Kim & Kanye to wed in Italy, Jay Z & Beyonce have agreed to attend Posted: 16 May 2014 01:10 PM PDT ![]() ![]() RadarOnline.com has exclusively learned that not only are Beyonce and Jay Z attending - but the "Empire State of Mind" rapper will be standing up as West's best man. After receiving the official RSVP from Beyonce and Jay, West was shocked to receive a surprise gift. Continue... "The best news came when Jay sent a gift to Kanye with an inscription referring to Jay Z as the rapper's 'Best Man.' The gift was a gold-plated, diamond-encrusted flask, delivered with a $10,000 bottle of scotch, for Kanye to have for his wedding day," an insider told Radar. "Kanye was almost jumping up and down, he was so excited. He was running around Kris' house to find Kim saying, 'Baby, look! Look! Jay and B are coming!' Kanye has been begging Jay to reconsider his decision not to come to the wedding, an even more devastating decision that left Kanye groomsman-less when he declined being his best man during the televised nuptials." "Both Jay and Beyonce are refusing to participate in any filming, so E! will get to air some wedding photos, but none with them in it," the insider told Radar. |
Adamawa villagers today killed 70 Boko Haram men searching for food Posted: 16 May 2014 09:55 AM PDT According to a report by Sahara Reporters, no fewer than 70 members of Boko Haram were killed today May 16th by members of a vigilante group in the Madagali town of Adamawa state and captured seven alive who they handed over to the police. The vigilantes reportedly acted after they were tipped off by a local food vendor that the militants were coming to get food before heading out for a major operation to raid villages in the area, usually carried out at night. With this information, the vigilantes mobilized, laid ambush and patiently waited for the men of the sect. The men, numbering about 100, showed up later at night to pick up their meal and that was when the vigilantes attacked them, killing most and arresting the ones that survived the assault. Continue... Today's attack is reportedly the second time this week that local vigilantes have defeated Boko Haram men. A security source told SaharaReporters that resident in many remote areas in the North seem to have decided that the best way to repel incessant attacks by Boko Haram insurgents was to take matters into their own hands.A vigilante member involved in today's ambush told a Sahara Reporters correspondent that Nigerian soldiers appear unable or unwilling to wage an effective war against the insurgents. "They (soldiers) seem to be helpless and to fear the Boko Haram warriors who terrorize us here. But we are not afraid. They are men like us. And we are tired of folding up our hands and allowing them to kill us, to kill our wives and to kill our children."Source: Sahara Reporters |

Speaking with reporters in Abidjan yesterday, the 3-time African footballer of the year called Mourinho a fool for questioning his age "I am 33 years old. And it is not because a fool called me an old man that you must believe it. And you may have noticed that the old man was better than the youngsters.' |

Another version of why Solange attacked Jay Z emerges Posted: 16 May 2014 07:54 AM PDT ![]() ![]() From E Online "At the gala, Rachel was being flirtatious with Jay," a source exclusively tells E! News. "Once everyone was at the Boom Boom Room for the after-party, her flirtations were elevated." "Beyoncé approached Rachel to let her know the behavior was disrespectful and she wanted her out of their lives for good," the source goes on. "Solange came over to have her sister's back, and things got heated with her and Rachel. Jay said some disrespectful things to Beyoncé and Solange as the confrontation was going down. That's why all hell broke loose in the elevator and why Beyoncé just stood back and let Solange hit Jay."This version sounds more plausible. Continue... Interestingly enough the day after the fight, Beyonce posted a pic of herself on Instagram wearing a T-shirt emblazoned with the face of the late singer Aaliyah. The significance? Damon Dash left Rachel Roy for Aaliyah, whom he still calls the love of his life, and reportedly only went back to Rachel and married her after Aaliyah's death in 2001. |

Dear LIB readers: help me make sense of my existence Posted: 16 May 2014 04:35 AM PDT From a female LIB reader Linda I'm 40years old today and I'm the saddest person alive. So I'm writing this letter today to God through your blog hoping somebody somewhere can help me make sense of my life..
Dear God, you no try! If I were you, I would have blessed me since. I never disobeyed my parents while they were alive. I read my bible daily, I was a virgin till I was 31 for Christ sake. Haba! People told me, leave ikotun and move to the island. There are husbands there. I moved, nothing. They told me, change your church, I changed. Still nothing. Lose ur virginity, men dont like mature virgins, I lost it. What strategy have I not tried. My mates that aren't married have money, and if they don't have money they have kids. Why have you chosen to humiliate me like this? Was I wrong to give up my virginity at 31? Is that why you are not fair to me, if that's the reason, all my friends and siblings stopped being virgins in their early 20s and they are all married with children. So that can't be. Or maybe my reward isn't here on earth. Oya take me, let me rest. I'm asthmatic, I'm lonely, I'm poor and not happy. This is too much. Too much Linda, libers somebody, anybody, please explain to me what I have done wrong. How does God work? Because I can't seem to make sense of my existence here on earth. |

Negotiate with Boko Haram - Gov Shettima tells President Jonathan Posted: 16 May 2014 02:46 AM PDT The Governor of Borno state, Kashim Shettima has asked President Jonathan to negotiate with Boko Haram men if that is what it will take to release the abducted Chibok girls. Governor Shettima made this remark during an interview with CNN's Christiane Amanpour last night. "The issue of not negotiation with the terrorists – it's out of the question. If it means talking to the devil, it means the devil can come down, we can get back our girls. The group that kidnapped the girls are a bunch of raving lunatics. "Do we have any other option? If I have to talk to the devil to secure the release of the girls, I will do so. President Jonathan did not act on time and did not talk to me over the kidnappings until 19 days after.''He also said for the first three weeks after the girls were abducted, the whole thing was politicized. Also speaking, a woman leader of the All Progressive Party Sharon Ikeazor said the situation could have been salvaged on time if the President had acted immediately. She said the girls had their cellphones with them and had contacted their parents about their abduction. |

Ibori must face trial for corruption in Nigeria, Appeal Court rules Posted: 15 May 2014 03:14 PM PDT A Court of Appeal sitting in Benin city the Edo state capital today May 15th ruled that former Delta state Governor James Ibori has a case to answer concerning allegations of financial impropriety and money laundering leveled against him by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission. The Judgement was unanimously given by a 3-man panel made up of Justice Ibrhahim Saulawa, Justices P. M Ekpe and H. A Barka. This means the ex-governor, who is currently serving jail term in the UK for money laundry, would face another trial when he returns to Nigeria after completing his jail term over there.
