| Posted: 20 Feb 2016 12:42 PM PST  The 72 year old man and 60 year old woman who have been living together for more than 45 years without bride price and marriage were joined in Holy Matrimony today, Saturday, February 20 at Omega Power Ministries, Port Harcourt.  The church announced the good news on their Facebook page, adding that they bankrolled the weddings of other 140 couples who have been living together for many years without legal marriage. They provided money for the bride price, wedding gown for brides, suit, shirt and even ties for the grooms absolutely free of charge.  "Why did I decide to do this ?" the Pastor asked. "Every day I get sleepless night because of the amount of people living together when God has not joined them. IT IS A SIN BEFORE GOD. Do you know that; one out of every five people you see in the street are living together without being legally married," he said. "If Rapture happens now , they will all miss Rapture. So what is the solution ? Solution Number one: Couples must Live apart until you get money to WED. Which is very risky. Any of those women can be my sister or maybe she already has 5 children. The woman will suffer. And a strange woman may take advantage to come in. Solution number two: Legalise their union. But many don't have money to legalize it. They already have children, but no money to pay bride price. So that is why I decided to intervene, so when Rapture happens they shall not be found wanting.  "What is a church building when the people inside the building have visa to go to Hell-fire. Salvation is better than beautiful church building.This is why I conducted marriage blessing for 140 couples @ OPM headquarters. By the grace of God, I gave them money to pay bride price which they have traveled and come back after paying. I bought wedding suits and gowns including shirts and tie for 140 couples. Paid for marriage certificate and paid for food, drinks that will be used for their reception. Now I can sleep well knowing that extra 140 souls have been added to the kingdom of God."  | ||||||

| 2016 Budget was not padded- Lai Mohammed Posted: 20 Feb 2016 12:25 PM PST  "The total for every ministry has remained exactly the same as what was submitted to the national assembly. A lot has been said about the budget. Let make clear that nobody can ever accuse this government of padding any budget. The total of all ministries put together has not exceeded N6.08 trillion that was submitted. It is factually incorrect to say that the budget was padded. This is the first time in the history of this country that a government will embark what is called zero based budget. Before now, the budget system was what was called an enveloped system. In an envelope system, there is no justification as to why we need N30 billion for a structure. This year, we decide that every ministry must have a zero based budget. In other word, you must justify and explain why you need N100 billion. This is very good system, the soft ware for it was also very different. The personnel were not used to it. Now, in the process we got to national assembly. What the ministers do is to have a broad overview of the budget. The template used by the budget office is uniform for all ministers."he said | ||||||

The Oregon-based company said it was investigating the bizarre discovery and as a precautionary measure, it has suspended shipments of beans from the same batch. "Foreign matter is not something we take lightly," Western Family's chief financial officer Peter Craven said. The judge ordered 50 Cent to explain the photos that show the him playing with huge sums of cash, saying the photos raise doubts about his actual need for bankruptcy. The photos were presented in court by Lastonia Leviston's lawyer. Lastonia won $7 million compensation after 50cent shared her sextape online but she's not been able to collect that money because 50 Cent says he is broke  'I'm concerned about allegations of nondisclosure and a lack of transparency in the case,' Judge Nevins said on Thursday at a hearing in Hartford, Connecticut, according to a report by Mail Online 'There's a purpose of having a bankruptcy process be transparent, and part of that purpose is to inspire confidence in the process.' | Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni wins fifth term Posted: 20 Feb 2016 06:54 AM PST  5th Term/over 30 years in Office? They should just crown him King. Lol Uganda's election commission has declared incumbent President Yoweri Museveni, who has been in office since his rebel group seized power in 1986, the winner of the country's 2016 elections. He won with 60.7% of the votes while his closest competitor, opposition leader Kizza Besigye, had 35.3%, the commission said. The country had a voter turnout of 63%. More interestingly, opposition leader Besigye was arrested and two people died at his opposition campaign office. Dictatorial moves? He was put under "preventative arrest" at his home in Kampala on Friday, along with six officials from his party. Authorities detained the officials because they allegedly planned to announce unauthorized results tallied by the opposition. This is not also not Besigye's first attempt to unseat his former boss. He lost presidential bids in 2001, 2006 and 2011. |
