Yesterday, the official portrait of the new First Lady, Mrs Aisha Buhari was released and some think the new president has already broken a promise.

Paris puts an end to romance, bans lovelocks, to remove all existing ones

Sorry romantic lovers heading to Paris, the Love Lock Tradition is about to be wiped out. The city of Paris has decided that to end the tradition of tourists coming over and dumping bits of metal all over its bridges, starting from Monday, the padlocks will be removed from the Pont Des Arts & plexiglass panels will soon replace the grills. The Pont Des Arts has been the most popular bridge with up to 1 million locks thought to be attached to the railings. The City has however had enough.
According to the council in charge, the locks are causing 'a lasting degradation of the heritage of Paris and also a risk to the safety of visitors.

This is somehow Justifiable because a part of the 'Pont Des Arts' collapsed sometime ago due to the weight of metals attached in the name of love.

11 killed as military foil Boko Haram invasion into Maiduguri

A family of five and 6 other individuals were among those who were killed in a gun battle between Boko Haram members and Nigerian troops in Dala, Borno state yesterday May 29th.

According to reports, the terrorist, who came in their numbers, had tried to invade Maiduguri, the Borno state capital but met a strong resistance from the troops stationed in the area. Many residents were seriously injured as they tried running to safety. The troops repelled the attack.

The accident happened this afternoon in front of Area 1 shopping complex Garki Abuja, A Keke driver in high speed in an attempt to dodge an incoming car, jumped over the barricade on the road, throwing away the occupants in the process. Of the four occupants of the Keke, two escaped unhurt, the driver sustained a minor wound, while the only lady in the Keke couldn't work due to the injury sustained and was helped by the bystanders to a car and was taken to the hospital.

2 volunteer security guards (pictured above) are being hailed as heroes for stopping an ISIS suicide bomber reaching worshipers at a mosque in Saudi Arabia yesterday.

Independent UK reports; 
Two young men who reportedly stopped an Isis suicide bomber entering a mosque in Saudi Arabia are being hailed as heroes after being killed when he blew himself up. 
The friends, named as Mohammed Hassan Ali bin Isa and Abdul-Jalil al-Arbash, died after reportedly turning the attacker away from the Imam Hussein mosque in Dammam yesterday. Eyewitnesses claim the man was disguised as a woman and tried to enter through a closed female entrance before going to the main gate, where the pair were manning a civilian checkpoint.

 They saved a lot of lives by stopping the bomber from getting inside the mosque," a local man, who asked to remain anonymous, told Middle East Eye. "They are both heroes."

They chased the suicide bomber when he tried to enter the women's section of the mosque in the south entrance," he added.Abdul-Jalil was reportedly 25 and had recently returned from studying at university in the US, getting married just days ago.

One of the men's mothers, Kowther al-Arbash, is a high-profile writer for Saudi newspaper al-Jazira, Middle East Eye reported.
Photos of the pair were circulating on social media today, with people calling them heroes and "martyrs".
Videos also emerged claiming to show the fathers of both men praising their sons' heroism.

A video from inside the al-Anoud mosque showed the moment the explosion was heard outside, with prayers being interrupted by a huge blast that shook the building, causing people to jump to their feet and shout in the ensuing panic.

Actor turned politician Desmond Elliot took to his twitter account today to reveal he's being sexually harassed by a gay man named Steve. This is the same person who has been accused of harassment by a few actors including Yul Edochie. What Desmond wrote after the cut...


 Okay a subject matter at hand. In the last 7 months or so, I have been constantly harassed by a man named Steve I have asked him politely, harassed him, spoken to him cursed him out just for him to desist from his sexual advances toward me but all to no avail..
His constant stalking and harassment I believe has been witnessed by some of my male colleagues in the film industry.I told him 2weeks ago that if he didn't stop I'll be forced to take it out, my phone lines, I have to put off cos he calls every second of the day, ALL LINES, my watts app is bombarded with photos of his past love life and the very second you block his number he generates another and the unending calls continues. He is based in Canada, Igbo name I believe is Onyebuchi.. 
I have called my Canadian friends to help out.. the Canadian police have called many times, one lucky time he was asked to stop but I believe that's the best they can do. please my people who are lawyers how do I go around this.. A humble plea. I believe there must be someone who knows him or heard about him because this guy isn't new at all.. He's taken my number to Many sites and I get calls from everywhere asking to connect for things am alien too.

A guy named Emeka Mbadiwe sent in the story, alleging that his cousin tried to kidnap and kill his brother, Chika Mbadiwe (pictured above in the hospital after the incident). Read story below...
These are the faces of Otiti Mbadiwe (nephew of Ozumba Mbadiwe, the great politician who was named after the longest Street in V. I) and his accomplice known as Arinze aka Arewa who on the 27th of May 2015, tried to kidnap and murder his cousin (my younger brother Chika Mbadiwe) who accommodated him at his residence in Abuja. Otito visited my brother on the said date, only for him to lay an ambush for him.
His cousin who unknowingly came back from work, only to meet OTITO and his accomplice at home. Surprised to see a strange face at his residence at such a forbidden hour of the night, asked OTITO to introduce his friend. Immediately they pounced on him, beating and clubbing him with a hammer like object. They tied him to a chair and covered his face with a duvet.

