Student with same name as lecturer trolls classmate

A student with the same name as his university lecturer didn't hold back when a classmate emailed him by mistake. Mark McKenna, a sports coaching student at the University of West Scotland, received a message from a fellow undergraduate explaining why he had missed a lecture. While the sensible thing would obviously have been to inform the sender of his error, the prankster decided to have a little fun instead. What he wrote after the cut...


"Hi Mark, sorry I wasn't in today for the coaching science lecture, all of the trains were cancelled going to Hamilton West due to the weather," the email said. He promptly replied: "I don't care if the trains were cancelled, I expect u [you] to be at every class even if the weather is terrible. "Asda are doing great deals on tents at the moment, maybe you should buy one and camp outside the lecture hall for next time. "Unauthorised absences aren't good enough."

Tarila, the daughter of Charles Okah, the alleged mastermind of the October 1st 2010 bomb blast in Abuja, is set to walk down the aisle with her fiance, Domenico Morrone. She recently took Domenico to see her father at Kuje prison where he blessed their union. Speaking on her meeting with her dad, Tarila said;


"Oh… my goodness (laugh). It was overwhelming, especially for my sister. She is younger, she just turned 18. When we saw him, we just started crying because we saw our father in a totally different light. That is not the man, let me rephrase, that is not the circumstance or the situation anyone wants to see his or her father. That was the first time my fiancé was meeting him as well. That is not the way you want to take your future husband to meet your father. That is not how you want to get your father's blessing for your marriage. I am seeing him in a completely different light. Deep down inside, I know the man that he is. I know these are trumped up charges. That gives me peace. Obviously, a lot of people have judged him, condemned him even without knowing anything but he is my father and we know him. We know the kind of man that he is. He is jovial. He is a very lovely man. He puts people above him. We are talking about a man who made emergency rescue in the country like it is his mission. A man who will stop people in the middle of the street and tell them you don't need to have your child in the front seat, move him to the back. A man who was supplying dialysis machine, putting health and concerns of Nigerians above all; a man who took it on himself to save lives in Nigeria, covering a lot of accidents. You now come and accuse such a man of being responsible for a terrorist attack. When we got to the prison and they told us to write his offence as terrorism, I couldn't."she told the Nation

French authorities released a photo of Abdeslam Salah, who may have been involved in the Friday night terror attacks in Paris. The 26-year-old was born in Brussels, Belgium. Police said "please do not take action yourself" and to contact authorities with any information about his location, as he is considered dangerous.

Is this weird or cute? Identical twins Dinker and Dilraj Varikkasery married another set of identical twins Reena & Reema, in a ceremony officiated by identical twin priests, Rezi & Roy Manaparambil. The couple also had identical twin bridesmaids and pageboys. The 32-year-old men, who had been inseparable all through school, university and even went on to work in the company, decided as teenagers that they could only marry identical twins. They set about finding identical twins and it took them five years to find their wives, both nurses. The wives were also hunting for twin grooms.


"When we met Reena and Reema, we knew it was them we were looking for all this while. Fortunately, they also had the similar feeling after meeting us," Dilraj told the Mail Online "We had to keep searching the suitable boys for three years in a row. When we saw Dilraj and Dinker we nodded yes to each other. It was a wonderful experience." Reina said.
There were a total of seven sets of twins at the wedding ceremony.

Former Edo state governor, Lucky Igbinedion has replied Governor Adams Oshiomole who a few days ago accused him, and his billionaire father, Gabriel Igbinedion of converting state properties to their family use while he, Lucky, was governor of the state. In a statement released and signed himself yesterday November 14th, Igbinedion said Oshiomole is the biggest thief in Edo state as of today. He refuted allegations of corruption, stating that documents pertaining to his tenure as governor of the state were open for public scrutiny. He said Oshiomole should explain to residents of the state what he has done with trillions of federal and state allocations he has collected over the years ...


