Posted: 13 May 2016 01:00 PM PDT Below is how TMZ reported it today... Kylie Jenner's just too successful, too young and too hot to be tied down to one man, and that's the main reason she and Tyga are done for good this time. Sources connected with the former couple tell us KJ recently realized she wants to live the single life and soak up the spoils of being an 18-year-old multi-millionaire. That frequently means flying all over the world for appearances, and we're told that didn't sit well with Tyga ... who's focusing on his music. As one source put it ... she wants to jet set, he wants to chill in a studio -- and they both knew it wouldn't work. Also, we're told since their mini break last fall ... there's been constant drama over "dumb stuff" -- what to eat, what they say on social media, blah, blah. As for the model at Mother's Day brunch with Tyga? We're told he admits having a couple models "hanging around," but no serious girlfriends -- and Kylie's confident there was no cheating before they split. |
Statement from the office of the Vice President on fuel pricing debate Posted: 13 May 2016 12:53 PM PDT
Permit me an explanation of the policy. First, the real issue is not a removal of subsidy. At $40 a barrel there isn't much of a subsidy to remove. In any event, the President is probably one of the most convinced pro-subsidy advocates. What happened is as follows: our local consumption of fuel is almost entirely imported. The NNPC exchanges crude from its joint venture share to provide about 50% of local fuel consumption. The remaining 50% is imported by major and independent marketers. These marketers up until three months ago sourced their foreign exchange from the Central Bank of Nigeria at the official rate. However, since late last year, independent marketers have brought in little or no fuel because they have been unable to get foreign exchange from the CBN. The CBN simply did not have enough. (In April, oil earnings dipped to $550 million. The amount required for fuel importation alone is about $225million!) . Meanwhile, NNPC tried to cover the 50% shortfall by dedicating more export crude for domestic consumption. Besides the short term depletion of the Federation Account, which is where the FG and States are paid from, and further cash-call debts pilling up, NNPC also lacked the capacity to distribute 100% of local consumption around the country. Previously, they were responsible for only about 50%. (Partly the reason for the lingering scarcity). We realised that we were left with only one option. This was to allow independent marketers and any Nigerian entity to source their own foreign exchange and import fuel. We expect that foreign exchange will be sourced at an average of about N285 to the dollar, (current interbank rate). They would then be restricted to selling at a price between N135 and N145 per litre. We expect that with competition, more private refineries, and NNPC refineries working at full capacity, prices will drop considerably. Our target is that by Q4 2018 we should be producing 70% of our fuel needs locally. At the moment even if all the refineries are working optimally they will produce just about 40% of our domestic fuel needs. You will notice that I have not mentioned other details of the PPRA cost template. I wanted to focus on the cost component largely responsible for the substantial rise, namely foreign exchange. This is therefore not a subsidy removal issue but a foreign exchange problem, in the face of dwindling earnings. Thank you all. VICE PRESIDENT YEMI OSINBAJO, SAN May 13, 2016 |

Photos: Body of missing Nigerian medical student, Ambrose Monye found in Lake Michigan Posted: 13 May 2016 12:40 PM PDT A body pulled out of Lake Michigan near Promontory Point Park on Sunday, May 8, has been identified as a medical student who had been missing for more than two weeks. 28-year-old Ambrose Monye was a fourth-year medical student at the University of Guadalajara in Mexico and was on a two-year rotation at Jackson Park Hospital and Medical Centre in Chicago. He was last seen on April 21, walking towards the University of Chicago's John Crerar Library, a medical research library at 5730 S. Ellis Av. Family members say Monye's disappearance was strange because he was preparing to graduate in a few weeks. His younger brother said all the lights were on at Monye's apartment, and the refrigerator was full of groceries when police went to check on him after he was reported missing. "He's just four weeks from his goal. His tickets to graduation are already bought for the ceremony. He ordered his cap and gown and everything," Joseph Monye,(pictured) Ambrose's younger brother, told Dateline NBC before he was found. "I still have hope that my brother is out there, but it's hard to be optimistic since it's been so long." "He frequents the coffee shops in