His friend insisted they kill his cousin outrightly, but OTITO said they should demand for a random before killing him. OTITO brought out a big knife and was about to stab his cousin to death. In quote, his cousin said "OTITO so you want to kill me". As OTITO was about to stab his cousin in the heart, his cousin moved, as the knife pierced his arm. While tied to a chair, he struggled and partially stood up while OTITO kept stabbing him. OTITO 's friend was strangling him from behind.

His cousin had to pin OTITO to the wall, while he managed to hit OTITO's accomplice with his right hand that he managed to set free. OTITO stabbed his cousin about seven times, socked in his own blood his cousin kept shouting for help. OTITO and his accomplice stole his money, laptop, and other valuables including his ash coloured Toyota camry muscle with plate no RBC612MQ Abuja. They drove off, while his cousin managed to get help from neighbours.

His cousin is recuperating in the hospital. PLEASE INFORM THE AUTHORITIES IF YOU SEE ANY OF THESE KILLERS/KIDNAPPERS. Avoid OTITO and share this message to save a life.

Pres. Buhari leaves guests at inaugural lunch to attend Jumat service

Pres. Buhari yesterday Friday May 29th left some African leaders and other guests who had moved with him from the Eagles Square to the new Banquet Hall of the Presidential Villa to celebrate his inauguration, midway into the programme to attend Jumat service. When he didn't return after many hours, organizers of the event had to invite VP Osinbajo to make remarks on behalf of Buhari.
Osinbajo, in his remarks, apologised to the guests for the President's absence. He explained that he left in order to take part in Jumat prayers. The President did not return to the venue before the programme ended. The vice-president thanked the African leaders for attending the inauguration."On behalf of the people of Nigeria and most especially on behalf of the President, I thank you and wish you safe journey back home."
The vice-president later saw the African leaders off on behalf of the President before being driven away in his official car." Punch reports

Actor Ben Affleck and his wife actress Jennifer Garner and their children were spotted out and about in LA on Thursday looking like a loving family but Radar Online is reporting that Ben wants to divorce Jennifer. 
"Ben and his team have definitely been engaging divorce attorneys. He's positioning for a divorce. Right now, it's just coming up with a strategy and whether or not it makes sense for Ben to do it quietly and jointly so there is no battle, or to do it on his own. Former President Jonathan said during his reception in Bayelsa yesterday that before he became deputy governor of the state, he had no interest in politics. Narrating how he dabbled into politics, Jonathan said,
"It all started with me and Chief Diepreye Alamieyeseigha. I knew Alamieyeseigha when he wanted to contest the governorship of Bayelsa State under the defunct United Nigeria Congress Party. That was the first time I knew Alamieyeseigha. We formed groups in every local governments – two persons to sign petition to enable Alamieyeseigha to contest. But a late Chief Judge asked me and one person from Ogbia to sign the petition. Even though I was a civil servant, I signed the document. I was in the Oil Mineral Producing Areas Development Commission then. Of course, when he started his campaign, I joined.

"Not because I was interested in any elective office, but what drove me into joining Alamieyeseigha's team was that those of us from very small communities always have problems and sometimes you have to run to government for assistance. I felt that if I worked with him and luckily he won, I would know some of the people in government.
"When electioneering started after Abdusalami Abubakar took over, Alamieyeseigha did not call me. But somewhere along the line because we had worked together, one evening, one Bozimo and another person came to my house and asked me to run with Alamieyeseigha as deputy governor.
"I was living in Port Harcourt then and I knew how primaries work and I said I would think about it. In fact, the following day, I told Bozimo that I was not interested, but the whole thing changed later. The detail will come later. That was how Bozimo and Alamieyeseigha brought me in and during the election, we won.
"From 1999 to date, my people and Nigerians have given me rare opportunity, rare privilege. I was deputy governor, governor, vice-president and President of the country. I am grateful to all Nigerians."
"Nigerians have given me so much that I cannot stay back. That is why I maintain that we need peace in this country. We need development in this country. Political crises don't bring development. And I believe the new administration will work with all Nigerians and make sure Nigerians are happy. I am indeed happy about the statement the President made that he did not belong to any clique, but to Nigerians. I congratulate him for that." (Punch)

Singer Madonna was slammed by fans after appearing to make reference to her 14 year old son's eggplant in an Instagram post. A few days ago, she uploaded a video of her son Rocco Ritchie doing a backflip in a garden while wearing a pair of bright orange boxer briefs and wrote;
"Rocco's preferred profile #nosausage,"
Some laughed but others thought it was wildly inappropriate and really insulted her. Is there anything wrong in what she said? #nosausage is the issue here...

Bruce Jenner who stepped out recently in blonde hair is set is set to pose for Vanity Fair magazine as a woman according to reports. The unveiling of Bruce as a woman will appear on Vanity Fair either in the June or July issue, which will make it his first photo-shoot and interview since officially coming out as transgender in the Diane Sawyer interview.

According to People magazine, Bruce - the woman - will be photographed by famed photographer Annie Leibovitz for the cover.
