Kevin Hart's girlfriend fires shot at his ex-wife for calling her out

Posted: 24 May 2014 06:40 AM PDT

Eniko Parrish (pictured left) Kevin Hart's current girlfriend has fired shots at his ex-wife Torrei Hart (pictured right) after Torrei tearfully accused her of breaking up her marriage by dating Kevin while they were still married. (Read here). Kevin immediately responded to his ex-wife's accusation, saying it wasn't true, that he only started his affair with the model after their marriage ended.

Well, Eniko has responded to Torrei. She took to her instagram to let Torrei know she's too classy to engage in any beef with her. Erm Eniko, classy women don't sleep with married men. (That is if she did). See all the stuff she posted on instagram after the cut...

Dear LIB readers: I studied abroad, am I better off here or should I return home for work?

Posted: 24 May 2014 03:46 AM PDT

From a male LIB reader
Is it advisable for a Nigerian who studied abroad (UK, US, Canada) to move back home after studies instead of working menial jobs? And at the Long run, do you think that a Nigerian who moved back home after studies will be better of than those who stayed back?
What are the experiences of those that moved back home after studies, How did they gain the courage? Was it easy to get a job?

We are not ashamed to be called the church of the rich – Oyedepo

Posted: 24 May 2014 03:42 AM PDT

The Founder of Living Faith Church aka Winners Chapel, Bishop David Oyedepo, in an interview with Saturday Punch said the reason there are so many rich people in 33 year old church is because they know better than others and understand the importance of tithe (Let's not start with this tithe talk abeg, if I start now, we will start fighting here...lol). Anyway below is excerpts from the interview...
Why are there so many rich people in Winners?
Because they know better than their contemporaries. If you don't know what you have, you won't know if you are deprived of it. The Bible is an open chequebook, it is by revelation we access what belongs to us; by faith we take delivery of it. Someone had access to our empowerment programme and she is a pepper seller, while others sell one basket a day, she sells six, seven. I learnt she had become the envy of all the pepper sellers in her area. Such person has an understanding that whatever she does, she prospers and she knows that when she pays her tithe, she experiences open heavens. But in case people don't know, they perish for lack of knowledge, and in case they think when you are rich you miss heaven, then they perish for lack of knowledge.
So, it's right when people claim that this church is only for the rich?
It's for all the people who believe that Jesus already paid for them to be rich. And those who don't believe, when they come they start believing when they see it happen in a lot of people's lives. And we are not ashamed to be called the church of the rich. If they call your family poor, will you be excited? Nobody would be excited. Even when a family is poor, they hate to be called poor. No man in his right mind enjoys being called poor, and nobody truly wants to be poor, people may pretend. Which is more honourable between being a giver and a beggar? Most of us came in very poor, but the light of God's word came on us and we walked out of poverty in grand style into wealth and riches.

How come there is such wealth in the church despite the poverty in the nation?
The kingdom of God is funded by God's resources. We are not funded by the economy of the world, but by the economy of the kingdom, which has a budget for all of its agenda on earth. We've been here since 1999 and we have never had power outage or water shortage. The main players are Nigerians, the builders are Nigerians. There is no building here that any foreign expert took part in. There is no foreign company's presence here, including the tabernacle. Some of the revered foreign companies here in Nigeria are technicians in Germany, and they are all political contractors, not that they have something special to offer.

'I was molested from age 6 and gang-raped in high school' - Pamela Anderson reveals

Posted: 24 May 2014 03:15 AM PDT

During her speech at the launch of her foundation, Pamela Anderson Foundation, at Cannes Film Festival last week, glamour model and actress Pamela Anderson revealed how she was molested from age 6 and gang-raped by her first boyfriend and his friends who decided it would be fun to rape her
"I did not have an easy childhood. I was molested from age 6-10 by my female babysitter. I went to a friends boyfriends house while she was busy. The boyfriends older brother decided he would teach me backgammon which led into a back massage which led into rape- my first heterosexual experience. He was 25 yrs old, I was 12.
My first boyfriend in grade 9 decided it would be fun to gang rape me (with 6 of his friends) Needless to say I had a hard time trusting humans. I just wanted off this earth. My parents tried to keep me safe but to me the world was not a safe place, my dad  an alcoholic, my mom worked two jobs waitressing. My mom was always crying. Dad didn't always come home leaving us in tremendous pain and worry. I couldn't bare to give her any more disruptive information. I couldn't break her heart any more than it was breaking. I kept these events to myself. Sometimes, when you smile, it's not because you are happy, it's because you are strong" she said
Keep a close eye on your young children and the people around them. Children are getting molested every day...sometimes by family members...and people you trust!

