The source said they are not planning to get engaged as they are both still technically married to other people - but are enjoying 'a very sexual relationship.' |

| Taraba State Accountant-General arraigned For N1.56billion Fraud Posted: 09 Jul 2014 09:17 AM PDT  When the charges were read to him, the accused person pleaded not guilty. Continue... The malfeasance came to light following a petition received from a concerned Taraba State indigene, sometime in February 2014, alleging massive looting of Taraba state funds. The petition triggered investigation of the lifestyle of some of the officers mentioned in the petition and who were believed to be living above their means. The investigation uncovered systematic withdrawal of state funds through a scheme mastermind by the accountant - general of the State, Joel Lengbang. Withdrawals were allegedly made under the guise that such monies were used for sundry payments on behalf of ministries, departments and agencies (MDAs), as well as payment of Bank Commissions on Turn over (COT) and Value Added Tax (VAT) which became a monthly affair. A total sum of N1,567,226,557.081 (one billion, five hundred and sixty seven million, two hundred and twenty six thousand, five hundred and fifty seven naira, eighty one kobo) was discovered to have been looted from the state treasury between January 2012 and December 2013. In view of the plea of the accused, prosecuting counsel, Al Qasim Ja'afar applied for a date to commence trial. Counsel to accused, Abayomi Akamode, however, informed the court that he had filed a motion for bail this morning and urged the court hear it. But Al Qasim told the court that he was just served the motion on notice in court and would need time to peruse and respond appropriately. He ripped my cervix. It's a long story, but August reached out to me on Instagram, after he saw some of my bikini photos. It started off as innocent flirting. I wasn't even convinced it was really him. There are a lot of catfishes outchea. Anyway, a few months back, he asked me to fly to Virginia to his concert. He said that we could to hang out after. | "Boko Haram menace is not a war the army can easily win" - Alao-Akala Posted: 09 Jul 2014 08:26 AM PDT  "With due respect to the army, no matter how sophisticated the army is, this is not a war they can easily win. It is one that everybody has to participate in order for the nation to win. What they should do is to make sure the police are well equipped to face the challenge. If you see when they started they first of all scared away the police. They are attacking police station all over the place just to scare them. And they allowed police to be scared by bringing in army, no! They should have fortified the police by giving them more money and vital equipment to enable them to face these people. The police are more widespread in this country than the army. We have police post in every locality, but soldiers are not everywhere. If you remember, at the commencement of the civil war, there was what they called police action first, but when they felt the police could not deliver, they brought in the army. Right now, there is a department in the police called CIB, Civil Intelligence Bureau. The CIB will gather intelligence report, which will not be sent to anywhere but used within the immediate environment and action taken immediately based on the intelligence gathered and analysed by the officers. If the police are in charge, they would send intelligence officers to mingle with the areas they consider as Boko Haram black spots to be able to gather vital information in dealing with them. So, my suggestion is that the police should be brought in; army should be in the background. Why we have mobile policemen is because of this type of situation, MOPOL is a sort of para-military and they are well armed and well trained to face this type of a threat to the society". he said |

| When Heineken demonstrated unforgettable stunt in Nigeria Posted: 09 Jul 2014 05:37 AM PDT  True to its brand promise of Opening Your World, the world's most international beer brand, Heineken, dazzled Lagosians with an amazing stunt on the Falomo Bridge, Ikoyi, Lagos when it brought the real UEFA Champions League Trophy on a tour few months back. Unsuspecting onlookers were mesmerized by the grand spectacle on display on the bridge. Continue...  In what appeared to have been very carefully planned and deftly executed, the Heineken stunt involved a motorcade which took off from the Eko Hotels and Suites and proceeded to Falomo Bridge in Ikoyi. To add glamour and spice to the stunt, the motorcade included Dutch football legend and Heineken Ambassador; Ruud Gullit accompanied by Ex- Super Eagles superstars Austin 'Jay Jay' Okocha and Sunday Oliseh. Onlookers were taken by surprise when out of nowhere a carnival-like procession with people dressed up in the various European club team jerseys emerged cheering, dancing and singing amidst the blaring music and football commentary. With a helicopter hovering around the bridge, in an instant a part of the bridge was locked down briefly and a mini-pitch was set-up. Amidst deafening cheers Jay Jay Okocha and Sunday Oliseh stepped onto the pitch and displayed sublime football skills much to the amazement of onlookers.  The major highlight of the stunt was the unveiling of the UEFA Champions League Trophy. Similar to a victory tour of a championship winning team, two huge double-decker buses with open roofs added to the excitement of the stunt. With the UEFA Champions league theme song playing in the background, Dutch Legend, Ruud Gullit emerged on top of one of the double-decker buses with the UEFA Trophy. Onlookers were sent into wild frenzy when Gullit hoisted the UEFA Trophy for all to see. "I was on my way from work when I noticed there was something unusual happening on the bridge" said another onlooker, Ezekiel Chukwuma, "I decided to hang around to see what the fuss was all about. I was amazed by the event I witnessed. For me, the most interesting part was when I saw the UEFA Trophy lifted by Ruud Gullit. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity of seeing this Trophy."                          |

