| Spectranet rebrands, now allows data rollover on its network Posted: 06 May 2015 01:33 PM PDT  Spectranet, Lagos-based internet service provider (ISP), has announced users on its platform can now rollover unused data from month to month. The company unveiled this offering while announcing a new brand logo for its services. Spectranet also announced its subscribers will get a minimum of 5GB free data for every new modem purchased on the network. Spectranet says the new add on its network is to mark the launch of the network's new logo.  "Our new logo is a hallmark of the new spirit, new soul and the new essence of Spectranet". Chief executive officer, David Venn, said. | Posted: 06 May 2015 01:32 PM PDT   My mother passed on unexpectedly but quite peacefully in her sleep and I want to thank all who have called, sent messages, and all her families everywhere. My mother was all love, love for people first, then Nigeria and everything about her language, people, culture, art, music and literature. She has always been the inspiration and driver for all that we do and it has been my eternal privilege to be her only son. It is impossible for me to discuss her in the past tense because I know she lives on within me and so many others She has always said how she would like to go when it was her time, peacefully with a smile on her face. I thank the good Lord for granting us that favour and sparing her any pain or trauma, that was reserved for us who she left behind. Goodnight Mum your work here is done and God bless and keep you amen. My younger sister Uju has been able to express what so many of us feel and one day maybe I too will be able to express myself in such beautiful language, thanks uju your words as always are pure poetry and pure love. Thanks everybody if I missed your call i apologise its a difficult time for all of us |

She said: "I am not doing this because I want to cause any problems, I want her to know that I love her and I want to find peace with her. "I forgave Oana a long time ago. If God has any reason to find fault with her based on anything she may have done with me, then I ask him not to hold it against her because I don't. "I love her and forgave her everything the moment she was born. My one final wish is that God may help us see each-other in good spirits in another life." To prove the point, Marioara's fortune, mainly inherited from a man that she married after Oana's natural father died and which is estimated to be worth around £47million, will all be left to Oana. The various investments include a private cemetery. Asked if she had considered changing her will Marioara said: "I only have one heir. How can I leave the money to anyone else but Oana? I've got a few stores, a warehouse and a few other things. It is all for her." The last time they spoke was in front of TV cameras when Oana had turned up at the hospital and had asked about her inheritance, and her mother had asked if she would stop treating her like a stranger. The appeal fell on deaf ears, and instead Oana had gone to a popular TV show dressed in the white transparent dress, where she showed her boobs to prove that she is proud of her body at the age of 41 and that her breasts looked good after her seventh boob job. Moreover, confronted with local fashion designer and critique Iulia Albu, Oana tried to mock her by wearing an extravagant but funny hat and taking off her panties. Hours later, at 9.30am, Marioara Zavoranu died. She only had one kidney and had been kept alive through medical devices for the past few days hoping for a deathbed reconciliation that never happened. | American locked up for a few minutes in Lagos court waiting cell for using her phone Posted: 06 May 2015 09:04 AM PDT  This apparently is not allowed in court and was noticed by the presiding judge who immediately registered her displeasure and ordered that Megan be escorted out of the court room and remanded in the court waiting cell. She was held up for 20 minutes in the court cell and later released after much plea from lawyers and judicial workers. Narrating what happened to LIB, Megan said...continue... "The incident happened at about 9am. I didn't know the rules of the court so I was replying an urgent message. It was not like I wanted to disrespect the court. The incident today only made me know the rules of the Nigerian law court. I was later invited by the Judge to her chambers and she accepted my apology. The prison officials were also nice" she said |

Patrick Anegbe said in his speech that the gesture was a way of identifying with the progress of the community. He added that it was IDL's hope that the project would go a long way in improving the standard of education in that area. , His Royal Highness, Oba Samuel Ojugbele the Oba of Ilogbo, during the handover of the project, said it was a dream come true for him and he could not have wished for a better birthday gift. He further added that before this gesture by IDL, students were sometimes as many as 100 in a class, but with the completion of the new block of classrooms, pressure would be eased from the existing structures. He thanked the organization for the love it had shown and urged other companies to emulate gesture. Master Afolabi Samuel a JSS 2 student who could not but express his happiness said the building was the best in the compound, he added that the students were constantly sweating in class because of the overcrowding but with this new block all that would be history. The Chairman of the Ogun State Teaching Service, Otunba Timothy Adebowale asked the students to take advantage of the new learning facilities to better themselves.
