Dogs eating corpses of Ebola victims in Liberia - residents claim

Posted: 29 Aug 2014 12:15 PM PDT

Residents of Johnsonville Township, outside Monrovia in Liberia are claiming that dogs are digging up the corpses of Ebola victims buried in shallow graves in Liberia and eating them in the streets.

Though security personnel guarding the area have refuted this, the residents insist it's been happening for days...that wild dogs have been going to the 'Ebola graveyard' in Johnsonville, digging up corpses, dragging them into the open and feeding on their flesh. They are blaming government health officials who hurriedly bury Ebola victims after they die in shallow graves at night.

Now the residents fear that the dogs could pass the virus to humans.

All forgiven? 50 Cent shows up at ex Chelsea Handler's final show

Posted: 29 Aug 2014 10:57 AM PDT

Some of you may not know this but rapper 50 Cent and comedienne/talk-show host Chelsea Handler dated for a couple of months back in 2012. A few weeks after they broke up, Chelsea embarrassed the hell out of 50 after she told radio DJ Howard Stern that she dumped him and called him a street person because his side chick at the time, Ciara, kept stalking them.

Apparently all is forgiven because 50 Cent showed up for the final episode of 'Chelsea Lately on E!

On stage, Chelsea, who admitted she hadn't seen the rapper since their nasty break-up, joked,
"I wanted to apologize because I did end our relationship abruptly and I know you didn't come on the show for many years...but I want you to know that I have not dated a black man since. They say, 'Once you go black, you never go back' You come running back!"
See what Chelsea said about 50 Cent and Ciara back in 2012 after the cut...

Chelsea tells Howard Stern about their messy break up,

It was so dumb. it's almost embarrassing. I really can't remember the exact the details, but I'll tell you what I can remember. I think one of his ex-girlfriends was coming on my show and she's one of those singers -I can't remember her name. She's really hot. He was dating her I guess previous to me.

Right before Anguilla, Ciara–that's her name!–was coming on the show, and he called me to tell me something about her like she still calls him all the time, and she still tells him that she loves him or something. And I'm at my job, and I go "Curtis, honestly this is like eighth grade sh*t. Why are you telling me this? This girl is coming on the show tomorrow, and now I have to look at her and think you guys have some weird thing going on or had going on." It was so juvenile. I'm at my work and I work my ass off all the time, and I have million different things and even though it's not like important work, I am working hard. I'm doing sh*t. He said, "I want you to hear this conversation" and he was like calling someone like a 3-way phone call. I go, "So you're telling me this girl wants to get back together with you, but she's upset that you're dating me, is that what you're saying?" He's like, "Yeah, so I just want you to know when she comes."

I think I called him the worst thing you could say to a black person short of calling him the N-word. I said something like you're like a street person basically. Something along the lines of being a gangster, and it was really, really offensive and I hung up and I've never spoken to him again.

Posted: 29 Aug 2014 05:39 AM PDT

Lagos State Signage and Advertisement Agency (LASAA) in partnership with Outdoor Advertising Association of Nigeria (OAAN), some leading electronic billboard operators in Lagos State and Nigeria's biggest advertising agency, Insight Communications Limited, is set to commence a public awareness campaign as part of efforts to curb the spread of Ebola.

BH foreign negotiator names Alimodu Sheriff as Boko Haram sponsor

Posted: 29 Aug 2014 04:58 AM PDT

In a recent interview with Arise News TV, Australian hostage negotiator, Stephen Davis, who was hired by the Nigerian government some months back to help negotiate with Boko Haram members to facilitate the release of abducted Chibok girls, mentioned the name of former Borno state Governor, Alimodu Sheriff as a sponsor of the terrorist group, Boko Haram. He also said that an unnamed past Chief of Army Staff who was sacked by Pres. Jonathan was also a sponsor of the group.