the Hyde Park neighborhood," Chicago Police Department spokeswoman Officer Laura Amezaga told NewsOne On May 8, a body was discovered at 5400 S. Lake Shore Drive. It took a few days, but the body was identified as that of Monye, Chicago Police Department spokeswoman Officer Nicole Trainor told NewsOne. "He has been identified and now it's a death investigation," Trainor said. "It's an investigation to determine the cause of the death." Trainor said it's unclear if foul play was involved, or even when Monye's body entered the lake. If any sort of foul play is discovered, the death investigation would become a homicide investigation. Joseph Monye, also a medical student, said he last spoke to his brother just before his disappearance and nothing seemed out of the ordinary. Monye was a quiet and soft-spoken athlete who was interested in pursuing a career in cardiology. The brothers are from outside of Baltimore, and come from a family of doctors. Joseph said their lives revolved around studying and more studying. "That's literally all we do, because we don't want to encounter any kind of problems, so we just keep to ourselves. We focus on our studies, and mind our business, and it's odd enough this happened," Joseph said. A cause of death has not yet been determined. |

32-year-old Nigerian doctor Foyekemi Adeyemo Ikyaator opens her own Emergency Room in Houston, TX Posted: 13 May 2016 09:43 AM PDT 32-year-old Nigerian, Dr. Foyekemi Adeyemo Ikyaator is the emergency room physician and Medical Director of Life SaversER located in Houston, Texas. A graduate of the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health. The Nigerian native was practically raised in the States and groomed to care for the physical well being of people. No doubt coming from a structured support system that purported academic superiority, Dr. Foye received her education on a full academic scholarship. A self-proclaimed human rights proponent, the silver lining of Dr. Foye is simply helping people.
Life Savers Emergency Room was created to meet the medical needs of Houston. They are a stand-alone emergency room, meaning they are not attached to a hospital. Dr. Foye enjoy Emergency Medicine tremendously and at Life Savers ER, they are able to provide the same ER care much more efficiently than at the hospital because they have an onsite laboratory, radiology equipment and pharmacy. There is no waiting in line for your labs to get sent or processed. Nor is there the risk of waiting in the waiting room for hours to be seen by a doctor. After completing her residency in Emergency Medicine in 2012, at the Emory School of Medicine and Public Health, in Atlanta GA, Dr. Foye moved to Houston TX. to further her practice. She gained extensive experience working within the St. Luke's Health System. Within a few short years, she decided it was time to do what she wanted to do. Today, Dr. Foye direct the free-standing Life Savers Emergency Room where she can take more time with her patients and counsel them on specific needs as well as promote the kind of medicine that she believes is necessary in today's community. Dr. Foye is married to Orseer Ikyaator and they are blessed with a boy. Also see a photo of her as a little girl with her mother, Mrs Foluso Adetutu Adeyemo. Chelsea confirm they have offered captain John Terry a new one year contract Posted: 13 May 2016 09:36 AM PDT Chelsea football club have listened to the plea of their fans and offered long serving 35 year old captain John Terry a new one year contract for him to remain at Stamford Bridge. John Terry had already intimated to friends and family that he will be playing his last match for the club against Leicester City this weekend, but having met with Chelsea officials this week, he's been offered a one year deal to remain at the club. A club spokesman said according to SportsMail: 'Marina Granovskaia and Bruce Buck met with John and his agent this week and offered him a one-year contract extension. 'With it coming so late in the season, this is a big decision for John and his family and it is something that they are now considering.' Chelsea manager Guus Hiddink revealed during his press conference on Friday that he had been speaking to the club about Terryinforming them that they needed to 'cherish' their legends. 'I talk to the people inside every now and then,' Hiddink said. 'I'm always in favour, generally speaking, that players, ex players – I'm not talking about John now – have a lot of influence in the culture of a club. 'When the players say goodbye to a club they love and come back, in whatever task, I'm in favour. Maybe that's also for John in the future. I don't know.' He added: 'He is already 21 years in this club. I saw an image of him recently coming in as a youngster. It's huge, 21 years. That's why they become legends. 'You must cherish those legends for the future as well.' |

