Considering an education abroad? Think Canada Posted: 15 Sep 2015 09:35 AM PDT Think Vancouver. Think FIC and SFU Why Canada? Wendy Williams' teen son goes to rehab over synthetic weed use Posted: 15 Sep 2015 09:15 AM PDT During her Hop Topics segment yesterday, talk show host Wendy Williams opened up about her 14-year-old son Kevin Hunter Jr.'s struggle with synthetic marijuana. Below is what she said; "So the most important thing that happened this summer, which was a life-changing thing for the Hunter family, is our son was made exposed to synthetic marijuana and he was exposed by a loved one who he looked up to. It's one of those pens where you don't see the smoke and you don't smell anything." "I was duped. Our kid had been smoking this mess. He got turned out...to the point where he went off the rails for a moment." "The reason that we, me and my husband and my son, we are choosing to share this with you, this is not a surprise to any of us. We've had several family meetings over the summer and it was so hard for me to be on the road because Kevin and Kevin Jr. were not there with me and I'm trying to make funny on the tour, but in actuality my heart is breaking and my son could've been dead." "To the parents and guardians watching right now, just talk to your kids. This synthetic marijuana, there was only like 2 percent THC in it. The rest was of it was factory manufactured mess. Fortunately, Kevin has two parents who took harness of the thing. We took him out of the country for holistic treatment. We didn't want to pump him up with psychiatric drugs and all that other kind of mess. I'm glad to say our boy is on the good side of good now." |

Photo: Meet this 64-year-old virgin Posted: 15 Sep 2015 07:25 AM PDT Ngipheni from KwaMafunze in Pietermaritzburg, South Africa is a virgin at 64. She had to remain a virgin because that was the only way to participate in reed dance, a yearly dance/cultural activity for their king, Goodwill Zwelithini's called umkhosi womhlanga. She has been part of the reed dance since she was a teenager. "Before we go to the ceremony, our guardians test us to make sure that we are still virgins. This is because the ceremony is only for virgins," she said.Although still a virgin, Ngipheni said she has longed for sex before. "The only way I could deal with the longing was by remembering my parents' advice. Longing for sex is natural if you are a human being." She said during her younger days, she used to have many boys proposing love to her. "I wanted to remain innocent so I turned them down." Ngipheni also revealed that she had a boyfriend once who later became her fiance. "In our days our fiances never rushed us into having sex. They respected us. I separated with my fiance because he cheated"Ngipheni added that she was happy that she's safe from sexually transmitted diseases. She stresses that she is not saying young women should stay away from sex and marriage. "If you have sex do it responsibly. Do it after marriage. Once you are married, ask your partner to go for an HIV test before you engage in sex. This will reduce the number of people with HIV and teenage pregnancy." Ngipheni's guardian, Zithobile Mbhele, said she has been working with her for more than 30 years. "She is a good influence on young women in the area. We are proud of her. She has never missed umkhosi womhlanga"" said Zithobile. |

My husband Imoh and I got married in 2013 but less than 6 months later he was involved in a ghastly auto accident along Lag-Ibadan express. He suffered severe trauma to the head and has been in a coma since. Initially he was given a 50% chance of recovery but now 2 years later and after spending all our savings doctors are now claiming there is virtually no hope of recovery and are now trying to force me to sign release forms to unplug the life support machine and terminate his life. The deadline is this Friday 18th of September 2015. What would you advise someone in this situation? Fortunately Muna and Imoh are fictional characters in the film "Falling" (#FallingTheMovie) scheduled to premiere on the 18th September 2015 in cinemas across the Nigeria. APC denies abandoning 90yr old woman who gave N1m for Buhari's campaign Posted: 15 Sep 2015 06:57 AM PDT APC has denied abandoning 90 year old Hajia Fadimatu Mai Talle Tara, the old woman who donated her N1 million savings to the Buhari campaign organization. This is in reaction to a Facebook post by one Idis Kuringafa who shared photos of Hajia Tara and said she is down with partial stroke and had been abandoned by the party. In a statement released today by Lai Mohammed, APC said since Hajia Tara was diagnosed with partial stroke, she had been on admission at the Sir Yahaya General Hospital in Birnin Kebbi with all her medical bills being taking care off by the Kebbi state governor. "When she was discharged from the hospital after 10 days, she was taken to her home town of Koko, where she has been under the care of the resident medical officer, Dr. Kola, who reviews her condition and ensures she gets physiotherapy, in addition to being in constant touch with the Consultant in Birnin Kebbi, Dr. Abubakar Dakingari. The Kebbi State Government has also approved 4 million Naira for her and her attendant doctor to travel to Dubai for further treatment, but she has been too weak to travel. Since Haj Maitalle returned to her home in Koko, the Governor, the First Lady and Sen. Aliero have been in touch with her. The First Lady has personally visited her three times, the Governor and Sen. Aliero once each and the House of Representatives member from her constituency over four times. We have gone to this great length to provide full details of Haj. Maitalle's condition in order to give Nigerians the correct information about her situation. We do not know what informed the wicked, irresponsible and downright deceitful story that the delightful woman has been abandoned even after she gave her life earnings in support of Buhari's presidential campaign. The story of Haj. Maitalle's purported abandonment is a figment of the imagination of the fellow who wrote it," the statement read |

