Lamar Odom: KUWTK cameras not rolling + sources say he went off the rail over the reality show

TMZ has denied reports that Khloe Kardashian and her mum took cameras to visit Lamar in hospital. They said he suffered multiple strokes as a result of his medical emergency, has brain damage and is on a 3-5 hour dialysis for kidney failure. They say he had cocaine in his system and track marks on one of his arms and is currently unconscious and unresponsive.

Doctors said Lamar had cocaine and opiates in his system and that the fluid they found in his lungs was the result of crack cocaine use. Sources also said he went off the rails on Sunday after watching an episode of the Kardashian reality show where he was portrayed badly. Read full report after the cut


Khloe, Kim and Kris are by Lamar Odom's hospital bedside but reality show cameras are not ... according to sources close to production and at the hospital.
TMZ has learned that "Keeping Up with the Kardashians" is on a hiatus, so there's no staff to shoot anything even if the family wanted it. We're told none of the Kardashians want their hospital vigil public ... in no small part because Khloe is devastated.
There are reports the family walked in with cameras rolling -- not true ... cameras did not accompany them.
To the contrary, we're told the Kardashians have banned any photography in eyeshot of Lamar.
This was first reported by Gossip Cop. 

Lamar Odom lost it Sunday ... and the trigger was an episode of "Keeping Up with the Kardashians."
Sources at Dennis Hof's Love Ranch South tell us, Lamar seemed normal during his stay until he got a call from someone about the show. Some of the women who were around Lamar say he became irate, complaining about the way he had just been portrayed on the show.

As for what was on the show ...  Khloe got 2 calls from Lamar. When she got off the phone Kim criticized Khloe for being flirty with Lamar. In another clip, Lamar called Khloe to tell her that his good friend Jamie had died. When she got off the phone she worried Lamar might spin out of control. And in another scene Khloe fled a club after she heard Lamar was trying to get in.

We're told Lamar remained upset until he was found unconscious. 

Up until getting the call, people at the Ranch say Lamar was "chill." There was no evidence he had been high on drugs or alcohol. We're told when he arrived Saturday, he ordered a single bottle of cognac and when he was found unconscious a third of the bottle was left.
As we reported, people at the Ranch say Lamar had been using an herbal substitute for Viagra. Someone at the Ranch who was around Lamar tells us he was popping 8 to 10 herbal Viagras at a time. There are perils to the drug -- it can cause dangerously low blood pressure and it can restrict blood flow to vital organs.

Another source at the ranch says Lamar was taking the actual Viagra drug from a prescription bottle.

But he won't in Jesus name. Just months after his best friend died from a drug overdose, Lamar was found unconscious after suffering from a drug overdose. According to Radar Online, Khloe took a camera crew with her to visit Lamar in hospital as they're filming it for KUWTK. Their report below
Khloe, 30, sister Kim Kardashian and "Momager" Kris Jenner hopped on a private jet to Sin City with cameras rolling as soon as they learned about Odom's overdose after a three-day booze and pill bender that culminated in him being found unconscious at the Bunny Ranch.

"It's [a] s**t show," a source close to the situation told Radar. "The Kardashians are trying to run everything. They walked into the hospital with cameras rolling. It was shocking, but hardly a surprise."
Khloe was "extremely upset," the source told Radar, adding that "they are all crying and pretending like they care.
"The doctors have been working non-stop to make sure Lamar pulls through and the Kardashians are making everything a circus," the source told Radar. "It is ridiculous. They're bossing people around. They are trying to take over the situation, so typical."

Drugs found in Lamar Odom's system, condition being treated as "overdose".

'A source inside Sunrise Hospital in Las Vegas tells us that "drugs were found in his system," and doctors are treating the situation as an "overdose." Lamar remains unconscious and on a ventilator but is still alive. It also appears that the former Los Angeles Lakers player suffered from a "loss of oxygen but also possible stroke. So, likely there's brain damage, but they're not sure how much," the source adds.
"Virtually every drug imaginable was found in his system." Lamar appears to have suffered an "ischemic stroke," which is caused by a blood clot preventing blood flow to the brain. This type of stroke is often associated with a cocaine overdose, among other drugs. Our source adds that Lamar "had been partying since Friday. He was doing crack cocaine all weekend and he choked on his mucous," the insider explains. "They're now having to fix all the damage it has done."

