Preparation meets opportunity as Sujimoto gives Olajumoke & family luxury apartment (photos)

Posted: 12 Feb 2016 01:30 PM PST

Olajumoke's fortunes just got better as Sujimoto Construction Limited, Nigeria's foremost Luxury Real Estate Developer offered her a luxury accommodation and Scholarship to a Finishing School, Poise Academy Nigeria – where she will be properly equipped with the tools to survive as professional model anywhere in the world.

Olajumoke was not lucky, rather she was prepared and when the opportunity came, she seized it. Her story resonates with us at Sujimoto because it is a reminder of the numerous opportunities lurking around us and only those who dare to seize the moment and take a step will ultimately find true success.

According to CEO Sujimoto Construction, Sijibomi Ogundele,
"Olajumoke's grass to grace story is my story. It is the story of my mother who also came to Lagos from Ijebu in search of a better life. Young people should learn from Olajumoke's experience that hard work is the bedrock of all success and success only happens when preparation meets opportunity. There are no sustainable shortcuts. Without hard work, luck won't last."
Lagos is a land of opportunity with a population of over 21 million people. About 72% of these people are non-indigenes who have left their native land to Lagos, in search of greener pastures because of the opportunities in Lagos. 60% of the Nigerian populations are between the ages of 25 – 40 years old, with about 60% of them unemployed, while another 80% are unable to afford a day meal. The question is how many more Olajumokes are out there, who will leave their comfort zone and find opportunities without trying to blame the economy for their fate? Hard work and tenacity will always win "it" for you. Opportunities are all around us every day but very few like Jumoke seize them.

The US president was a guest on Ellen's show yesterday, which aired in the US today, where he revealed he would be spending Valentine apart from his wife, Michelle Obama. Ellen then made him recite a love poem he'd written specially for the US first Lady. See that after the cut...

"Somebody call the Situation Room because things are about to get hot," said the president, as he stood in front of a red curtain and amid bouquets of red roses and white lilies as Barry White-style music played in the background.
"Michelle, this Valentine's Day I'm going to treat you right. I'm going to make you some zucchini bread. Then I'll spread out some veggies on a plate just the way you like them," he said.
"Then I'll give you a massage while you watch Ellen's Design Challenge on HGTV. Because I love you so much, I Obamacare about you more than you even know."
Turning serious, Obama said: "Michelle, I've made a lot of great decisions as president. The best decision I ever made was choosing you. Thanks for putting up with me. I love you."

Obi Emelonye sends loving message to wife as they celebrate 11th wedding anniversary

Posted: 12 Feb 2016 11:50 AM PST

Prolific Nollywood movie producer, Obi Emelonye and his wife are celebrating their 11th wedding anniversary today February 12th. Obi shared these photos on his Facebook wall and wrote loving words to his wife...

"12th of Feb...a day marked in the stars.
Exactly 15 years ago (to the day), I saw you on a balcony and called you my wife before we could even say hello.
Exactly 13 years ago (to the day), my people visited your people in Mmaku, broke kola nut, shared palm wine and sealed our cultural communion.
Exactly 11 years ago (to the day) in front of family and friends in London,I said 'I do'.
I have been 'doing' since then and after over a decade and three impossibly perfect children, I will eagerly and excitedly continue to 'do' until I draw my last breath.
Thank you Amaka for seeing the good in me, and providing me the foundation from which to take on the world. Thank you for sticking by me through thick and thin and devoting your life to me. Thank you for the happiness, the laughter and for making me a complete man.
Alongside my birthday, my children's birthdays and eventually my 'death day', you have made the 12th of February a day never to be forgotten...in this life and the life to come.
Happy multiple anniversaries baby. I am not sure I deserve you...but because I have you, life is worth living.

TF? Father let's his kids play with huge 19ft pet python (photos)

Posted: 12 Feb 2016 08:30 AM PST

Eric LeBlanc, 43, loves reptiles so much he lives with hundreds of snakes and lizards. A fire at his reptile store killed some of his animals so he moved the rest into his home where they frolic with his kids. Despite the danger the animals could pose he has no problem allowing his three children Erica, three, Larry, four, and Katie, seven, to handle them.

"The worst bite my daughter got was from a bearded dragon," said Eric.
"My son got bit in the forehead one time by a ball python when he was around two-years-old.
"He opened one of the tubs after me and basically startled it – the python jumped up and bit him on the nose."

His store is undergoing repairs and while the reptiles live the family, he is trying to raise his children to have no fear of them.

He said: "They make great pets. They don't have fleas and are low maintenance so you don't have to take them to a vet regularly like a dog or a cat.