Senegalese woman based in Nigeria Fatma Samoura appointed as FIFA's Secretary General (photo) Posted: 13 May 2016 09:29 AM PDT Senegalese UN diplomat Fatma Samoura was named FIFA's new secretary General by FIFA president Gianni Infantino today in Mexico, during FIFA's 66th International congress. Fatma Samoura currently lives in Nigeria and was appointed personally by Infantino today at the 66th FIFA Congress according to FIFA statues. Her appointment will make her the first female number two ever at world football's governing body, FIFA. Infantino says she was appointed as he aims to promote values such as Gender equality, zero-tolerance for racism and corruption with new leadership as he begins his tenure as FIFA President. The former secretary general, Jerome Valcke of France, was sacked in January and banned from football for 12 years over misconduct in television deals and World Cup ticket sales, one of the many scandals that hit FIFA. Markus Kattner has been acting as the Secretary General since Infantino was elected as president back in February. |

New fibroid solution without surgery found! No more worries Posted: 13 May 2016 09:19 AM PDT If you have been diagnosed of Uterine Fibroids, here is a solution without surgery…. Revealed at last!!! A Scientifically proven Natural Solution Found to provide permanent solution for Fibroids. Ensure you read this article to the end even if you don't have Fibroid, this can serve as a preventive measure and prevent you from growing one. Click here to read more http://besthealthsupport.com/fibroid.html Who is at risk of fibroid? Women who are approaching menopause are at the greatest risk of fibroids because of their long exposure to high levels of estrogen. According to a statistic report, 1 1n 4 women in Nigeria have Fibroids between the age of 30-50 years. Symptoms and Complications associated with fibroids • Anemia (as a result of heavy periods) • Backache • Constipation • Discomfort in the lower abdomen (especially if fibroids are large) • Frequent urination • Heavy painful periods • Pain in the legs • Painful sex • Swelling in the lower abdomen (especially if fibroids are large) Click here for the full list http://besthealthsupport.com/fibroid.html Complications associated with fibroids : •Menorrhagia (heavy periods/increased bleeding) – Fibroids may cause the menstrual bleeding to be heavier, or increase in the duration of bleeding or may cause bleeding in between periods. Some women may have a combination of bleeding symptoms. The presence and degree of uterine bleeding is determined mainly by the location of the fibroid. Women with Fibroids that protrude into the uterus are more likely to have significant increase in bleeding. • Infertility and Repeated Miscarriages – Fibroids can cause infertility in a number of different ways. A Fibroid can cause compression on the fallopian tubes resulting in a blockage of the passage of sperm or eggs. Fibroid can also distort the pelvic anatomy sufficiently to make it difficult for the fallopian tube to capture an egg at the time of ovulation. If a fibroid extends into the uterine cavity or causes distortion of the uterine cavity, it may present a mechanical barrier to implantation. Studies suggests that Fibroids in the muscle portion of the uterus can cause an alteration or reduction of blood flow to the uterine lining making it more difficult for an implanted embryo to grow and develop. Studies also suggests that even small Fibroids that grow inside of the uterine cavity may act as a foreign body and result in an inflammatory reaction that makes the uterine environment hostile for an embryo to implant, making it difficult for the woman to get pregnant. In summary, Fibroids can affect fertility in many ways. They can affect whether sperm and egg meet, they can affect whether an embryo can implant, they can affect whether a pregnancy can continue, and they can affect the growth and positioning of the baby. • Pregnancy complications – Studies have suggested an increased risk of certain problems during pregnancy in women with Fibroids, including difficulties with labor, breech presentation of the fetus, premature rupture of the "bag of waters", and abruptionof the placenta (a condition in which the placenta separates from the uterine wall during the pregnancy). • Abdominal pains –Fibroids can cause swelling and discomfort in the lower abdomen. A Fibroid patient may also have a sensation of being constipated. Fibroids can also cause pain in bowel movements. Have you been diagnosed with Fibroids and looking for a natural, safe and easy way to permanently remove it and prevent its recurrent growth without surgical operation? Our 100% Natural Fibroid Remover Pack will help you eliminate all types of Fibroids and its complications in the shortest possible time.