"I have made it very clear time without numbers that the files of my tenure are there for everybody who cares to ask to check. I do not intend to dignify Adams Oshiomhole any longer by joining issue with him. He should explain to the people of Edo State how he spent the federal allocations and internal generated revenues running into trillions naira in seven years. He should tell the people of Edo how much he is paying as land tax for his house in Iyamho worth over N10bn and other properties he has acquired in the last seven years in Dubai, Cape Town in South Africa, in San Francisco, United States of America, a high rise apartment in Atlanta also in America and in London. He is calling everybody a thief but Oshiomhole is the biggest thief in Benin City today. Oshiomhole has failed; the people of Edo State now know him better. Oshiomhole is the least qualified person to talk about corruption in the country today because his actions and programmes in the last seven years in Edo State epitomise corruption. He has called everybody in Nigeria a thief; has called former President Olusegun Obasanjo a thief; called former President Goodluck Jonathan a thief, he called (ex-Minister of Finance, Ngozi) Okojo-Iweala a thief, and others. Yet, he cannot prove his cases. I don't think he knows the meaning of a thief. He lives in the glass house and throwing stones. President Muhammadu Buhari will soon find out the real Oshiomhole by the time we provide documents against him"the statement read

Following claims made by Chairman of DAAR Communications, Chief Raymond Dokpesi, that the candidacy of Goodluck Jonathan was an error, Doyin Okupe took to his Facebook page to react to the 'fallacy'. The former spokesperson to Goodluck Jonathan said the only error made by PDP was by not sacking the immediate Chairman of the INEC, Prof. Attahiru Jega.
"The impression created in the media recently that the candidacy of Goodluck Jonathan was an error is itself a grand fallacy which totally undermined the whole truth about the sanctity and correctness of the wisdom of the PDP National Executive Committee which made and ratified that decision.
All over the World, when an incumbent signifies intention for a second term, it is customary that the established machinery of the party wholly backs and gratifies such intentions. If any error was made, it was firstly the failure of the PDP administration to sack the unfair and compromised electoral Officer who was allowed to conduct the election in spite of his obvious and profuse partisanship. The second error was the inexplicable acquiescence of the PDP government to the use of the infamous Card Reader which was skilfully manipulated to the disadvantage of the PDP presidential candidate. The third error of the PDP was to have fielded a good, God fearing and patriotic man who in spite of his enormous power, the avalanche of deployable arsenal of war at his disposal, transformed himself to be the victim and refused to fight so that his countrymen may live and his Nation survived. The situation in Burundi today is highly instructive. Certainly history will treat Goodluck Jonathan as one of the greatest Heroes of this generation of African Leaders. Definitely not an error by any stretch of imagination. I speak today not as a spokesman for President Jonathan. An episode and a proud chapter of my life which has since come to a Close. Rather I speak as a student of History and a veritable stakeholder in the Nigerian project,"

Swansea City forward Andre Ayew was on Saturday morning named as one of five players shortlisted for the prestigious 2015 BBC African Footballer of the Year award and this year it seems he is the overwhelming favorite for the award. Algeria's Yacine Brahimi, the 2014 winner, is on the shortlist along with Gabon's Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Ghanaian Andre Ayew, Senegal's Sadio Mane and Yaya Toure of Ivory Coast.

The winner will be decided by African football fans, who have until 18:00 GMT on 30 November to vote for their choice. Andre Ayew won the award in 2011 with Yaya Toure also winning it in 2013.

The eventual winner will be announced on December 11 2015.

Kourtney Kardashian and her estranged baby daddy Scott Disick, who recently came out from rehab, were spotted together Friday night for the first time publicly since their breakup in July.

According to TMZ, the two were in Malibu celebrating the release of celeb pastor Rich Wilkerson Jr's new book. In a video from the party, the two were seen standing together. Justin Bieber, Patrick Schwarzenegger and Omarion were also at the event. Happy they sorted things out...at least enough to be in the same room.

City clothier Seyi Obayanju dies at age 45

Seyi Obayanju, CEO of popular clothing outfit Swob, has died. He died on Monday 9th November after a brief illness. He was just 45 years old. He is survived by wife Motunrayo and three children. May his soul rest in peace, amen.
