| 74-year-old man allegedly caught molesting a 14-year-old of boy in Umuahia (photos) Posted: 03 Jun 2016 12:59 PM PDT  "The Umukam Okaiuga Nkwoegwu Autonomous Community in Ohuhu, Umuahia North Local Government Area of Abia State is in deep shock and fear arising from a bizarre incident and conduct of Chief Magistrate Mirabel C. ken Ahukanna of the Afugiri Magistrate Court in Umuahia North LGA.  The community in recent times has been embroiled in incidences of indecent molestations, sexual assaults and rapes of adolescent males in the community orchestrated by a 74 years old man, Nwoke Simeon Ogbuehi also from the community Luck however ran out on Ogbuehi on Thursday 26 day of May 2016 when the youths of Okaiuga community caught him in the act forcefully having carnal knowledge of 14 years old JS2 pupil Master Chukwuebuka Uchendu. The community promptly handed Ogbuehi and his victim to the police at the divisional police station at Afugiri, who then took over the investigation and thereafter arraigned the suspect before the Chief Magistrate Court, Afugiri.   It was at this juncture that the matter took a bizarre turn. When the case came up before Chief Magistrate Mirabel C. ken Ahukanna and after querying the victim in open court who narrated his repeated ordeals at the hands of Ogbuehi, the chief Magistrate promptly discharged the accused on the grounds that the holding cell at Afara prison has no space to take in further inmates and with that released a suspected pedophile back to the community to continue his dastardly acts. The victims and community now lives in fear and apprehension as Ogbuehi even within the court premises threatened to get back at the community for exposing and humiliating him. We call on the relevant authorities in Abia State and the office of the Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice to quickly intervene and arrest this ugly development before it tarnishes the image of God own state further" |

This is as a result of the apprehension by my office of the various disputes in the sector in accordance and in compliance with the provisions of the labour laws of Nigeria. In this wise, all the retrenchments and redundancies done in the last four months and all proposed ones should be put on hold pending the outcome of the proposed stakeholders' summit for the banking, insurance and financial institutions' employers and employees, slated for July 2." it said. |

Since about 11plus pm last nite when I experienced what was like a movie part where I was one of the actors playing a role.I had gotten home and as usual there was no light, that alone after a very trying day was thoroughly deflating, I noticed that the Generator too wasn't on and that added to the frustrating situation, so I decided there and then that whatever it was I was going to go look for fuel, that was if that was what the problem was. So I thought to decongest the car first, as I had bought a few provisions and things for the house. As soon as I got upstairs i checked and confirmed that nothing was wrong with the generator, except that there was truly no fuel. So after dropping off my bags and other things , I left to go to the Mobil filling station at Maryland. I had wanted to leave my personal bag in the car at first and then decided against that at the last minute as it had my international passport, some other documents and my bank things. So to Maryland I headed, got to the station without any incidence, bought fuel for the car and also for the generator and then engine oil and in my mind, I was already so happy I wasn't going to sleep in the dark. From Maryland to Ilupeju, then the Anthony bridge going towards Gbagada. I was on the main express road just cruising and in my own world, I just noticed off handed on my right on the service lane a minivan. I didn't think anything of it, only just noticed that they were trying to keep up. So I just zoomed off thinking who are this one, who wants to compete with anyone at this kind of time. Apparently they had noticed me well and were biding their time. Just as I was approaching the Mobil filling station at Gbagada and I trafficated so I could climb the bridge, I just noticed that the minivan accelerated suddenly and drove past quite suddenly to go ahead of me on the bridge. I was shocked, but still thought the driver and whoever might be in the minivan were either drunk and were baiting for some reactions. So I was behind and they were driving in front of me. But since the bad driving of a few seconds before, my instinct had kicked in and i was just a bit alert. Not a few more seconds later, Lo and behold as we climbed the bridge in front of the filling station going to the other side, right at the middle I noticed that the minivan was slowing down and then suddenly stopped! In a split second, I saw a door opening, thinking quickly that what was it that was about happening , I quickly engaged my reverse and was trying to move back, that surprised them a bit, but since it was pitch dark, I hit a culvert and couldn't move further, when they saw this, they started moving towards me again. My mind just said run for your life. In a split second, I had jumped down and ran down the bridge in the dark shouting thieves ole!! Ole!!! The only thing I heard was hey! Stop! For where!!! As I spoke to my legs, my tempo of acceleration increased till I ran to the Mobil station for help. I was thoroughly shaken to my bones. I had just escaped a robbery/kidnap attempt!!! I shouted at the station got some people's attention, who I explained to what had just happened. That was when I was told it was a recurring decimal. People get robbed and are driven around for hours till they are released!!!! What!!!!!! These people said we should go back up the bridge, I was scared shitless. But I summoned the courage and up we went treading very carefully. Lo and behold, there was my car, ignition on, headlights still on, driver's side door ajar, just a few things scattered nothing missing!!! What had apparently saved my car was that it had climbed the culvert and was hooked, not able to go forward or backward!!! Also what had saved me from tumbling backwards was the aluminum railings. So apart from escaping the attack, I could have tumbled over!!! It took close to 2 hours before we could move the car afterwards, we had to get a towing vehicle, who exploited the situation asking for a crazy amount. I just had to agree just to get out and away from the black spot. It was whilst we were struggling to get my car out of the ditch, that more stories of attacks and robberies were told me. So that spot was a fair ground for robbers!!!! A particular story of a person was told, whose car was stopped exactly like mine and then the dude was locked in the boot of his own car and was driven afterwards to an ATM to withdraw about 150k, then later driven to another ATM after 12am to remove another 150k. So just imagine that one is stopped and you have no money on you and even in one's ATM? What could have happened is left for the imagination. It was early this morning that I knew I could have beaten a Justin Gatlin or even the world record holder in a 100 meters dash. Boy!!!! Can I run!!!! I thank the God of the Spirits of the prophets for His grace upon my life. Am still in shock though grateful. Those useless trees around that bridge allows for cover for many of these robberies. We all need to be careful! |