| Soldiers rampage: Army states own side of the story, flays Soyinka Posted: 09 Jul 2014 04:25 AM PDT  The Nigerian Army have released a statement explaining their side of what transpired last Friday July 4th where soldiers allegedly beat up some civilians and set some BRT buses ablaze. The statement signed by Deputy Director, Army Public Relations, Lieutenant Colonel Omale Ochagwuba, says contrary to reports, the Lance Corporal killed by the BRT bus was driving on the main road used by other motorists and not on the lane reserved for the BRT buses. It also denied the army officers being responsible for setting some BRT buses on fire. The statement reads in part; "On July 4, a Lance Corporal of Nigerian Army, who was on his way to the office on Ikorodu Road around Obanikoro area between 6:30 and 6:45am, was knocked down and killed by a BRT bus with number plate KSF 995 XJ. It is pertinent to state here that the late soldier was riding a power bike approved by the state government and he was neither riding inside a BRT lane nor was the BRT bus that killed him driving inside the BRT lane. The innocent law-abiding soldier was killed on the normal lane being plied by everybody as against what is being alleged by some sections of the media. Continue.. The soldier was hit from the rear and killed instantly. As stated earlier in our release, the mayhem visited on the BRT buses was the handiwork of hoodlums who seized the opportunity of the tragic situation to vent their anger on the buses for reasons best known to them. We know the peculiar nature of Lagos where miscreants always take advantage of situations like this to cause havoc. In a situation like this, people are bound to wrongfully accuse soldiers because they were seen around the offending bus which was not even attacked. With careful analysis of the incident, one will observe that the BRT buses vandalised were far removed from the scene of the accident". "It is pertinent to once more remind the good people of Lagos that the BRT bus in question that killed the soldier and triggered the tragic consequences was neither vandalised nor burnt. It was same soldiers who are being wrongfully accused of burning buses and causing mayhem, which is not true, that secured the BRT bus and protected it from hoodlums before it was later towed into the barracks for safety and also prevented the hoodlums from causing further mayhem on the road and cleared the route for traffic to flow. We have pictures of the bus at the scene of the accident and while it was being towed away to safety. The bus in question has since been released to the BRT management. The question begging for answer now is: why is the bus itself that killed the soldier which was already in soldiers hands not vandalised or burnt? Is it not logical that, it should have been the first target of their anger as alleged? These are hard times for Nigerians and all hands should be on the deck to bring peace to the country rather than inflame passion. The Lagos State Government, which is supposed to be the most aggrieved party, did not jump into conclusions. The Lagos State Government said they are investigating. That is a matured way of handling situation rather than reacting on public opinion."The Army also reacted to a statement credited to Nobel Laureate Prof. Wole Soyinka where he was alleged to have said the army was "Mad" while reacting to the Friday July 4th incident "In a situation where a respected elder statesman will stand up in a public function and based on hear-say call a respected professional organisation like the Nigerian Army which is one of the major pillars of democracy and fighting to keep the country together as mad, is unfortunate and unbecoming. In less than a week, he has made two careless offensive statements. At times, he seems to speak before weighing the consequences of his statement. The Nigerian Army is a professional force which is law-abiding like any other citizen. The military is a highly disciplined organisation which also takes necessary steps to see that its erring members are brought to book at any time the need arises to enforce discipline." |

| Police parade suspected baby factory operators in Rivers state Posted: 09 Jul 2014 01:45 AM PDT  Three pregnant women and a 36-year-old man (pictured above) suspected to be involved in producing babies for sale were paraded by the Rivers State Police Command yesterday July 8th, Punch reports. The suspects, who were arrested in Igwuruta, Rivers state on July 5th, were identified as Odinchinma Nwala (25), Glory Anyanwu (22), Goodness Nwankwo (19), and Stanley Okechukwu (male, 36). The DPO of Igwuruta Police Station, Mr. Bello Muhammed, who spoke with newsmen, explained how the suspects were arrested, saying they were alerted by well meaning Nigerians.
Mohammed said that investigation was ongoing to get to the root of the matter, adding that child trafficking remains an offence in the country. However, Okechukwu, who spoke with newsmen, denied operating a baby factory. He said that he was only rendering assistance to the young pregnant women. Also, one of the pregnant women, who identified herself as Glory Anyanwu, said she was eight months pregnant, even as she denied that they were being kept for a baby producing business. | Pics: Drug dealer releases haunting video of Angelina Jolie as a drug addict Posted: 09 Jul 2014 12:02 AM PDT   The video was released to National Enquirer magazine recently by Angelina Jolie's former drug dealer, Franklin Meyer, who claims he shot it in 1999 after she called him to her to home to re-supply her with heroin and cocaine. "Angie was a client of mine for several years. I sold her heroin and cocaine. One day she called me up and wanted me to drop by her place. That was her way of telling me she wanted me to bring her drugs. At the time, I had just bought a video camera and decided to bring it along. When I arrived, I just gave her the drugs and then she gave me the money.' Convicted drug dealer Meyer said he kept filming her as her father, actor Jon Voight, called her to discuss family matters. In the video Angie's eyes are bloodshot, her arms emaciated and scratched, her fingernails dirty...and the room filthy.
