Here is what he had to say about President Buhari (by the way, this episode will be airing again tonight, Monday September 14th at 7:30PM on AIT):  "The moment he [President Buhari] saw me he said, Chief Adesina, welcome to Sambisa house. We had a good laugh then we got to talking seriously. He said to me, what I want from you on this job is the truth. At all times tell me the truth. You know I'm a general, I may argue, but please argue with me. If you come up with a superior argument I will see reason." Mr. Adesina further stated, "this is not an administration where you tell the president what he wants to hear, this is one he has requested for the truth and that is the way we relate with him. | 24-year-old mother arrested for keeping her children in a crate, in an underground cave Posted: 14 Sep 2015 08:35 AM PDT  According to AP, Jackson County detectives discovered the 4- and 6-year-old children on Thursday in the 8-by-10-foot crate furnished with vehicle bench seats, two small blankets, trash and thin wires. According to the probable cause statement, the crate was missing one side and surrounded by car parts and vehicles in various states of disrepair. The investigators, who went to the cave to serve a search warrant related to a possible stolen car operation, noted that the children did not appear frightened by them or the fact that they were alone. The 4-year-old child was using hands to eat a dirty, dry cup of ramen noodles, a detective wrote. When asked why they weren't wearing any shoes, the children responded that they didn't have any. The older child told officers he should be in first grade but did not go to school. The children were taken to Children's Mercy Hospital where they were evaluated, bathed and given clean clothes. Their mother told investigators that her children had been living in the cave for several days and admitted to have left them there alone. She was taken into custody on Friday afternoon and is yet to appear in court. |

| Airport woman who returned money gets her first salary (photo) Posted: 14 Sep 2015 07:59 AM PDT  "You remember a few weeks ago when I posted the picture I took with that honest lady who returned N17 million she found at the toilet of the Lagos International Airport? You remember I had said someone had asked me to go fish her out for a reward? You remember this person promised to pay her salary every month for one year?Well, upon his return from his trip, this man (he has chosen to remain anonymous) sent me the sum of N50,000 which represents the amount he has committed to pay Josephine every month for the next one year. But interestingly, just as we were driving with her from the airport, a lady working at the toll plaza got interested when Josephine insisted I was not going to pay the toll fee. She showed her ID card which the lady at the gate claimed did not prove she was a staff. When I mentioned she was the lady that returned those millions, the Toll Plaza girl lit up and informed her someone had been looking for her to give her a scholarship that will enable her improve her education. | No immunity in government house, APC tells Fayose Posted: 14 Sep 2015 07:10 AM PDT  "Let us educate Fayose that a Government House is not the same as foreign embassies or missions that enjoy physical immunity from security activities by local armed forces. While a governor enjoys immunity from physical and body security search, the same cannot be said of the Government House because no law in the nation's constitution says the Government House should be a breeding ground for insurrection and insurgency where state enemies can assemble arms to topple a legitimate government and we suspect Fayose as an accomplice in the arms stockpiling saga in the Akwa Ibom Government House, otherwise there is no reason for him to be edgy and agitated in his response. We know why Fayose is blackmailing DSS in this matter. Ekiti Government House is home to thugs and criminal elements armed to the teeth that the governor has been using against the opposition. They were used on massive scale during the last elections to attack the opponents. As we speak, they are still lodged in the Government House where they take off at nights to rob and kidnap innocent Ekiti people. We never had this kind of experience for four years of Governor Kayode Fayemi until Fayose started his campaign with importation of criminals that have been stalking the state residents. We call on DSS to be alert to its responsibilities of maintaining internal cohesion and security integrity across the country and should comb everywhere, including the Aso Rock if need be, to ensure that no man in authority constitutes himself as a security risk to the nation's unity |
