| Photos: Kidnapper nabbed in VGC, beaten by mob Posted: 16 May 2015 01:40 PM PDT  This man badly beaten was arrested in VGC this evening. According to the story sent exclusively to LIB, a driver connived with three men to kidnap his boss, the owner of Victoria Water Services from the airport but fortunately traffic foiled their plans. The lady they almost kidnapped narrated how she had called her driver to pick her from the airport, and she was surprised when some men entered from the back when the doors were supposed to be locked. As they were driving towards Aja, they found themselves in traffic and as the driver tried to reverse, it hit another car and that was when the woman opened the door and jumped from the vehicle and started screaming that they were trying to kidnap her. People chased the car and managed to pull one of the criminals from the car... and of course they beat him up (the one pictured) and handed him to the police at VGC. Other criminals are presently at large..    |

The golfer's been buttering up Elin Nordegren – and when his girlfriend, Olympic skier Lindsey Vonn, found out, she dumped him, sources told The National Enquirer. "Tiger has been sweet-talking Elin in texts, emails and calls in an attempt to wriggle out of a multi-million dollar payment he's due to make to her in Jan. 2016," said the source. Tiger, 39, still owes Elin $54 million as part of their 2010 divorce settlement. If he doesn't pay her off by Jan. 15, 2016, he could reportedly lose his home in Jupiter Island, Fla., since a holding company created by Elin holds the home's mortgage. Said another insider: "Tiger is worth $600 million, but he's a tightwad!"The plan "blew up in his face" when Lindsey found out. Added the source: "It was a huge betrayal to Lindsey. After basically devoting three years to him and his kids, she told Tiger, 'It's over!' It was brutal. He didn't expect it at all." Even worse, Elin – who received $110 million in their divorce after The ENQUIRER unmasked Tiger as a serial cheater – isn't likely to let him off the hook. Said the source: "Elin just wants Tiger to settle his debt." Meanwhile, Tiger's two young kids could be "scarred for life" by his split from Lindsey, according to a top expert. Lindsey, 30, was frequently seen with Tiger's cubs – daughter Sam Alexis, 7, and son Charlie Axel, 6. Dr. Gilda Carle, who has not treated the youngsters, told The ENQUIRER: "Their father had been with Lindsey for a good part of their lives. "His children might process the split as something they caused, and suffer a sense of guilt and abandonment." |

| Senator Ahmed Zanna dies at 59 Posted: 16 May 2015 10:51 AM PDT  Family sources say he died this morning in his Abuja residence, few days after returning from Germany where he had gone to receive treatment for an undisclosed ailment. Until his death, Senator Zanna was very vocal on issues about Boko Haram and the plight of the North East. He was aged 59. He is survived by wife and children. May his soul rest in peace Amen. |
| 10 year old suicide bomber strikes Damaturu, kills 5 Posted: 16 May 2015 10:17 AM PDT  According to eyewitnesses, the little girl tried gaining access into the park but was stopped by the security men stationed at the entrance who subjects anyone coming into the park to proper search. It was in the process of searching the little girl that the bomb strapped under her hijab detonated, killing her, a security officer who was about to search her and three others. Several others who were close by got injured. |

| LIB reader dies from cancer, her husband writes heartfelt letter (pics) Posted: 16 May 2015 03:42 AM PDT  Dear Linda, my wife Chinwe was a faithful LIB reader and really liked your demeanor and accomplishments. Unfortunately I lost her after a courageous battle to cancer at the Princess Margaret Hospital, Toronto in the early hours of Saturday, May 9th 2015. She passed away holding my hands peacefully. I and our 3 lovely kids mourn my soul-mate and their mom. Please may I share this story through your widely read blog with the rest of the world? She had hoped to meet you someday and I know through this she accomplishes that.May her soul rest in peace, Amen. What he wrote and many photos of late Chinwe after the cut... My Dear Chinwe Passes On" As hot knife is to butter, so was the shock of you transition to my heart. It hurts where very few understand. I called you 'babsie'.I knew you as an angel and our kids had you as a lovely mom. They look up to you. I am eternally grateful to my cousin Ogechi, who introduced us and nudged you along towards me. We had strong belief that a miracle was on the way. We encouraged each other likewise continually, but alas…….then that fateful day we stayed alone. We held hands tightly, encouraged each other and believed you were going to beat this. We talked. I forgave you. You forgave me. We prayed, praised and thanked God for everything. You cried. We continued holding hands then you went to sleep until you breathe your last that fateful morning at 5:44am. I remember the first love song I sang to you. You screamed, cried and hugged me.You taught me to follow a woman's intuitive instincts to man's understanding and now you are no more, who leads me on? We had our fights and quarrels but our love for one another always came through and greatly excels amongst others. Chinwe you epitomized kindness, gentleness, love ebbed out of you easily yet you were strong and fought heartily in whatever you believed in.You were a great wife, a nourisher of my heart and body and a wonderful lady to love. You loved me deeply and showed me how to love you. Literally you were a million in one. You were fun to be around with. I 'enjoyed' looking for your trouble. My partner and companion. You knew my deepest thoughts and secrets. You loved God, life and carried this family head-high. Chinwe you taught us as a good wife and mother as though you had lived in this world before. I guess an apple doesn't fall far from its tree. Your mother did well on you. We will forever cherish our every moments and your thoughts will always be on our hearts. I know now I have to be there for our kids and will endeavor to teach them your legacies and ideas. I can only depend on God now for strength and grace to forge ahead. Your memories will linger on always. 'Bubu' has a good understanding of this, Mona knows in her heart but can't verbalize it well and 'Tommy-tommy' cries about it. You left with a part of me and now I must figure out how to relate to your part in me. We miss your smiles, warmth, love, devotion and fun you bring to this family. I will love you always. Convictions are still open to appeal, even if the Grand Mufti gives his approval. Morsi's supporters have said that the cases against him are politically motivated and attempts to give legal cover to a coup, while Morsi has rejected the authority of the courts.