In the video released yesterday, Davis was very quick to mention the names of the alleged sponsors.
"The first thing to do.. go and arrest former Governor, Sheriff. Former Borno Governor Sheriff who has been funding this for years. He hooks these guys up. He is so frightened that he has switched party to the ruling PDP in the hope that this would give him protection. That guy has really got to go and you know he is enormously corrupt." Continue...
"Why the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission has not yet picked him up is anybody's guess. There is a...the former Chief of Army Staff retired in January but was actually sacked by the President is another sponsor. I would give you the names if you like, I have no fear of this. We are very confident and in fact Boko Haram senior commanders who have been naming them in the interactions I have had with them over many months, confirming what we knew sometime before from other commanders" he said.
After the interview was released, former FCT Minister, Mallam Nasir El Rufai  took to his facebook page to say that the unnamed former army Chief is Lt. Gen Ihejirika rtd, the immediate past Chief of Army staff. Below is what El-Rufai posted on his facebook page

"Australian hostage negotiator Stephen Davis has just named Former Borno Governor Ali Modu Sheriff and immediate chief of army staff Lt-Gen Ihejirika (removed in January 2014) as the Boko Haram brains on ARISE NEWS.  Davis said Boko Haram commanders that he has been negotiating with as the source of this information. The kingpins not only finance BH operations but select targets for assassination and execution. Finally, the truth about BH is coming out. Hopefully, the murderers of General Muhammadu Shuwa, the abductors of the Chibok girls, those truly responsible for the Nyanya bombings, and attempted assassination of General Buhari and Sheikh Dahiru Bauchi will be known. We hope the authorities will take the steps necessary to act on this revelation, and thereby discharge their duty to protect us, the citizens of Nigeria. That is just what it is, a hope!".

Reacting to the claims against him made by El Rufai, Lt Gen Ihejirika who spoke with Vanguard said he isn't surprised that the allegation is coming from the former minister who he said is the real sponsor of Boko.
"The Commanders including El-Rufai know where the problem is. He should stop deceiving Nigerians by trying to divert attention. When the Boko Haram operation started, supporters of the sect like El Rufai said that there was nothing like Boko Haram and that the Army was just killing innocent youths. If you also remember, not too long ago, some of their supporters including El-Rufai said that I was re-inventing the killing of the Ibos during the Biafra war following government's determination to rid the country of terrorism. The likes of El Rufai started the campaign of human rights abuses in order to divert international attention from the heinous crime being committed by the Boko Haram terrorist. The likes of El Rufai have been supporting Boko Haram. Infact, El Rufai and his likes are the same group of people that ensured the army did not get the requested equipment to deal with the menace once and for all as they used their cohorts to tell the government that procuring modern equipment was unnecessary. At the onset of this crisis, I was the first person to declare that the country was at war but a group of sponsors led by El Rufai disagreed, saying that it was not true. It is the same group of El-Rufai that started the human rights abuses campaign. It was done in order to block any international assistance after the state of emergency was declared and the sect was initially tamed. That gave Boko Haram time and respite to build up again" he said

Pastor Oyakhilome’s wife files for divorce in London court, alleges adultery

Posted: 29 Aug 2014 04:11 AM PDT

According to The Cable, the dissolution of the marriage between Christ Embassy Church founder, Pastor Chris Oyakhilome, and his wife, Rev. Anita Odegwa Oyakhilome, has entered the final phase.
The wife is seeking divorce on the grounds of "unreasonable behaviour" and "adultery". She outlined several allegations against the pastor which cannot publish for legal reasons. The divorce case, with Suit No FD14D01650, was filed on April 9, 2014 at Divorce Section A, Central Family Court, First Avenue House, High Holborn, London, UK, on Anita's behalf by Attwaters Jameson Hill Solicitors, a full-service law firm with expertise in commercial law and a strong consumer focus in family, wills and estate, personal injury law and medical negligence.
Efforts to reconcile the popular couple, whose church is one of the biggest denominations in Nigeria and has branches all over world, have failed. They have two teenage daughters, Sharon and Charlyn." Continue...
Oyakhilome is the president of Believers' Love World Inc, the registered name of the Christian ministry, while his wife is the vice-president. The pastor, according to an elder of the church, has denied allegations of adultery and believes his wife is being influenced by "bad friends" who are intent on destroying their home. While Anita believes she has been relegated in the scheme of things in the church, her husband has reportedly accused her of trying to usurp power and authority above her seniors in the ministry. Sources told TheCable that the pastor had been making efforts to avoid divorce in the hope that the wife would eventually have a change of mind. However, the decree nissi was served on the charismatic pastor in his hotel room during a recent visit to the UK. Decree nissi, in legal terms, is like a yellow card in a football match which is a precursor to a red card ("decree absolute") if no new evidence is provided to stall proceedings. Church insiders said Oyakhilome had been hoping for rapprochement, but he was left with no option than to receive the papers when the lawyers cornered him at his hotel in London. The decree absolute, which will effectively end the marriage, is expected to be issued soon while terms of the divorce will be worked out by the lawyers on both sides.
