - I like to think of us a romantic committee. In our relationship, I'm the traditional breadwinner. I work a forty hour week and make the majority of the family's income. 

'Doll does the cooking and Kitten does the cleaning. Sometimes, Kitten also helps me with my hair and make-up before I go to work.'
The threesome spent several date nights planning their dream wedding - making decorations and shopping for matching traditional, white gowns.
Brynn says: 'Planning our wedding was hectic. It took a lot more organizing because there were three brides involved. 

Kitten, Brynn and Doll had to work with the legalities of the state to get married to each other. As being married to more than one person is not currently legal, they had to combine handfasting, legally binding documents and legal marriage.
A family lawyer drew up paperwork - in terms of assets, wills and legal rights to children - to bind them all together as much as they could without an actual three way marriage.

Met my girlfriend five years ago as we both came into university together. We started dating and in our third year she got pregnant which we had to quietly removed because we both were not prepared. Now we are both done with NYSC and in search of better paying jobs. The thing is she developed a sickness over the last one year which has been financially demanding. Her parents have sold all they can to keep her healthy and with the explanations from the doctors, her healing is far from now. I do believe in miracles but am worried if I can cope with the financial burden of her health when we get married as I am just about to start life myself.
Am thinking if it would be a wise decision to stay and marry her or do away with her.

Aftermath of Nyanya blast: Military checkpoint causes traffic gridlock

In the wake of the Nyanya bomb blast which occurred on Monday April 14th, which killed over 80 people, military checkpoints have been mounted at various strategic road junctions to check human and vehicular activities in the FCT.
 
Motorists/workers say these checkpoints have become a big problem for them as they lose many useful hours in traffic with some of them getting late to work and receiving queries.
 
According to a report on Channels TV, residents in Abuja say their fear is in the manner in which the military men carry out their search operations. They say the traffic opens them to a possible attack from Boko Haram men who can take advantage of the gridlock and strike again. They pleaded with the military to seek more effective ways to carry out their search...

Singing duo MamuZEE TwiNs were attacked by armed robbers on Gwagwalada road, in Abuja yesterday April 22nd while returning from the immigration office. The gunmen, believed to be armed robbers, shot at them and shattered their car.

Actor Cuba Gooding's wife files for divorce after 20 years of marriage

Oscar-winning actor Cuba Gooding Jr's wife of 20 years has filed for separation citing irreconcilable differences.

TMZ reports that Sara Kapfer, Cuba's high school sweetheart, filed yesterday April 22nd in L.A. County Superior Court. The two married in 1994 and have three children together.

Sara wants joint legal and physical custody of their kids and isn't asking for child support currently.

Gunmen kill 50 in fresh attack in Taraba

Unknown gunmen yesterday struck residents of Gidan Aku community on the outskirts Wukari Local Government Area of Taraba State killing no fewer than 50 people with many seriously injured.

According to reports, the men who stormed the area with sophisticated weapons allegedly came in from Nassarawa state and attacked the residents while they were sleeping. They set the whole place on fire forcing residents to flee into nearby bushes for safety.

An eyewitness and also a lawyer in the community, Luka Agbu said no security officer came to their rescue during the attack
"The attackers were very hostile to us and did not spare even children or the aged. The attackers shot at people and burnt houses at the same time without any intervention by the security forces. We are helpless here and we plead with the Federal Government to deploy special troops to rescue us from this unfortunate and deadly attacks. Our people are being killed by gunmen, we are losing property on a daily basis. What kind of a country is this?" Agbu said
Meanwhile the state Governor, Umar Garba while interacting with journalist yesterday in his office in Taraba State said he has ordered 50 more policemen to the troubled zone to help the residents.

"We have deployed 50 soldiers from Yola to add to the troops on the ground who were deployed from Serti and Takum and with a reasonable number of policemen on the ground, we hope the situation would improve" he said

He also ordered the reopening of the General Hospital in the Local Government which was before now shut down due to the Dusk to Dawn curfew imposed in the area. He also announced that the 24hr curfew has been relaxed and would start by 12noon- 6pm

D'banj visited Nyanya blast victims today April 22nd, where he reportedly donated several gift items to the victims and settled some hospital bills.

According to the News Agency of Nigeria, NAN, the entertainer visited the victims at the Asokoro District Hospital, Abuja in company of the FCT Health Secretary, Dr Ademola Onakomaiya.

During his visit, D'banj said the government alone cannot do all that is required for peace to reign in the country.
"I am a Nigerian and I am affected by any tragedy that befalls us and particularly in the spirit of Easter, I came to show the victims support. I have seen that the survivors are responding positively to treatment and thanked the medical team here for the efforts.
"We are appealing to the perpetrators of these acts to have a rethink and support the peace initiative so that our people would not be subjected to such wickedness," he said.