"I have Shelby a seven-year-old albino lavender reticulated python – these are some of the biggest snakes in the world.
"Obviously the bigger the snake the bigger the teeth, so it's dangerous – but Shelby is very placid. She is over 19ft long and believe me I know what she is capable of.
"When you hold her you can feel her moving you – she is like one big muscle.
"When she is playing with the kids she really pulls them.
"They can really feel the strength of her – you've got to have total respect for these animals and that's what I have."

He doesn't seem to be putting his children in danger however as he insists they are safe and won't leave them without supervision. He said: "In this country everybody has an opinion.
"Some people think it's safe for kids to shoot guns.
"I won't let my kids shoot guns but I'm comfortable with them being around reptiles – I guess we're all pretty individual in how we bring our children up."
"My kids have been bitten by pythons and dragons but they're always fine," added Eric.
"Growing up I was bitten by snakes, dogs and lizards but my biggest accident was when I fell from a tree – anything can happen – kids will be kids."

He says the children now know so much about snakes they can tell different kinds snakes apart and know to leave them alone or approach them.
Eric also owned a 7ft 2ins crocodile monitor lizard called Jellybean, which was allowed to play with his children – unfortunately he died in the fire.

Heartbreaking: Kenyan photographer shares touching images of his pregnant wife's final moments on earth

Posted: 12 Feb 2016 08:19 AM PST

This will leave you in tears. A renowned Kenyan photographer, Joe Makeni shared heartbreaking moments in images leading up to his pregnant wife's death on Instagram.

Makeni said he shared the images so as to encourage people out there. According to him, his wife was unable to walk on January 20th and was taken to the hospital at Kijabe where she was admitted before she was later transferred to Nairobi.

Medical tests revealed that Njeri had hypocalcaemia, a health condition resulting from low serum calcium levels in the blood. Below are the photos with captions:

Photo 1-January 20 at 4:4pm: "On this day @Njeriitho was unable to walk and so we went to the hospital to get it checked out. Actually she couldnt control any of her limbs"

Photo 2-January 27 5:55pm: "After 3 days in Kijabe we came back to a hospital in Narobi. She was sick but she was always so full of joy. Many of us always went home more encouraged by her."

Photo 3: Njeri in hospital just a day after the evaluation. We were so broken having lost the baby just two days prior but as always she was hiding behind a smile. PS: I did the make-up with instruction from @saitonne and @ngamau. Thank you so much Wangeci and Saitone for going out of your way."

Photo 4: "Making gang signs all the way...hypocalcemia for what?"

Photo 5: "Doctors and nurses makes a spirited attempt to save Njeri's life. There was no shortage of talent. I dont think I ve ever seen so much doctors attend to one person. This is the part where you pray before the procedure started."

Photo 5: February 10: "I stared at this monitor for like 30 mins hoping to see the blood pressure shoot up. It was at 49/20 for the longest time. That's the end of that story. Now to pick up the pieces and soldier on. Good bye Njeri. You 'll always be in my heart."

Who stole the vibe in my bedroom?

Posted: 12 Feb 2016 07:30 AM PST

This is a sponsored post. Read below...
Ole! Ole!! Ole!!! That should just have been my sincere rant, lol. When I sit to think of how unhappy my scintillating bedroom game with my darling husband has been snatched (and nose-dived) I just feel so down. Even if Kolade would not say anything, and he seemed satisfied, but I personally do not feel fulfilled. So many ingredients make up a fantastic marriage: Money, love, affection, attention, then the Mr. 40% which is sex
A good one I mean oh! But I think my Mr. 40% has been taken on a low with many things going wrong with me. C'mon! If i face vagina slacking, infections, bad (vagina) odour and vagina dryness, it means some natural reggae has started entering my bedroom-blues and even though that's a daily sing-along-song these days.

A DJ would not try such a blunder. But alas this blunder has been happening to me. I have always been an advocate of women adding constant Maggi to the sauce of their marriage because; you of course cannot predict who the next toothpick leg girl whining your husband would be. It is totally true that when a woman gives birth, things like her vagina might not be as tight as it used to be.

Age and more could also bring on some slack, and that could sum up to your bedroom vibe been snatched. But all that issue of vagina tightening, cleansing and more got settled when I flew to Lagos for a conference and ran into an old time friend of mine from my university days at the airport, we were very close.

Toke told me about the "Eve's intimate secret" (from Our Intimate Secret Ltd) and how it transformed her bedroom menu, she said she use to have my same worry, she read about it, got interested and placed an order ever since then her husband wonders if she ever goes slack. And ever since then the "eve intimate secret" has cleared all my worries of vagina discharge, loosening and more.

I reached out to Our Intimate Secrets via phone and whatsapp on 08121133010,
