| Yes! magazine replies Harrysong, insists he did say his parents are siblings Posted: 27 Apr 2014 05:45 AM PDT  Yes! Magazine quoted singer Harrysong as saying his parents are siblings in an interview with them a while back. Harrysong released a statement some days ago denying he ever made the comment. The magazine editors have now released their own statement insisting that he did say it.
So, we wish to inform Harrysong and people like him that a print medium or any organization for that matter that deals in news has a right to stagger any interview. What is giving him sleepless nights is the content of the interview which very few people will be proud of. But he did not speak under duress. So, we are wondering what prompted this sudden outburst and antagonism. More so, when he applauded the interview at the time it was first used on the cover of our magazine. For the records, it is important to state that this controversial interview resurfaced because our website crashed and in rebuilding it, we are uploading our lost materials. In addition, we wish to inform Harrysong that the original tape is still intact and if he wishes to listen to his voice one more time, he is free to drop by at our Budland, Ikeja, Lagos office. | 'Don't bring black people to my games' Clippers owner caught making shocking racist rant Posted: 27 Apr 2014 05:07 AM PDT  From TMZ L.A. Clippers owner Donald Sterling told his girlfriend he does not want her bringing black people to his games ... including Magic Johnson ... and it's all on tape. TMZ Sports has obtained audio of Sterling making the racist declaration during a heated argument on April 9th with V. Stiviano ... after she posted a photo on Instagram posing with Magic. Sterling rails on Stiviano -- who ironically is black and Mexican -- for putting herself out in public with a black person (she has since taken the pic down). But it doesn't end there. You have to listen to the audio to fully grasp the magnitude of Sterling's racist worldview.Sterling tells his grilfriend "It bothers me a lot that you want to broadcast that you're associating with black people. Do you have to?" (3:30) -- "You can sleep with [black people]. You can bring them in, you can do whatever you want. The little I ask you is not to promote it on that ... and not to bring them to my games." (5:15)-- "I'm just saying, in your lousy f******* Instagrams, you don't have to have yourself with, walking with black people." (7:45)-- "...Don't put him [Magic] on an Instagram for the world to have to see so they have to call me. And don't bring him to my games." (9:13)Sterling has a documented history of allegedly racist behavior -- he's been sued twice by the federal government for allegedly refusing to rent apartments to Blacks and Latinos. He was also sued by former Clippers exec Elgin Baylor for racial discrimination -- though a jury was ultimately not convinced and shot down Baylor's case. Sterling has been separated from his wife Shelly for years. She remains a key player in running the team and sources tell us she's "mortified" by Sterling's comments.We have made several calls to Sterling and his people ... so far, no word back. | South Korean PM resigns over ferry disaster that claimed 300 lives Posted: 27 Apr 2014 02:35 AM PDT   PM Hong-won made the announcement at an emergency news conference that held in the country's capital, Seoul, early this morning, days after his government was fiercely criticized about how it responded to the disaster. The PM took responsibility for the slow response of the rescue operation.. "I offer my apology for having been unable to prevent this accident from happening and unable to properly respond to it afterwards. I believed I, as the prime minister, certainly had to take responsibility and resign." the PM said.The captain and all crew members of the ship rescued themselves leaving 300 school children, teachers and other passengers to their fate. They have all since been arrested and facing charges ranging from criminal negligence to abandoning passengers. The confirmed death toll as of today is 187, while the rest are still missing and presumed dead. |
| UK, US join search for abducted schoolgirls in Borno state Posted: 27 Apr 2014 02:07 AM PDT  According to a report by Punch, the UK and US government have joined the search for the 234 abducted schoolgirls from the Government Girls Secondary School, Chibok, by Boko Haram men. On Friday April 25th, the British Foreign Secretary, William Hague, said the UK had begun talks with Nigeria over the incident. (Some mothers of the abducted school girls pictured above)
Punch is also reporting that on Friday, the Nigerian Government also enlisted the intelligence services of the United States in the search for the abducted girls.

The 21-year old student discussed work-life balance and also parental support. Continue... Cuppy will represent Nigeria at the Financial Times Luxury Summit 2014 held in Mexico City next month. The young entrepreneur will be promoting the country at this event as well as entertain global diplomats and international representatives with her turn-table skills.