Two Fathers narrate how they lost two of their children in Jos school building collapse Posted: 15 Sep 2015 06:39 AM PDT Fathers of two of the victims of the Jos school building collapse which happened over the weekend have spoken out about losing their children. Rabiu Hussaini Dogon-Driver whose 6year old daughter, Hajara, (left) was killed in the incident, said his little girl had actually brought him water to drink that Sunday afternoon before she proceeded to join her other siblings at the Islamic school where they took their Quaranic lessons. "Hajara brought me water to drink around 4pm and after that I told her to join her four siblings to go to the Islamiyya, but it was my last moment with her." he told DailytrustRabiu said he had gone to see a friend when he got information that the building where his children were being taught had collapsed. "I rushed there and found many people trying to rescue children from the rubble but I could not find my kids, later I found the oldest and a few minutes later the other one was also found unhurt. By evening, all my children except Hajara were safe and I knew in my heart that she was no more, I knew she was dead", he added. He said although Hajara was the first to be removed from the rubble, it was not until 8pm that her couple was recovered as they did not know where it was deposited "My relatives had gone round hospitals in Jos city but could not find her until we went into a nearby clinic and on sighting her toes, because she was covered in dust, one of our relatives identified her and she was buried on yesterday (Monday)," he saidAnother man, Muhammadu Danyaya also recounted how he lost his 8 year old son, Musa, in the incident. He said three of his sons were in the school when the building collapsed. "They were not supposed to go to school that day because they had been chased away for school fees but that morning, the principal saw me and asked me to send them to school and I did. I heard a loud sound and saw the dust but I didn't know it was at the school until I saw people running towards the area. Thank God I got there in time to rescue my two other sons but I was too late for the other one because he was buried in the rubble for about two and half hours. I found my oldest son in the rubble, his legs were trapped. We were able to use a shovel to rescue him. My youngest was still on another part of the first floor of the building and as that part was crumbling, he jumped and I was able to grab him," he said |

BMW's chief executive faints on stage as he tried to unveil new car (photos) Posted: 15 Sep 2015 06:08 AM PDT BMW Chief executive, Harald Krueger, 49, fainted just five minutes into his press conference this morning at the Frankfurt auto show where he was to present the car giant's new electric hybrid. The high-powered executive staggered backwards slightly before falling over. He looked stunned as he lay on the ground holding his head with his hands. The show's commentator said to the crowd: 'I'm a bit lost for words. BMW will try to redo the press conference at a later stage.' Krueger was helped from the stage by two assistants and seen by a doctor, following his 'moment of dizziness'. It is understood that Mr Krueger was feeling unwell before taking to the stage. Dear LIB readers; I don't understand my husband's obsession with sex toys Posted: 15 Sep 2015 05:56 AM PDT From a female LIB reader I love my husband and the sex is good! My only problem is his obsession with sex toys. Whenever we are making love, he uses all kinds of toys on me. He can use sex toys for a whole hour and the sex where he uses his manhood is all under 5 minutes. Whenever we travel, he visits sex toys and buys all kinds and they are all to be used on a woman and nothing for a man. I'm worried about this. I would rather intimacy with my husband than all these gadgets and instruments he likes to use on me. I'm worried about bringing it up as I do not want to upset him. |
