Reply to the post that 'advised' women to keep 'it' for their husbands

Posted: 22 May 2015 01:10 PM PDT

This morning, a LIB reader advised young women to zip it until a man put's a ring on it. (Read here). Some of you didn't quite agree. This LIB reader has replied the advice. Read below...
To the person who was 'advising' women to keep themselves for their husbands. If you are in any way spiritual or even a christian, you should know that keeping yourself, along with keeping every other commandment of God is for the sake of God. Not because of another imperfect human being like you. And if your advice has any moral basis, it would apply to men too. I would be very insulted by your article if I were a man because it means nobody is holding me to any expectation. Is it only women who have the capacity of self control? Make no mistakes, I am very much in support of keeping ones self pure for marriage but at least bring other things apart from your hymen to the table when in a relationship.
What of preaching independence, good character and resourcefulness to ladies. I think that is what even the bible describes as a virtuous woman. (Prov 31:10-31). Whats even ironic is that no part of that bible verse talks about being a virgin. To make up for your oversight, I will put this out there to all the chaste women who have to deal with undeserving men. For that man that is trying to lure you in his bed with the excuse of, "I have to know if we are sexually compatible." Ask that evil man, If I sleep with you once and we find out we are sexually compatible, will you stop? (after all, that is what he wants to find out).
If we find out it is actually you, the man that has a problem, will you be nice enough to break up with me immediately because heaven forbid I be in a relationship with someone who is sexually incompatible with me, according to his theory. Even married couples develop problems in their sex life as the years go by and sane people work it out. Not ditch their spouse for someone else who is better in bed like that is what being in a relationship is all about. I totally agree sex is very important in a marriage and if a couple are spending time together building something strong and are compatible in every other respect, It is as good as impossible to become incompatible only sexually.
To all those men that are telling you that "I have to try a car before I buy it". Ask him, all these people around the world in messy marriages, did they not "test the car?" Men need to prove their worth better than by how many women they land in their beds because if owning a penis is your measure of being a man, you would be surprised how many human beings around the world actually own penises.
Women, be wise as serpents. Men these days are getting everything from women without even being in a relationship with them so being a virgin is not enough. Be on point in every aspect so you can attract men of worth and actually have sound advice to give your daughters later in life instead of something as silly as "Your husband that is supposed to meet the thing chacha (brand new) will now meet esha (yoruba name for rotten)." Since men have learned to shoot without missing, birds should learn to fly without perching. Enough said.

Sad! He should be in school...(photos)

From a LIB reader who saw the little boy...
I was on my way to a shop in the market at Eke Awka in Anambra state and I saw this little child sleeping. First thing that came to my mind was that this child is resting after hawking either satchet (pure) water or any other goods he was asked to sell and was sleeping in such an environment, whereas his peers are in the classrooms learning. These are our future leaders and musn't be pass through all these sufferings in this 21st century. Please help me lend a voice to all those that are concerned in the welfare of children in Nigeria that they should help stop this inhumane treatment against children...

Stop victimizing Fani-Kayode, Ile-Ife PDP warns NWC

Posted: 22 May 2015 12:39 PM PDT

Read the press statement below...
The leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Ile-Ife, home town of the Director of Media and Publicity of the party's Presidential Campaign Committee, Chief Femi Fani-Kayode has risen in strong defence of Fani-Kayode declaring that he remains a loyal member of the party in the town.
The chairman of the party in ward 05, Iremo, Ile-Ife, Rasheed Ojikuti while addressing a press conference in Ile-Ife yesterday said the party at the ward level was in support of Fani-Kayode, who he described as a committed and financial member of the party.
Also, the PDP leader warned members of the National Working Committee (NWC) of the party to stop victimizing the former Aviation Minister and allow him to remain in the party.

The PDP Leader noted that Fani-Kayode has contributed financially to the party at both the ward, local, state and national level, stressing that the commitment of the former Aviation Minister to the sustenance of the party in Ile-Ife and Osun state at large was unequivocal. It would be recalled that the National Working Committee of the PDP had through the National Secretary of the party, Professor Wale Oladipo directed the Osun state chairman of the party, Alhaji Ganiyu Olaoluwa to authenticate the membership status of Fani-Kayode.

However, Ojikutu recalled that Fani-Kayode was issued the party's membership card in Iremo ward 05 ward, Ile-Ife when he defected from the All Progressives Congress (APC) to the PDP, stressing that he has since been contributing well to the party at all levels. According to him "Chief Femi Fani-Kayode is a loyal and bona-fide member of the PDP.

He was issued a membership card of the party in our ward here in Ile-Ife, his home town when he returned to the party following relentless and intense pressure from us, and since then he has been contributing immensely and generously far above the statutory required levies, both in cash and in kind to the continued growth of our party at all levels."

He described the former Minister as a great pillar of support and beacon of light to the party in Ile-Ife and Osun state at large, adding that the contributions of Fani-Kayode to the PDP at national levels can also not be under-estimated. He added that "it came to us as a surprise that despite the immense and contributions of Chief Fani-Kayode to the PDP at all levels, the National Working Committee of the party is seeking disciplinary action against him just because he joined other great party leaders like Governor Ayo Fayose of Ekiti state in calling for NWC members to go home after leading the party to its worst election in its 16 years of history."

"We wonder why among all the people that raised similar issue, only Chief Fani-Kayode has been singled out for a planned sanction. Could this be a deliberate plan to victimize this great man and force him out of the party he labored so much for? If it is so, we assure Nigerians that we shall stand by Chief Femi Fani-Kayode and his likes to the end no matter the cost to our persons and offices. We abhor victimization, injustice and tyranny, and we shall prove this with all our strength and everything at our disposal in the coming days unless those concerned retrace their steps," he added.

The PDP stalwart maintained that "anyone from Ile-Ife who tries to embarrass our leaders, be it Chief Femi Fani-Kayode, Chief Iyiola Omisore or any other leader is a traitor and shall be treated as such." Meanwhile, a chieftain of the party in the South West, Mr Dare Adeleke has warned the NWC members of the party not to make Fani-Kayode a scape goat for challenging them, saying the statement made by the erstwhile Aviation Minister was in the interest of the party.

He noted that Fani-Kayode should be applauded for his courage rather than being victimized by the NWC. Adeleke who is a former Chairman, Caretaker Management committee of the party in Ondo state said "if Adamu Muazu could resign as the National Chairman of the party, and Chief Tony Anenihe could also resign as the Chairman, Board of Trustees of the party, there is nothing that stops other NWC members from resigning." He cautioned the leadership of the party against victimization of members, stressing that "this is not the best time for the PDP to victimize any of its members or witch hunt them."
