He has done a lot of good works, especially in the last 4 years, and he is determined to do even much more. If you cast your vote for Jonathan (as the PDP presidential candidate) on February 14, he wont need to spend about two years studying what is on ground; he has already mastered the systems and no civil servant can deceive him. Don't waste your vote on someone who will come in and start learning what is on ground, vote for Jonathan so that all the good works we will show you can continue. Below are some of the great transformations President Jonathan has achieved:  6 Million: The Number of Farmers who now receive Farm Inputs directly This and other achievements by President Jonathan which has led to the availability of foods for Nigerians to eat will be covered extensively in the next Post where we shall focus on Agriculture, but we want you to have it in mind that there is no longer food scarcity in Nigeria and more jobs have been created in this all-important sector due to the intervention of President Jonathan of PDP.  15 Years: The Period most of our Rail Lines where Dead until Jonathan intervened It is only blind man that will deny what President Jonathan of PDP has achieved in this critical sector. All the way; Lagos-Kano, Port Harcourt-Enugu, Port Harcourt-Maiduguri, Abuja-Kaduna and Itakpe-Ajaokuta-Warri, all these Rail Lines that had been moribond for 15 years have either undergone rehabilitation or modernisation. More routes are undergoing rehabilitation at a fast pace. In fact, Rehabilitation of the Lagos-Ibadan-Oshogbo-Ilorin-  24 Hours: Round the clock Operations in Nigeria's Ports For the first time since 1970, President Jonathan of PDP has ensured that Nigeria's Ports operate all day long, non-stop, to ensure that goods are cleared in record time for the benefit of Nigerians. As a result, clearing time for trouble-free cargo has drastically REDUCED from 39 days to just 7 days. Also, the number of government agencies at the Ports has been cut down from 13 to just 7, an action that has streamlined bottlenecks and reduced financial requirements for clearance and decongestion.  First Time Ever: Nigeria now has its own Aviation Master Plan This is the very first time in the history of this country that Nigeria has developed its Aviation Master Plan and Road Map, courtesy of the Transformation Agenda of President Jonathan of PDP. For the first time also, Five modern international passenger terminals are being constructed simultaneously in Lagos, Abuja, Port Harcourt, Kano and Enugu. All the 22 federally-owned airports across the country are being remodeled, resulting in improved passenger experience and you may wish to know that there has been a robust revision of the Civil Aviation National Policy for the first time in over 12 years. The Jonathan government has installed cutting-edge Navigation aids and Instruments Landing System (ILS), including runway lights and total radar coverage (TRACON)) to enhance air safety. | Jagged Edge member arrested after forcing his fiancée to eat her engagement ring Posted: 29 Jan 2015 12:35 PM PST  According to Atlanta police, they were called to the home of Kylie Norman around 5am and when they got to the area, they saw a woman with "welts under her eyes, a golf ball-sized knot on her forehead, a cut to her nose and a blood clot in her right eye". The woman was later identified at Norman's fiancee. She told police they'd been arguing about the details of their upcoming wedding when Norman attacked her, punched her, choked her with a scarf and then shoved her engagement ring down her throat. Police say after the attack, Norman broke her phone and seized her car keys, refusing to let her leave the house. She said because she was scared for her life, she began to agree with everything he said in other to calm him down. When he was calm and walked away from her, she took his phone and ran out of the house to a neighbour's house where she called the police. "She stated that she began to agree with things that he was saying in an attempt to calm him down," the officer who was at the scene wrote. "While doing that he turned around and walked away inside their loft and she ran and grabbed his cell phone and was able to run outside and awake a neighbor who let her inside."Norman was immediately arrested and he later told police he was upset about his dad having cancer and that's the reason he got so mad at his fiance. He's currently being held at the Fulton County Jail on a charge of aggravated assault. |

