Posted: 10 May 2016 12:35 PM PDT A devastated family is seeking for answer and justice seven months after their young daughter died in a hospital in New Delhi, India. According to Sahara Reporters, the family has yet to receive autopsy results or any other details explaining the cause of her death.
Three days after the surgery, Chinenye began to experience pain in her leg. She returned to the hospital to have a screw in her leg changed. While the screw was being changed by one Dr. Rahul Kaul, she lost consciousness and was declared dead shortly thereafter. Chinenye's mother asked that the doctor make an effort to resuscitate her, but her request was ignored, "In October 11, 2015, an autopsy was conducted on Chinenye without requesting permission from her family. The family has reached out to the hospital several times to receive results of the autopsy to no avail. After getting in contact with Dr. Gupta, Chinenye's mother was told that the hospital did not have access to the autopsy report because it is "a police matter." He added that the Ministry of External Affairs is handling the situation, but he refused to give Chinenye's mother any details regarding this alleged investigation. The victim's family is left wondering what caused the untimely death of their daughter. While Dr. Gupta said the official cause of death was a severe heart attack, the medical superintendent cited breathlessness as the cause of death. Chinenye's family and friends have since written letters and staged peaceful protests at the Indian embassies in Lagos and Abuja, but their efforts have thus far been futile." "Our family deserves to know why Chinenye died. It's about justice," her sister said. "We have heard numerous stories of how Nigerians have been fleeced and treated without regard in their desperate quest to seek good health. Let it end today." 2016 Q1 Industry Report rates Glo dominant operator in data subscriptions Posted: 10 May 2016 12:27 PM PDT Globacom has consolidated its position as Nigeria's preferred network for new data subscribers in the first quarter of 2016. Industry reports on the website of the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) showed that 1,448,354 new internet subscribers joined the Globacom network in the first three months of the year. The operator garnered 354,178 new subscribers in January; 248,593 in February; and 845,583 subscribers in March. In all, the operator's internet customers climbed to 26,530,420 at the end of the first quarter. Globacom's figure of 1,448,354 for the three months represented 80 percent of the total number of 1,820,651 new subscribers who used the internet services of the four key telecom operators in Nigeria in the first quarter of this year. While Airtel recorded 319,229 new data subscribers for the three months, Etisalat had an addition of 53,068 new internet users on the network during the period. Posted: 10 May 2016 12:24 PM PDT This statement was shared on Transparency International's website this evening. Responding to the recent comments by UK Prime Minister David Cameron that Nigeria and Afghanistan were possibly the two most corrupt countries in the world, Cobus de Swardt, Managing Director of Transparency International said: "There is no doubt that historically, Nigeria and Afghanistan have had very high levels of corruption, and that continues to this day. But the leaders of those countries have sent strong signals that they want things to change, and the London Anti-Corruption Summit creates an opportunity for all the countries present to sign up to a new era. This affects the UK as much as other countries: we should not forget that by providing a safe haven for corrupt assets, the UK and its Overseas Territories and Crown Dependencies are a big part of the world's corruption problem." |

Good News! …New Solution Discovered For Hypertension (HBP) Without Drugs Posted: 10 May 2016 09:42 AM PDT Uncontrolled high blood pressure is a very serious health concern that can lead to heart disease and increased risk for stroke. The good news is, by optimizing your dietary intake, exercising, and effectively managing your stress, the odds of lowering your blood pressure are greatly in your favor. http://hypercare.com.ng If you or someone you love is affected by high blood pressure, then please review and share the guidelines given below. A list of supplementary articles is also included, if you desire further information. Hypertension is actually an easily treated condition, but one that can cause serious damage to your health if ignored. Here is why, Go Here => http://hypercare.com.ng Groundbreaking research published in 1998 in the journal Diabetesreported that nearly two-thirds of the test subjects who were insulin resistant (IR) also had high blood pressure, and insulin resistance is directly attributable to a high sugar, high grain diet, especially if accompanied by inadequate exercise. So, chances are that if you have hypertension, you also have poorly controlled blood sugar levels, because these two problems often go hand in hand. As your insulin level elevates, so does your blood pressure. Insulin also affects your blood pressure by causing your body to retain sodium. Sodium retention causes fluid retention. Fluid retention in turn causes high blood pressure and can ultimately lead to congestive heart failure. If your hypertension is the direct result of an out-of-control blood sugar level, then normalizing your blood sugar levels will also lower your blood pressure readings into the healthy range. Get full details on our website here => http://hypercare.com.ng Eating sugars and grains -- including