Neal's wife was found inside their West Houston home with multiple stab wounds and signs of blunt force trauma. The fitness model and aspiring boxer was pronounced dead at the scene. Continue    |

| Nigerian army blames this morning's attack at Palmgrove on area boys Posted: 04 Jul 2014 08:59 AM PDT   Speaking with Premium Times, the Nigerian Army spokesperson, Olajide Olaleye, blamed area boys for the attack. "It's not true that the soldiers destroyed buses or set any bus on fire. What happened was that a BRT bus knocked down a soldier and killed him. As usual in Lagos, area boys gathered and a few soldiers stopped at the scene as well. The GOC has dispatched military policemen to the scene to help restore law and order," Mr. Olaleye said.Lol. Blame it on the area boys when there's photo evidence. 6 BRT buses and 3 other cars were burnt after the soldier's rampage this morning. Even a woman soldier waka join inside...continue... | Nigerian Troops arrest 3 female undercover operatives of Boko Haram Posted: 04 Jul 2014 07:04 AM PDT  In the aftermath of the failed suicide bombing attempt on a military facility by a female terrorist who blew herself up in Gombe recently, troops have arrested three suspected female terrorists who have been secretly recruiting ladies into the female wing of the terrorists group. The suspects, Hafsat Usman Bako, Zainab Idris and Aisha Abubakar were intercepted while travelling to Madagali from where they were to transit to the forest to reunite with their cohorts. Continue...Investigations revealed that the suspects, led by Hafsat Bako, have the mission to recruit members into the female wing as well as conduct espionage for the group. Hafsat's link with the terrorists group had earlier been a subject of investigation in 2012, when security agents on a manhunt for one Usman Bako, her husband who was identified as a terrorist, stormed their residence in Jimeta. This resulted in the discovery of an AK 47 rifle and 2 loaded magazines. Though Usman Bako later died in an encounter with troops in Sokoto where he had relocated to continue his terrorist activities, Hafsat continued with the terror group specializing in surreptitious recruitment of members into their fold. The arrested trio suspects were luring ladies especially widows and young girls by enticing them with male suitors who are mainly members of their terror group for marriage. Before their arrest, they were on a mission to take additional briefing from the leadership of the terror group. The trio has been operating together as members of the intelligence team of the group. But the prize turned out to be a £4 cocktail called 'Holiday' made from gin, vodka, peach schnapps, blackcurrant liqueur and fruit juice. The girl was cheered on by the crowd as she went from one man to the other, asking them to take down their pants and performed the sex act.

| Security man in Palmgrove Estate battered after soldier is killed by BRT bus Posted: 04 Jul 2014 02:35 AM PDT  The BRT driver who hit the soldier ran into Palmgrove estate in order to avoid the wrath of other soldiers present. Upon noticing that the driver ran away, the Army men ran into Palmgrove estate and when they couldn't find the driver, seized one of the Estate's security men. (pictured above) According to eye-witnesses, the soldiers beat the man mercilessly and took him away. He was released hours later badly beaten and traumatized. He had nothing to do with the incident but paid for it. Sad! Heard they even burnt down a BRT bus. Is their anger justified? |

| Photos: Soldiers on rampage in Palmgrove, damage BRT buses Posted: 04 Jul 2014 02:12 AM PDT  According the eye-witness who sent in the photos, two civilians were allegedly beaten up and a guy who was taking pictures was beaten and his phone smashed on the express road. Then the soldiers allegedly started vandalizing the buses! According to the source, some soldiers left the express and took big sticks from women cooking by the roadside to break the windows of the buses. Then one of them took stones and allegedly threw it into the crowd twice. Now the whole express is blocked. See more exclusive photos from the chaos after the cut...            |
| Confab endorses creation of Ijebu, Aba, 16 other states, proposes Presidency rotation Posted: 04 Jul 2014 12:22 AM PDT  The members suggested the creation of a state for the South-East geopolitical zone which has only 5 states in order to bring the number to 6 which is the number of states of other zones, apart from the North -West, which has seven. Continue... Some of the proposed states approved by the Confab are Apa from Benue State, Kainji from Kebbi, Katagum from Bauchi, Savannah from Borno, Amana from Adamawa, Gurara from Kaduna, Ghari from Kano, Etiti from South East, Aba from Abia, Adada from Enugu, Njaba-Anim from Anambra and Imo, Anioma from Delta State, Orashi from Rivers State, Ogoja from Cross River State, IJebu from Ogun State and New Oyo State from the present Oyo State. The Conference is to later determine the names of the remaining two other states and their capitals, which are to be created in the South-South and South West zones. If approved by the Presidency, the number of states in the Country would now be 54. The conference members also voted for the rotation of the Presidency between the North and South and also between the geo-political zones. They also voted against the immediate swearing-in of a Vice President into the office of the President should a sitting President die in office or be impeached. They proposed that a Vice President should be sworn in as Acting President for 90days within which a fresh election for a new President should be held. The delegates also agreed that the old national anthem, "Nigeria we hail thee…" should be replaced with the current one. |