Nigerian armed forces well positioned to end Boko haram insurgency by December - Buhari

 President Muhammadu Buhari said Wednesday in Abuja that he remained fully confident that by the end of this year, Boko Haram's ability to attack, seize, ravage and hold any Nigerian territory will have been completely obliterated. Speaking at an audience with the Commander of United States Africa Command, Gen David Rodriguez,
President Buhari said that with greater support from his administration in terms of improved training, equipment, logistics and welfare, the Nigerian Armed Forces were now well positioned to meet the December deadline which they have been given to end the Boko Haram insurgency.

The President seized the opportunity of General Rodriquez's visit to restate his appreciation of the United States' support for Nigeria's efforts to overcome terrorism and insurgency. "We must thank the United States of America for sending training teams and equipment to us. The positive results of our collaboration are evident. "Structured attacks by the insurgents have reduced and by the end of the year, we should see the final routing of Boko Haram as an organized fighting force, " the President said.

President Buhari appealed, however, for greater cooperation from the United States in securing the Gulf of Guinea through which stolen Nigerian crude oil is shipped abroad. Decrying the severe revenue losses which Nigeria suffers from crude oil theft, President Buhari said that his administration was determined to end this criminal practice and would welcome more support from the international community in this regard.

General Rodriguez told President Buhari that he was in the country to strengthen Nigeria/United States military relations, and also explore further options for assisting the Multinational Joint Task Force established by Nigeria and her neighbours, to fight Boko Haram.

Babysitter faces jail after admitting to having made a 13yr old boy touch her sexually

Mary-Ellen Mooney, a full time insurance sales operative, admitted two charges of causing/inciting a boy aged 13 to engage in sexual activity. Mooney was at a family home minding the kids she had been trusted to protect and care for as their parents were away.

One of the child's friends visited the house and Mooney sat with him on the sofa watching TV. The pair started "cuddling" and 18-year-old Mooney began to make sexual suggestions.

She then grabbed his hand and "guided" it down to her genital area, placing his hand inside her underwear.

Richard Milne, prosecuting, said: "It was believed that all this all happened in a period of minute and also involved the pair kissing on the lip." Following the incident on January 10, Mooney, from Bradwell Common, Milton Keynes, Bucks, sent Facebook messages to the boy – describing what they would do if they met again.

Mr Milne added the messages were "clearly of a sexual nature". Aylesbury Crown Court in Amersham heard that the boy's family confronted Mooney and launched an assault against her which was dealt with by police.

"This is a case that clearly passes the custody threshold and, although this is not certain, you must know that you could face a prison sentence following your offences which you have admitted." Judge Karen Holt said She will be sentenced on November 1.

#Ministerialscreening: Senate screens Kemi Adeosun

The senate has screened Kemi Adeosun, a former Commissioner for Finance in Ogun state. During her presentation, Kemi said Nigeria needs to pursue a cashless economy. According to her, "We need to 'chase out cash.' Every where that people transact in cash, there are leakages.".

She called for government to invest primarily in infrastructure so as to create more jobs and wealth in the country. According to Adeosun, Treasury Single Accounts TSA's help in reducing borrowing.

She said unemployment can be reduced by creating jobs and also focusing on entrepreneurship. Adeosun said government needs to look at other ways of sourcing for funds in order to reduce interest rates. She said She advocated for a zero based budgeting. She called for a review of the waivers and concession of granted to businessmen.

There were reports earlier that former basketball player Lamar Odom was fighting for his life after being found unresponsive in a Nevada brothel. Controversial writer, Piers Morgans shares his opinion on the issue. What he wrote for UK Daily Mail below...
There can't be many more pitiful, humiliating ways to potentially end your life than face down in an infamous Nevada brothel, vomiting uncontrollably from the overdose of herbal Viagra you took to keep up with myriad prostitutes during a 4-day binge.
As I write, Lamar Odom is clinging on. He's in a coma, distraught family and friends at his bedside. But his dignity and reputation are already dead, shredded at the altar of reality television.

It would be inhuman not to feel a massive jolt of sympathy for this giant 6ft 10in champion sportsman as he faces his greatest challenge.

It's not been an easy life for Lamar.

His mother died when he was 12, his father was a heroin addict, and he lost a six-month old child to sudden death syndrome.
But many others have survived similarly catastrophic blows and emerged stronger and better from the emotional wreckage.

They, though, didn't marry a Kardashian.

I say this as someone who likes the Kardashians, especially Kim.

I can admire their work ethic and business acumen, whilst also acknowledging that their billion-dollar global family brand is built on an entirely false edifice of transitory, talentless fame.
I don't blame them for this, I blame society for evolving into the very thing Andy Warhol warned us all would happen: everyone could be famous for 15 minutes.

