Rob wants to buy her a new car . . . She wants a brand-new house before their baby is born," said a source. "His family wants him to slow down. They're [thinking], 'Is this really how you want to spend money when you're about to have a family?'" Rob hasn't been making TV dough since he quit the hit "Keeping Up With the Kardashians" more than a year ago. | Femi Adesina says those describing President Buhari as being ill are wrong Posted: 06 Jun 2016 12:43 PM PDT  "The buzz going round town is that the President is "ill", but "ill" will be a misnomer. It should not be the right word to use. The President is going for a 10 day rest and during that period he will see specialists who will look at his ear because he has been treating that ear locally for some time. Nigerian physicians have looked at it and now they have said you are going to UK, now that you will be there let specialists look at the ear. They have treated it locally so it is not a question of whether the President is ill. If he is ill, it presupposes that there are certain things that he cannot do. Till the very last minute that he is traveling, the President performed the duties and functions of his office as the President. So illness is not the issue, but as a human being yes he can rest. He has been President for one full year, you know that in February he took 5days leave, he is taking another 10 days now that means 15 days leave in one year. You and I take more than that, so it is natural that the President as a human being is taking 10 days rest but he is not ill"he said |
| Shina Peller gives back to society (photos) Posted: 06 Jun 2016 12:34 PM PDT  He also awarded scholarships to the ten best students from three schools in Lagos; Pacelli School for the Blind and Partially Sighted, Kuramo Senior College and Victoria Island Secondary School. The tablets and the scholarships are a reward for academic excellence which aims to spur positive competition amongst the students and ultimately raise the educational standards in public schools. According to Mr Peller ;going to a public school should not be a disadvantage, neither should it limit the dreams and ambitions of the students. Speaking with students at Pacelli School for the Blind and Partially Sighted after donating an undisclosed sum of money along with desperately needed teaching aids, Mr Peller who is a patron of the school encouraged pupils that they can be whatever they wanted to be reminding them that people like Cohbams Asuquo passed through the same school and have become successful and respected individuals in the country. He promised to give the best two students in the school scholarships throughout their secondary education. During his visit to Victoria Island Secondary School and Kuramo College, Shina gave powerful speeches at both schools to motivate students on the importance of education as a potent way to avoid poverty. He also distributed educational tablets to select teachers in recognition of their outstanding efforts towards teaching the students. He also visited Lagos State Motherless Babies Home in Lekki which is also a yearly custom and donated much needed items which match their current needs. Mr Peller also called on other well meaning Nigerians to continue to support the youth and less privileged in a bid to spur inclusive growth in our nation. I have a contract until 2020, I feel good here and I don't want to finish on a season like that. I left Lille [in 2012] as a boss and I'd like to leave Chelsea as a boss, if I do leave one day. But for the time being I'm here."When asked about last season, the £32m Chelsea signing, said: "Everything was complicated, it was difficult. Honestly, for five or six years I'd always been at my best and this was the first season where it was more difficult but everyone knows that in a career there are highs and lows. "For the time being, touch wood, I've only experienced the highs – except for this season, when it wasn't quite as good. But it was meant to happen this season. I hope it doesn't happen again next season." |

| Hungarian undertakers stage grave-digging championship Posted: 06 Jun 2016 09:50 AM PDT  "I don't think this is morbid," the Hungarian Undertakers' Association's deputy chairman, Zoltan Juracsik, said to journalists at the national grave-digging contest at the wooded cemetery in Debrecen, Hungary's biggest city after Budapest. This is a profession, and the colleagues who toil in competition today are proud and deserve our respect," he said.The local team came out tops finishing their dig in less than an hour while the opposing side needed almost an hour to dig theirs. The graves were then judged on neatness and whether they complied with the regulation size: 200 cm long, 80 cm wide and 160 cm deep (7 feet by 2 feet 7 inches by 5 feet). It's not just a Hungarian thing however, the winning team wins a place in an international tournament against Poland, Slovakia and the Czech Republic. The contest is meant to improve the prestige of grave digging and attract young men to a job that must still be done by hand in crowded graveyards where mechanical diggers cannot fit. One of the competitors, Csaba Halasz, 21 entered the profession when he took up grave digging after high school, he is now a graduate with a degree in physical education but he has stayed in the business. "This job chose me," Halasz said. "It's hard but it's worth it. Relatives come and thank me every time. The profession just lured me in."More photos...          |