Delsu Lecturer, Enajite Ojaruega kidnapped since Monday May 19th

Posted: 24 May 2014 02:28 AM PDT

A lecturer at the Department of English and Literary Studies, Delta State University Abraka was abducted while on her way to work on Monday, May 19, 2014.

Enajite Ojaruega (pictured above) was ambushed and kidnapped at gun point near Eku, Ethiope East Local Government Area of the state. Since then nothing has been heard from her abductors and her whereabouts remain unknown.

ASUU, Delta State University, Abraka branch, in a statement by its Chairman, Professor Abel Diakparomre called on the state govt and security agents to ensure the release of Mrs Ojaruega, and lamented on the constant harassment and kidnap of its members
"The way things are at present, the lectures are in danger and the guarantee of their safety is in serious doubt. Further delay in the release of Mrs. Ojaruega would compel the branch to activate this principle which will not be in the interest of the society.
We must state that it is extremely sacrilegious to temper with an academic anywhere in the world. When a Harvard lecturer was harassed by policemen a few years ago, it caused serious uproar in the United States and across the world.
The matter was formally settled in the White House by President Barrack Obama. But this is usually not the case in Nigeria and especially in Delta State, where professors have often been kidnapped like the way hawks pick chicks. Kidnappers now deal with academics the way a wanton child deals with grasshoppers.
All over the world, lecturers are held in the highest esteem. They form the basis for societal and national development. To tamper with them is to tamper with the destiny of the society and the nation. Thus, the kidnap and harassment of lecturers must stop immediately."

Soldiers allegedly shaves man's hair because it was too bushy

Posted: 24 May 2014 02:28 AM PDT

Don't know whether to be sad or be amused by this story. Some army officers now go around shaving people's hair? According to a LIB reader, that happened to his nephew in Warri. His story below...
Something happened recently in Warri and I'd be grateful if you can share it on your blog so that people can be more aware of the madness perpetuated by army officers who are supposed to be protecting the citizens of this great nation.
On Monday the 19th of May, 2014, my nephew was a lone passenger in a Keke (commercial tricycle) on his way back from work along PTI road, Effurun. The Keke was flagged down by some soldiers for no obvious reason. They told him to come down and kneel down which he did. Before he could grasp what was going on, they had started to shave off his hair with a pair of scissors, claiming that his hair was too bushy. Attached is a picture of what his hair looked like when he arrived home.
Can't a responsible young man move about freely in his country anymore or is this a further attempt to provoke youths to restiveness? Unfortunately, the soldiers, who had been terrorizing residents and passersby in that area the whole day, had no name tags on their uniforms. The army Toyota Hilux with registration number 148 is the only exhibit by which they can be traced.

Caleb University students asked to pay for damages caused during riot

Posted: 24 May 2014 02:36 AM PDT

On Wednesday May 14th, students of Caleb University, Imota Lagos, went on a rampage destroying school property after a school security personnel disrupted a Muslim student's prayers. The student had other grievances. (Read here)

Well, it seems the school wants to make every student, whether involved in the riot or not to pay for damages caused that day. In a text message sent to students yesterday, Caleb University asked male students to pay N100k and female students to pay N50k. Part of the text sent out below...
CUL Parents and Students are hereby notified that school resumes Mon, June 2. Exams start Mon, June 9. Male students are to pay N100,000.00 while the female would pay N50,000.00 by Bank Draft to offset damage to school property. Balance of Sch. fees should be paid into (account details). No student would be allowed into the University premises without evidence of payment of school accompany each student with a letter of undertaking to be of good behavior.
Is the school right to ask students to pay for damages?