| Boko Haram plans to bomb political rallies, worship centres - NOA Posted: 29 Jan 2015 10:51 AM PST  Omeiri said this while speaking to newsmen on Tuesday January 27th in Abuja "Available intelligence reports indicate a plan by Boko Haram to use young male suicide bombers disguised as cobblers (shoemakers) to hide explosives in their tool boxes and detonate them in soft target areas such as markets, restaurants, ATM locations, political rallies, worship centres, as well as other public places.Also there is indication of a plan by this group to use livestock (such as goats, cows, donkeys and camels) laden with explosives to attack chosen targets. In view of these, the general public, including all persons operating within and around the aforementioned places, is advised to be vigilant and mindful of suspicious activities within their environment." he said He advised everyone to be watchful during this period and report any suspicious movement to the police. |
| Buhari will not participate in BON presidential debate - APC Posted: 29 Jan 2015 09:17 AM PST  In a statement released today January 29th by Garna Shehu, the Director, Media and Publicity of the APC Presidential Campaign Organisation (APCPCO), they said Buhari will not be participating in the debate as the composition of those organizing the debate was mainly of agencies and allies of the incumbent People's Democratic Party's (PDP) administration. The statement reads in part; "A cursory inspection of the composition of NEGD brings into focus the Broadcasting Organisation of Nigeria (BON), National Television Authority (NTA), Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria (FRCN) and the Africa Independent Television (AIT, owned by a PDP chieftain). And going by the avalanche of inflammatory statements, misinformation and blatant lies being propagated by some of these media against our Party and candidates contrary to the Kofi Annan brokered Abuja Peace Accord, and the failure of these aggressors to desist and apologise, have left the APC Campaign with no option than to steer clear of any premeditated smear campaign that could be inimical to our prospective electoral success," . |

| Man sentenced to 10 Years Imprisonment For Contract Scam Posted: 29 Jan 2015 08:39 AM PST  The Economic and Fiunacial Crimes Commission, EFCC, recorded its first conviction for 2015 on Wednesday January 28, 2015 as Justice A. Ongetenu of the Federal High Court Abakaliki, Ebonyi State convicted and sentenced one Monday Agha to 10 years imprisonment for offences bordering on conspiracy, impersonation and obtaining money by false pretence. After diligent prosecution, Justice Ongetenu convicted the accused on six of the eight count charge preferred against him and sentenced him to 10 years imprisonment. The convict was also ordered to pay N2,730,000 (two million, seven hundred and thirty thousand naira) in restitution to the complainant One of the charges reads: "that you Agha Monday (a.k.a Nwachukwu Peter Elom), Elder Emmanuel Elom, (at large) Obinna Chijioke (at large) Agatha Chigbata Munachi (at large) Anthonia C. Nwigwe (at large) Hon. P. A. Odonio (at large) sometime between December 2010 and April 2011 in Ebonyi State, within the jurisdiction of the Federal High Court of Nigeria, Abakaliki with intent to defraud, obtained the sum of five hundred and fifteen thousand naira (N515,000.00) from Chinyere Bright through Oceanic Bank (now Eco Bank) account number 0190001034503 by false pretence that the said Chinyere Bright has been awarded a contract for the printing and supply of 25,000 pieces of polo shirts by the government of Ebonyi State and the said money is for mobilisation and processing of the said contract, which pretence you knew to be false and thereby committed an offence contrary to Section 1(1)(a) of Advance Fee Fraud and other fraud Related Offences Act,2006 and punishable under Section 1(3)of the same Act". The convict had previously been convicted by a Federal High Court, Enugu and sentenced to 7 years in prison for defrauding a University don of N805,000. But there's one question we have all not asked, and that's what makes American artists donate to politicians while the actors here in Nigeria are asking from politicians. Every member of the National Assembly has not made an reasonable law on piracy which has devoured the industry. So, there's poverty in the industry. If there's not, you won't see our people flocking around all these politicians, campaigning, singing and dancing for them. I saw a candidate being surrounded by some of our colleagues; I now said to myself, 'if this man eventually wins, how many actors or musicians will he remember? Although some are doing it to make ends meet. And it's sad because we're stars. I think we're supposed to be worshiped, not worshiping others. Even if a governor holds your hand, he's supposed to be happy. But now, the reverse is the case. |