The Kardashians have just survived and thrived longer than their peers because they've shown greater drive, determination, smarts and creativity.
And that, in its way, is a talent worthy of admiration.

But those sucked into their crazy world need to be very, very careful it doesn't also suck them down in the process.
When Lamar Odom met Khloe Kardashian in 2009, he was an outstandingly good basketball player. I know, because I used to watch him at the LA Lakers performing wondrous feats with his great friend Kobe Bryant, helping them win back-to-back NBA championships in 2009 and 2010.


He was focused, intense, combative and brilliant. The consummate professional.
Then he fell in love with a Kardashian and his life became public property.
Lamar and Khloe wed on TV in 'Keeping Up With The Kardashians' after a 30-day courtship. Even Lamar's proposal, usually one of the most private, intimate moments of a couple's life, was filmed on camera.
Within months, a new spin-off show was created: 'Khloe & Lamar'.
At first, he loved every minute of his new found celebrity status, throwing himself into photo-shoots, premieres, interviews and parties with all the enthusiasm of Charlie Bucket entering Willy Wonka's chocolate factory.
But then, after a while, he stopped loving it.
Filming was up to 18 hours a day, seven days a week, for months on end.
'They want you to be at your wit's end and tired,' explained Khloe, 'I think he (Lamar) thought we could send the cameras away whenever you want, but you can't.'
No, you can't. The tap of reality television, and I speak from some experience of this as a former contestant on Celebrity Apprentice, runs even faster when you're desperate to turn it off.
Lamar, in a frantic attempt to protect his real career as a basketball player, persuaded the LA Lakers to allow the reality show's cameras to the games and even into the inner sanctum of the dressing room.

It didn't work. None of it worked.
Viewers watched Lamar grow increasingly stressed as the series progressed, and his game simultaneously deteriorated.

Eventually, in 2012, he was traded against his wishes to Dallas Mavericks.
From that moment, the spiral of self-disintegration continued apace.
He was arrested for DUI, he went to rehab amid rumours of drug abuse, a tape emerged of him apparently admitting infidelity, the couple split, then divorced, Khloe & Lamar was cancelled and his basketball career hit skid row.

Lamar himself seemed utterly bemused by what had happened to him.
'I don't do Twitter,' he protested, 'I don't Instagram. I don't believe in following people around. It just came with it. Me and that girl fell in love.'
Fine words, but utterly disingenuous.

Lamar pursued and embraced his reality TV fame with the kind of ravenous hunger he used to pursue victory and titles on the basketball court.
The problem though is that you have to lay yourself bare to it, warts (sometimes literally…) and all.
There's no ability to control the beast. Your life is public property, your human qualities and frailities exposed to millions.
Everywhere you go, everyone knows everything about you.

 It takes a very advanced degree of narcissism and the hide of a thousand rhinos to deal with that kind of scrutiny.
Lamar, unlike the family he married into, was too sensitive, too vulnerable.
Two months ago, in a dramatic exchange with TMZ, Lamar raged: 'To everybody that supports me: I'm sorry but the dog has to fight back. Y'all won, y'all beat me down, degraded me, said.. I'm a womanizer, a f**ing drug addict, everything. I probably couldn't even get f***ing hired by Home Depot right now because of how people look at me.'

If the 'dog' had fought back by cleaning himself up, getting match fit and going back to what he's really good at, then he may have had a chance.
Instead, he's lying unconscious and critically ill in a Vegas hospital.
Who's to blame for this shocking descent?

Well, his estranged father Joe Odom has no doubts – it's the Kardashians.
'They haven't been a very good influence on my son,' he said recently, 'It's been the curse of his life. He hasn't really accomplished anything since he's been with them.'
Of course, there's a heavy irony in this statement, coming from an appallingly selfish absentee junkie dad.
But it also contained a wider truth.
The sad, tragic truth about Lamar Odom is that he couldn't keep up with the Kardashians. 
And he should never have tried.

The senate has screened Barrister Solomon Dalong, a lawyer and former Prisons officer from Plateau state. During his presentation, Barrister Dalong said that if he were to advise on judicial reform, he would push for corrective reform of the prison system.

He said that to move Nigeria forward, Nigerians must insist on adhering to laid down rules and regulations. Dalong said that to address the crisis in the North East, we must examine the history of the crisis. He also said that insecurity is caused by unemployment and poverty.

Dalong in his presentation said change can only be achieved when we review existing projects and incorporate pre-existing ones. He stated that corruption is generic and that to address it, Nigeria must examine the existing legal order. Dalong called for the regulation of social media. He says it is only the law that can define who a corrupt person is.
