Ali-Modu Sheriff to oversee PDP affairs for the next three months

The leadership of PDP has approved a three months tenure for the newly appointed Chairman of the party, Ali Modu Sheriff. The Nation reports that the decision was taken by an enlarged meeting of the PDP Governors' Forum, the party's Board of Trustees (BoT), the National Assembly Caucus, the party's National Working Committee (NWC) and state caucuses, which held at the Ondo state governors lodge in Abuja today February 23rd.

Speaking to newsmen after the meeting, the Ondo State Governor, Olusegun Mimiko, said Sheriff was asked to lead the party for the next three months in which he will make preperations for the party's National Convention where new leaders of its National Working Committee will be elected.

Ekiti ‎state governor, Ayo Fayose, has declared his support for the newly-appointed National Chairman of PDP, Ali Modu Sheriff. Speaking with newsmen in Ekiti state today February 23rd, Fayose said those who are against Ali Modu's appointment are politically incompetent as they couldn't win 10% of their states during the last general elections;

"As a governor, he can't give me money. I'm not looking for a favour, I don't need him to do what I have to do in my state. But most of the people clamouring, particularly in the north today, I want to say that none of them won 10 percent in their state? What are they bringing to the table to continue with this argument? As who? What is their relevance at home? But as a leader, I still have to appeal to them. They should please allow the dust to settle and channel this energy against Ali Modu Sheriff chairmanship into rebuilding the party."he said

Nigerian writer, Chimamamanda Ngozi Adichie is among the special speakers at the ongoing conference and photojournalism exhihit on women's empowerment as the future of Africa at the Museum of the Quai Branly in Paris.


The event hosted by Le Monde Afrique in partnership with the World Bankon strives to raise public awareness on gender inequality and draw attention to successful initiatives that have been proven to work to close gender gaps.

The event includes a photo journalism exhibit by award-winning photographer Stephan Gladieu, interviews, debates, short films and a musical performance – all focusing on the ever important topic of the role of women in the development of Africa.

Last week, Sage The Gemini took to social media to beg singer Jordin Spark to give him another chance. Well, he may not be as in love with her as he wanted us to believe. His ex-GF Currium (left) took to social media to expose him. She released some audio conversations she had with him earlier this month, where he said extremely disrespectful things about Jordin Sparks. He called her 'dump', 'stupid', and said their relationship was fake. Listen to the audio after the cut..



The ex claims she and Sage, real name Dominic Wynn Woods, were working on rebuilding their relationship last year when Sage started seeing Jordin. She claims through out the time he was with Jordin, he was always begging her to give them another chance.

She claims this conversation occurred while Sage and Jordin were still together.
"Those are pictures. [In our relationship] everything was f*cking horrible. That b*tch was f*cking dumb. She got on my nerves. I wanted to stab her. Don't get me wrong, she's cool, I mean she's level headed. But she's not no regular person. You know. . . .

According to reports actress Megan Fox who announced her divorce from actor Brian Austin Green last year after over 10 years together has found love again. She's reportedly now dating actor and comedian Damon Wayans Jr, 33. Below is how OK magazine reported it...



Sources say Megan Fox is smitten with Damon Wayans Jr. after filming her five-episode stint on New Girl. "They had an immediate connection," reveals an on-set source, who notes that while Damon, 33, is no longer on the show, he often stops by after shooting Brooklyn Nine-Nine nearby. "He started bringing her breakfast in the morning, and they would hang out in her trailer.