anytype of bread, pasta, corn, potatoes, or rice -- will cause your insulin levels and your blood pressure to remain elevated. Depending on your physical condition when you embark on your exercise program, you may need to consult with a health care professional for help increasing to the intensity required to lower your insulin level. Research shows that chromium helps your body use insulin more efficiently, maintains steady blood sugar levels, and reduces the need for diabetes drugs. Chromium deficiency and diabetes often accompany each other, according to a study published in Diabetes Care. This isn't a surprising when you realize that the symptoms of chromium deficiency (such as out-of-control levels of glucose, insulin, triglycerides, and high cholesterol) resemble those of prediabetes. One cup of raw onion (about ½ cup cooked onion) gives you 24mcg of the government's "adequate intake" recommendation of 25 — 35mcg of chromium. So sauté up a big batch of onions, add some garlic and herbs, and throw them on salads, toss them in soups and frittatas, and use them to smother a juicy, grass-fed burger. NUTS These little diabetes-busters are bursting with healthy fats, vitamins, and lots of minerals. If you're prediabetic, or want to avoid Type 2, eating nuts will cut down your risk. If you already have diabetes, nuts help you manage your blood sugar and weight. Nuts contain monounsaturated fatty acids (MUFAs), which reverse insulin resistance. Posted: 10 May 2016 09:03 AM PDT Doctors last Friday removed a giant 15 stone tumour from a woman after living with it for five years. Kamlesh Devi, 45, from Meirut, in Uttar Pradesh, in northern India left her ovarian tumour for years because her late husband and family feared the treatment would be expensive. Even though she suffered though unbearable pain for years, she agreed with her husband. Her husband died six years ago and Ms Kamlesh decided to finally see a doctor. She discovered she was entitled to free treatment as part of an Indian poverty scheme. The surgeons took just three hours to remove the massive tumour, which weighed the same as a large man, from her right ovary. "She was in severe pain when she came to the hospital. The tumor had started leaking and it would have turned fatal if there was any further delay. Three units of blood were infused during the surgery and then the patient was kept in ICU for a day. She is recovering well and we're now waiting to the results of the tests taken on the tumour." said Surgeon Dr A S Jaggi. "I've never seen such a tumor in my whole career. Ovarian tumors are common but never this big. It must be three feet in length and two feet in width, it's huge. The tumor has now has been sent to a pathology lab for tests." he added.Dr Jaggi said that the hospital has also contacted India's version of the Guinness Book of Records, the Limca Book of Records to see if the tumour qualifies for a recognition. 'I don't hate you' - Tompolo says in an open letter to Pres. Buhari Posted: 10 May 2016 08:46 AM PDT Ex militant leader Government Ekpemupolo aka Tompolo has written an open letter to President Buhari, saying that he does not hate Buhari. In the letter, Tompolo said that his support for ex president Goodluck Jonathan during the last election was borne out of the fact that Jonathan was his own person. Read full letter after the cut... His Excellency, President Muhammadu Buhari, GCFR, President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Aso Rock Presidential Villa, Abuja. Dear Mr President, I once again, deem it pertinent to write Your Excellency since your assumption of office in May 2015. Mr President will recall that at my meeting with you sometimes last year, I gave my commitment and pledge to ensure sustainable peace and development in the oil rich Niger Delta region and Nigeria in general. At the meeting which I interpreted to be an ample opportunity and a template for peaceful co existence in the country, I made it known to Your Excellency that my support for your government as well as my commitment to a peaceful and secure Niger Delta region is paramount. But I remember also that I gave a humble advice on the need for Mr President to be weary of political cum crisis merchants, particularly those who are members of your own party, the APC. That advice arose out of the fear that most people who are members of your party, especially from the Niger Delta region, who are very known to me, take solace in evolving and concocting crisis to leverage upon. I left the meeting fulfilled for three reasons. It was not because I had met with a new man in charge but because I had an opportunity to air my views on the way forward. I had also successfully dispelled an unfounded perception that I do not want to see President you succeed having defeated my fellow Ijaw kinsman and close confidant. Thirdly, I did not use the opportunity of that auspicious meeting to arrogate to myself, as having the solutions to all the challenges facing the Niger Delta region. This is worth emphasizing in the sense that aside me , there are several other dissatisfied, disenchanted, oppressed and agitated younger elements who still habour misdirected sentiments that I led a handful of ex agitators to surrender arms and embrace the Presidential Amnesty Programme in 2009, under late President Umaru Musa Yar'Adua, without immediately solving the myriad of problems facing our people. Little did such younger elements appreciate the fact that there can only be a process leading to the eventual succor for our people. Nonetheless, I displayed an uncommon courage to ensure the sustenance of peace and