Nigerian Military debunk Amnesty report

Posted: 12 May 2016 12:47 PM PDT

The Nigerian military has completely disassociated itself from the report of Amnesty International which claims that some civilians died in a detention cell at Giwa Barracks, the statement reads.

On Wednesday, the London-based rights group in a new report claimed at least 149 people, including babies and children had died at a military detention facility for Boko Haram suspects and urged Nigeria to shut down the camp.

"The accusation comes as a surprise and shock because the organisation has accessed the facilities and made recommendations which were implemented. It is rather unfortunate that an organization of higher repute such as Amnesty International could come around to release a report which is completely baseless, unfounded and source-less with the intent of denting the image of the Nigerian Armed Forces. We will not be deterred by this report, but would remain committed to the task we have started against the Boko Haram terrorists until they are annihilated. We are calling on all well meaning Nigerians and International Communities to discountenance this report as it has no iota of truth. The Nigerian Armed Forces uphold the tenets of observance of human right and dignity of lives of innocent individuals as enshrined in the Conventions and Charters of the United Nation which Nigeria is a signatory. This one sided report is defective in all intent and purpose and does not portray the sincerity of Amnesty International as well as reflecting the true situation in Giwa Barracks now."

Again, EFCC invades Chief Femi Fani-Kayode's residence

Posted: 12 May 2016 12:10 PM PDT

Femi Fani-Kayode's SSA Media Jude Ndukwe sent in the press statement. Read below...
Earlier today, the EFCC invaded the residence of Chief Femi Fani-Kayode even when he was still in their custody. What miffed us most was their mode of operation which was forceful, provocative and dangerous as they wielded their guns with needless threats. The worst is that the invasion was without a warrant as they forced their way in, and after terrifying all the staff at home including the infant, they whisked the laundry man away even though he was later released.
This is the fourth time the EFCC operatives would be invading Chief Fani-Kayode's residence in just under a week. We condemn this act of executive lawlessness, harassment and intimidation. Chief Femi Fani-Kayode has served this country even at the highest levels and he deserves some courtesy.

We call on the EFCC to endeavour to carry out their functions within the ambit of our laws and stop brazenly betraying the fact that Chief Fani-Kayode is under persecution. The world is watching!

Kendra Wilkinson slams Holly Madison on twitter. "She wasn't in fear with that d**k in her ass for a paycheck"

Posted: 12 May 2016 10:42 AM PDT

In an interview with People to promote her explosive second memoir, Down the Rabbit Hole, former Playboy playmate and Hugh Hefner ex-girlfriend, Holly Madison opened up about what she called a culture of fear surrounding the Playboy lifestyle.

Life at the Playboy Mansion may have seemed shiny and glamorous from the outside, but Madison says that behind closed doors, it was far from it.

"It was so confining," Madison, 36, tells PEOPLE exclusively. She moved out of the mansion in 2008 after seven years living there with Hefner.

"It was a place where you're made to feel like as a woman, your value decreases as you age," she says. "And it decreases if you have something to say. It's really not healthy."

"When I arrived, I saw women tell lies about other women and get them kicked out. I got scared really fast. They were always watching every move I made. There were sharks in the water."

Madison said that the culture "encouraged women who acted stupid" and put women "out to pasture" by the time they were 28. She grew more uneasy with each passing year.

"I never felt comfortable in a situation where by the time women were 28 they were supposed to be put out to pasture," she says. "And it was a culture that really encouraged women who acted stupid. It was a constant struggle

But one person has a different take on that time period: Kendra Wilkinson who also dated Hefner at the time and costarred with Holly on the E! show The Girls Next Door.

Kendra took to Twitter today  and called out Holly saying that she is acting out of shame for what she used to do, and the only "fear" Holly should feel is the threat of exposing what she did sexually at the time.

"Now Holly is on cover of People mag sayin she lived in fear at the mansion. She wasn't  in fear with that dick in her ass for a paycheck"

"That bitch is in fear now knowing so many of us saw her doing some nasty shit. She's embarrassed and in shame. She was the clean up girl"

"Holly's job was to get Hef hard again and clean him up with her mouth"

Kendra has since deleted her tweets and apologized ...

Holly has yet to respond to Kendra's tweets

Read Billionaire businessman, Ifeanyi Ubah, romantic letter to his wife as she turns a year older today

Posted: 12 May 2016 09:31 AM PDT

Billionaire Businessman, Ifeanyi Uba, shared a open romantic letter to his wife of 19 years, Uche, as she turns a year older today. He shared their photos and the letter on his Facebook page. He wrote
I can remember vividly the first time I set my eyes on her. I was 22 and she was 20. It was not difficult to see her invaluable worth. Within a short space of time and with much excitement, I had concluded she was going to be my wife. At the age of 22, she became my wife after paying her bride price. We eventually wedded in 1997 at Muson Centre, Lagos. I was 26 years at the time and she was 24 years.
The blessings she brought to my life started to manifest in no time as I moved into a house of my own also at the age of 22. All these were rare feats! From then onwards, the good tidings of love has been evident in our lives. She has been a rock, my solid rock.

Her entrance into my life opened doors, shattered barriers, leveled mountains and made me soar. This treasure stood by me through thick and thin, even at my lowest ebb.

You see, the bible never lies. As the word of the Lord says "he who finds a wife, findeth a good thing"...In my case, I FOUND THE BEST THING! I will and could never ask God for more. Taking a stroll down memory lane and life as we started it, the struggles, the bliss, the highs and the lows, all the beautiful moments we have shared, there is no doubt that you have been an immense blessing to me. Obim, I honor you on this special day, for being a solid pillar of strength and support all through the years. Since we started this journey over 20 years ago, your belief and confidence in me has been resolute, giving me a steady platform to build on.

Through the good times and bad, you stood firmly behind me, helping me withstand the true test of time, growing with you, by you and growing closer each passing year. My strength lies in you, Uche. My renewed strength comes from the assurance of your ability and capacity to take charge of the home front while I do battle on the field.

You see...you are the best partner I could ever dream of. We are the best team! Even while I am on the battlefield daily, with all the hostilities and struggles, you are always behind me and knowing that I have a woman who has got my back, even when it's against the wall fills me with so much confidence. At this juncture, I wish to thank for everything, absolutely everything you represent and have done for me. Words can never be enough to exhaustively explain what you mean to me.

You have blessed me in countless ways, of which being the caring and resourceful mother of our 5 beautiful children is the zenith. Despite being highly misunderstood and sometimes controversial, you have always been that one person who understood me totally, seeing beyond everyone else, seeing beyond the veil. I want to thank you for tolerating me and all my controversies.

Over the years, the countless advice and counsel gotten from your well of wisdom has keep my foot on the ground. Today, I am afloat because of you. Inasmuch as I recognize the fact that words are inadequate to gush about my thoughts and feelings for you, I intend to use our book which would be published soon to illustrate exhaustively what you mean to me, even though that might just scratch the surface. My love, as you reach another milestone today, my earnest prayer is that God grants us the grace to understand and love each other more and more with each passing day.

You have been a virtuous wife, an extraordinary friend, a wonderful mother, a reliable confidant and a precious vessel which God has used to bless me immensely.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, MY ANGEL. I LOVE YOU SO MUCH.
