| Social media has a way of dominating one's life - Kate Henshaw on why she may leave twitter Posted: 11 Sep 2015 11:53 AM PDT  "A few days ago, I wanted to send out a tweet but to my surprise found that my account had been suspended. One of the processes required to unsuspend my account was to write an appeal. Appeal? When I had done nothing wrong??! Also one required that I add my phone number.. I tried to.....it told me I had not put in a valid phone number.. At this point I gave up. A few friends reached out to me because as far as I was concerned, I am blameless in this whole saga. I decided to leave it to them to decide to restore the account on their own because I was sure nothing wrong was done on my part....definitely!!Anyway, so today I tried again and was sent this message of apology which also included warning me to behave... Na wa..For the love of my fans, my work and brands that I represent I followed the instructions and presto, account back on.If in the future you dont see me on Twitter anymore, it will be that an incident like this has occurred again and I have let it go. Social media has a way of trying to dominate one's life as we advance in technology. There has to be a balance. It will not rule mine. Have a lovely weekend dears. Hugs.  |

| The Audrey Silva Company release official trailer for 'Suru l'ere' Posted: 11 Sep 2015 11:37 AM PDT  Set in Lagos, the movie depicts the life of a young, timid graduate desperate to overcome his financial woes. The protagonist ARINZE played by upcoming talent Seun Ajayi meets ambitious and beautiful OMOSIGHO (Beverly Naya) by chance and it sets off a chain of events that force him to explore a "get rich quick" idea. "This film is funny but it also shows the viewer how hard it is to make a decent living in our country" states the director of the film Mildred Okwo. "Our brand of comedy is conscientious. We want you to laugh, love and above all learn." Suru l' ere (Patience Pays) was written by young screenwriter Richard Odilu who met the director on social media network, Twitter. "I am grateful that TASC is taking a chance on a young writer and I am very excited to see the script come alive" states the writer. The film is packed with many young talented actors like Lala Akindoju, AMVCA winner Tope Tedela, Enyinna Nwigwe and Gregory Ojefua. Interestingly; producer Rita Dominic makes a noteworthy cameo appearance joined by Linda Ejiofor, Kenneth Okolie and Bikiya Graham Douglas. |

| Chris Brown wins! Gets 50/50 custody of his daughter, Royalty Posted: 11 Sep 2015 11:31 AM PDT  Chris Brown just scored an enormous victory in his child custody war with his baby mama ... he got joint custody of Royalty, and he gets to take Royalty home today. Brown and Nia Guzman squared off in a Houston court Friday morning. She not only wanted to deny Chris any custodial rights, she also only wanted to give him supervised visitation. The judge disagreed and we've learned Chris and Nia will share 50/50 physical custody, with Royalty going back and fourth every 4 days. Both Chris and Nia now live in L.A. And Chris, who was in court represented by Mark Geragos, scored another victory. The judge ordered him to pay Nia $2,500 a month in child support, which is exactly what he's been paying her. She wanted $15k. The judge also ordered Nia not to talk crap on Chris and not reveal anything about the case on social media. |

| Man jailed 14 years in Lagos for defiling neigbour’s daughter Posted: 11 Sep 2015 09:32 AM PDT  This sexual molestation of young children is becoming too much. Parents please be more vigilant. An Ikeja Magistrates' Court today sentenced a 25 year old unemployed man named Ogboru Godspower, to 14 years in jail for defiling a 13-year-old daughter of his neighbour in Ikorodu. The prosecutor, Jimah Iseghede, told the court that the grave offence was committed on Aug. 8 at the rapist's residence. The young girl was going to take her bath when the accused waylaid her, removed her towel & defiled her according to a report by Vanguard. A neighbour who saw the accused in the act quickly alerted other neighbours and he was arrested. The Chief Magistrate, Mr Tajudeen Elias, sentenced the rapist after he pleaded guilty to the offence. He said, 'The accused is hereby sentenced to 14 years imprisonment to serve as deterrent to others and to reform him to be a law abiding citizen.' |
| KTQ 3 Outdoor Grill Team Challenge Posted: 11 Sep 2015 09:20 AM PDT   They were to create a good meal complemented by a grill item and dessert.The celebrity judges were Francis Ebie, DJ Caise, Wanawana, Noble Igwe, UcheUkonuwho were to assess the taste of the food prepared by the contestants alongside our master chefs and audience. The contestants were divided into two (2) teams and the intriguing moment was when the contestants selected their partners through an Ingredient Matching Test. Team one comprised of Victor, Jeremy, Yemisi, OnisarotuwhileDapo, Davies, Balogun and Hauwa were members of team two.The two teams were given one hour, thirty-five minutes for the task using compulsory ingredients which included water melon, meat, melon seed popularly known as Egusi, catfish and coffee. While the teams were cooking, fans were given the opportunity to win vouchers from Shoprite and Total Gaz through a quiz session. At the end of the task, the audience and judges were told to cast their votes in two separate bowls representing the two teams. After counting the votes, team two was declared winner of the task with 14 votes as against the secondteam which had 10 votes. The winning team was awarded, voucher from Shoprite and Total Gaz whilethe sum of twenty thousand naira was to be shared amongst the team members. The contestants in the second team felt some level of uneasiness when Dr Roberts and Chef Fregz authorized them to pick the weakest link in the group.Yemisi was nominated as the weakest link, and this placed her on probation. | Chris Brown is asking a judge to force his baby mama to 'shut her trap' Posted: 11 Sep 2015 08:18 AM PDT  "Chris wants the courts to do his dirty work -- as in, force baby mama Nia Guzman to quit bad mouthing him and talking about his fathering skills, or lack thereof, in public.  Royalty's mom and dad have had very public beefs -- most recently when each accused the other of putting Royalty in dangerous situations. Sources close to Guzman say she thinks the gag order is a joke, since she only blasts Chris when he starts with her. Also on the table today -- custody time (he wants 50/50), and monthly child support (she wants $15k/month instead of $2,500/month). This case won't be quick and easy. As one source put it, "It's gonna get nasty."  |