relative security within the limits of my capacity and ability. Most Nigerians, if not all, are aware of the role I played in safeguarding and protecting crude oil and gas facilities during the last administration. I am sure even Mr President is aware of this development. As a patriotic Nigerian, I have never hidden my desire to do what is just in this regard even to the extent, that I have incurred the wrath of illegal bunkers and vandals. Attempts To Demonize Me And Ethnicise Niger Delta Issues Mr President Sir, even at the risk of being repetitive, kindly permit me to recall the various efforts I have made to exonerate myself from the perfidious moves by some elements within and outside the Niger Delta region to always implicate me on any flimsy opportunity. To such persons, calling me, the man behind every bad thing has remained the only avenue and pedestal to get political patronages. Although so many instances abound, the recent spirited move to link me with the nascent Niger Delta Avengers (NDA), a group that has claimed responsibility for the various breaches on oil pipeline installations in the Niger Delta region. To some around you, the only means of getting Your Excellency's attention is to wickedly attribute the activities of the said group to me simply because I have a running battle with the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission ( EFCC). This is the height of desperation and hypocrisy on the part of such people. For one, I have chosen to pursue my case with the EFCC to a logical conclusion because I am yet to be convinced that the purported case instituted against me does not have ethnic colouration masterminded by my traducers. Since the case is before a competent court of jurisdiction, I will refrain from making further comments on this. However, it will be in the interest of this great nation if Mr President takes a painstaking study of certain political actors around him, most especially those from the Niger Delta region. I bear no grudge against any of such, but I am convinced beyond any doubt that they have taken solace in perpetual misdirection and mischief as far as my person is concerned. I make bold to say that there are several APC elements within and around your government who see anything Ijaw as criminal and anti-Buhari. Unpretentiously too, certain non-Ijaw ethnic merchants cum bigots have expressedly displayed open hatred for Ijaws in the Niger Delta region. Such persons have almost succeeded in warping a governmental mindset against Ijaws, whether in or outside your government. Please Mr President, this is a very dangerous dimension that is avoidable by your government. Just as your people supported you as of right, throughout the presidential campaigns, I do not think it was criminal for me to openly support one of my own, Dr Goodluck Ebele Jonathan for the presidency in 2015. I did so out of conviction not because I hate you or because you are a northerner. Afterall, most of my personal friends and acquaintances are from the north. To cap it all, the memories of my robust relationship with your Katsina brother, the late President Umaru Musa Yar'Adua are still painfully fresh and reminiscent of brotherliness. In this regard, it is only appropriate to judge people not by what is reeled out to the corridor of powers by their traducers but by their deeds and activities. I do not think I have done anything to warrant this needless mental onslaught that has been visited on me since Your Excellency's assumption of power. Finally, I am compelled to say that these ethno-political merchants are merely laying the foundation for an unavoidable crisis. They will be happy to see a ravaged Gbaramatu Kingdom and by extension, Ijawland under the pretext of looking for me. This is a very dangerous template such persons are laying and it is only good for Mr President to deploy the inner mind to stratify this unwholesome gimmick. Once again, I thank Mr President for having the time to peruse this letter. Thanks and as usual, accept the assurances of my highest compliments. SIGNED HIGH CHIEF GOVERNMENT EKPEMUPOLO (TOMPOLO) The Ibe-ebidouwei of Ijaw Nation |
Russia to test unstoppable 'Satan 2' nuclear weapon capable of wiping out France or Texas in seconds Posted: 10 May 2016 08:40 AM PDT Russia, this summer, is preparing to test-fire a nuclear weapon nicknamed "Satan 2" which is so powerful it could destroy a whole country in seconds. The nuclear missile, which is totally unstoppable by Nuclear defence systems is the most powerful missile ever designed and is equipped with stealth technology to help it dodge enemy radar systems. The missile with official name RS-28 Sarmat and nicknamed Satan 2 by NATO military experts will replace Soviet R-36M missiles nicknamed "Satan" . This groundbreaking military invention by President Putin's led Russia will surely strike fear into Western Nations like the U.S, Britain, Germany and France as the Satan 2 missile is capable of wiping an entire nation as big as France or the size of Texas in seconds, as it is capable of delivering up to a dozen warheads in just one strike. The weapon will be tested this summer and will now be used for active service by Russian military before 2020. "In this sense, the Sarmat missile will not only become the R-36M's successor, but also to some extent it will determine in which direction nuclear deterrence in the world will develop," according to reports from Russian news network Zvezda . ''The missile is expected to be capable of delivering up to a dozen warheads, allowing to effectively destroy an area the "size of Texas or France",Source: Zvezda/ Mirror UK |