| 2 arrested in murder of 13-year-old boy whose abduction was caught on video (watch) Posted: 03 Jun 2016 10:14 AM PDT   Deontae and a cousin rode their bikes to the grocery store on the city's eastside to buy chips and drinks, according to reports. Deontae's cousin told police the teen had picked up money dropped by 45-year-old Gregory Walker, who was urinating against an exterior wall of the grocery store. Surveillance video footage from the grocery store shows Walker, holding a nickel-plated revolver, grabbing Deontae by the arm and shove him into the rear passenger side of a black Chevy Impala. The car was later found abandoned near I-94 on the eastside. After the video was aired repeatedly on the news, Walker was arrested without incident early Thursday in Toledo, Ohio. A female acquaintance who was with him was also taken into custody. Hours later, police arrested Ernest Coleman as a suspect in the boy's death.  "This should be a message to all who perpetrate crimes against children: we're going to continue in a very relentless way to find you and bring you into custody," police chief James Craig said. Well here is my answer "Musa Is Alive and getting better". | Ghana set to ban cosmetic products responsible for Skin bleaching Posted: 03 Jun 2016 09:21 AM PDT  Ghana's Food and Drugs Authority (FDA) is set to ban the sale of cosmetic products which contain the skin bleaching ingredient 'hydroquinone'. The Ban which is to be effective in August this year, will ensure that the products will no longer be imported to the country. This is to deter users of the cancer-causing chemical within the Ghanaian market. According to FDA spokesperson, James Lartey, all skin lightening products will be banned and products containing hydroquinone will not be allowed into the country. | Elderly woman allegedly abandoned by her children in Iyana Ipaja (Photos) Posted: 03 Jun 2016 09:14 AM PDT   The elderly woman pictured has allegedly been abandoned on the road, for over two weeks in Iyana Ipaja, Lagos State. According to the twitter user who shared the pictures, her children were the ones who left her there. People around somehow managed to get their numbers to call them to pick her up but they allegedly refused to come. | Photo: Chris Giwa and his supporters storm NFF building for forceful takeover Posted: 03 Jun 2016 09:07 AM PDT  Chris Giwa in company of Effiong Johnson, Sani Fema, Rumson Baribote, Ben Agary, Yahaya Adama, Jide Fashikun, Fatai Olayinka, Abdulazeez Mohammed and a number of thugs stormed the Glass House when only a couple of Management Staff were around. They met the entrance door locked, and broke it down. The group swept into the office, and with the unruly cohorts, started to harass members of Staff. Dr. Christian Emeruwa, the National Security Officer and special assistant to the NFF General Secretary, was pushed by one of the thugs. Staff members in the administration department were shoved around. Tunde Aderibigbe, NFF's coordinator of political matters and Ademola Olajire, head of communications, were allegedly punched by one of the thugs, and they responded in like manner. It was at this stage that members of Staff decided that enough was enough. Bola Oyeyode (director of competitions), Olajire, Aderibigbe, Emeruwa and other staff joined hands and repelled the group. With the assistance of policemen, Giwa and group were dislodged from the Glass House. |

According to Sahara Reporters, the meeting started at about 9pm at the president's private home. President Buhari in the meeting reportedly told Jonathan that there were no plans to arrest him or his wife Patience. The meeting is said to have been brokered by former President Olusegun Obasanjo. |

Odom's history with crack is well-documented -- but people close to him thought he'd been scared straight after he overdosed at a Nevada brothel back in October.  But multiple sources close to Odom -- hoping to get through to the NBA star -- tell us he's been acting very strange lately. His friends are convinced he's off the wagon, and for the last few weeks they've been trying to get through to him. So, a group of people went to his home to convince him to enter rehab -- but Odom scoffed ... telling the group he doesn't need any help. It sounds just like the failed intervention attempt from 2013. During the confrontation, which took place at Odom's home in Calabasas, we're told his friends noticed drug paraphernalia scattered all over the place ... including crack pipes, baggies and roaches. We're told the fear is that Odom believes he's invincible -- as evidenced by the fact he's been hitting bars and drinking while still recovering from the damage he suffered from the overdose. |
