She did so today May 28th. I recall she refused to change her name to Humphries back in 2011, telling her husband then that the Kardashian name was already a brand and she couldn't drop it or add anything to it. Guess she knew that marriage wasn't going to last. I hope this one does.
N49.8b: Senate report clears NNPC, Deziani, says no money missing Posted: 28 May 2014 10:19 AM PDT The Senate Committee on Finance which investigated the NNPC over allegations of fraud leveled against it by the suspended Governor of the Central Bank, Mallam Lamido Sanusi, today Wednesday May 28th submitted its report to the Senate saying no funds were missing, The Will Nigeria reports. Sanusi had spuriously claimed in a leaked letter to President Goodluck that $49.8 billion in crude oil revenue was missing. The detailed report according to sources at the Senate also cleared the NNPC and the Ministry of Petroleum of any wrong doing. The report however directed the NNPC and the Ministry of Finance as well as other relevant agencies to reconcile a sum believed to be around $300 million dollars. THEWILL can also report that the Senate said the suspended Governor of the Central Bank was hasty and got his figures wrong. The report further recommended the immediate passage of the Petroleum Industry Bill (PIB) as the Minister of Petroleum, Mrs. Deziani Allison-Madueke continues to sanitise the industry. The Senate Committee on Finance is under the chairmanship of Senator Ahmed Mohammed Makarfi (Kaduna PDP). The committee took about 5 months to complete its assignment. New music service MyMusic.com.ng to launch next month Posted: 28 May 2014 09:51 AM PDT Will you pay N30 for a song with your phone credit? A group of young guys are starting a new music service called MyMusic.com.ng. Their idea is to offer a large collection of Nigerian music, both oldies and new school, on their mobile app /websites, price themat N30 per track, and allow people to pay for them with their phone credit. Founded by three friends, Tola, Damola and Dolapo who met in Babcock University years back, they say nobody has yet been able to solve the problem of digital music distribution in Nigeria. Continue... According to Damola, though people who have the drive to steal music will continue to do so, their goal is to make stealing music more trouble than it's worth by making digital music easy to find, purchase and reasonably priced. He believes the vast majority of people will choose to buy rather than steal. Meanwhile, Nigeria has over 110m phone users and about 48m Internet subscribers. Their phone billing works in 80 countries including the UK, USA and Canada and their website also accepts credit card payments Damola says, "The startup environment in Lagos is buzzing at the moment. The world needs to come here and see what people are doing. People are proffering solutions to various problems ubiquitously and I am sure that startups will be the next economic giants in Nigeria in the nearest future. The population is massive and this is just the beginning.Upcoming entrepreneurs should know that the only thing standing between them and their goal is the story they keep telling themselves as to why they can't achieve it. " Can this reduce piracy in the music industry? Watch their CNN feature here - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kkZmO7Yl5Qs You can pre-register for a free account at: www.mymusic.com.ng

Th Bride Price app, what do y'all think of it? Posted: 28 May 2014 08:41 AM PDT Brideprice.com.ng, iro le pa! After playing the game, the app said my bride price is N482k. Lai Lai! Dear future husband, I don't care what this app says, my bride price is currently at N2.5million. If you waste time and don't show up this year, the bride price will increase by 50%. So gbo? Lol. #kidding! Anyway, have you guys seen this app? Tried it? What do you think? It's a new app that helps women know how much they are worth so they can charge their future husbands accordingly. But it's all in good fun and not to be taken seriously. The app basically assigns virtual monetary value to women in an attempt to calculate their bride price based on factors such as their level of education, skin colour, nationality, weight, beauty, physical features, accents, country of residence, employment status etc' I find the app hilarious but apparently not everyone does. A Cosmo writer yesterday described the app as sexist and someone even started a petition asking the app makers to take it down saying that it promotes objectification and misogyny towards women but the guys behind it Anakle.com say its just a joke and should not be perceived as a platform to objectify women. Find their statement after the cut The app itself is an aggregation of jokes and stereotypes regarding Brice price in Nigeria. These stereotypes are all jokingly used in various Nigerian cultures and on social media every day. Below are some screenshots from the app

National Conference delegates vote to tax churches, mosques Posted: 28 May 2014 03:14 AM PDT Delegates at the ongoing National Conference yesterday May 27th voted unanimously for churches & mosques to pay taxes. The delegates arrived at the decision after deliberating on recommendations made by the Committee on Religion. A delegate representing Civil Organizations, Mallam Naseer Kura, during the deliberation observed that most religious leaders in Nigeria are now making a lot of money from their organizations and so should be taxed accordingly. Supporting his arguement, Isaac Ighure a delegate representing the Nigeria Guild of Editors, in his submission said most religious leaders had so much money now to buy jets while their followers are living in abject poverty and asked that they should be made to pay taxes. "Some people buy private jets when people in their churches are suffering and living in abject poverty, they should be made to pay taxes," he said. The recommendations to pay tax will be submitted to the National Assembly at the end of the conference and if accepted by the National Assembly, it would then be passed into law. Who agrees that religious organizations should pay tax?

Kharal said Parveen's relatives waited outside the court, which is located on a main downtown thoroughfare. As the couple walked up to the court's main gate, the family members fired shots in the air and tried to snatch her from Iqbal, he said. When she resisted, her father, brothers and other relatives started beating her, eventually pelting her with bricks from a nearby construction site, Iqbal said.
'I simply took her to court and registered a marriage,' he said. Butt, the police official, said Parveen's father surrendered after the incident and called the murder an 'honor killing.'

He's being massively criticized for it with one fan writing "He's not rich enough that he doesn't have to worry about money for the rest of his life. The way he spends it he may be broke soon...the life of a rapper is short lived" but I guess it's a good thing, the tat will remind him for a long time to spend money wisely so he can live up to the phrase on his face. I'm sure he wouldn't want to one day change it to 'Used to be rich!" lol. See another pic after the cut...
