The senator representing Kaduna Central Senatorial District, Shehu Sani today bailed out a young man, who was jailed after a quarrel with his boss, from a police cell. He took to Facebook and shared some details. He wrote,
'Today, I visited and bailed out a young man who was detained in a police cell for 3 days over a fracas with his Boss. He lost so much weight. His eyes were swollen as he was beaten by bully inmates. He looked frightened and traumatised. This was a Boy some few days ago making jest of our prison experience on Twitter. I actually thought he will be as tough in the Cell as he was on twitter. Anyway, sometimes we need personal experience to appreciate and to learn.'

According TMZ, Khloe and Lamar yesterday October 20th called off their divorce. The report below
'Khloe and Lamar have jointly gone to court to dismiss their divorce case, because they want to stay husband and wife ... TMZ has learned. Khloe's lawyer Laura Wasser went before a judge Wednesday morning, asking a judge to withdraw the papers they both signed to end their marriage. The file was sitting in a pile waiting to be processed and signed by a judge. The judge granted Wasser's request and the file is now dead.'

A raunchy tape of a mayoral candidate stripping was released by a suspected political opponent just days from the election, but far from knocking her chances, the unemployed 21-year old has seen her popularity soar. The video of Valeria Prokopenko, which she said she made to compete at a beauty pageant, was released anonymously to embarrass her but after it was shared by thousands of fans, it stoked her popularity and now young people have vowed to vote for her on election day October 25.

The unemployed law graduate is running for the mayor's seat in the city of Odessa, in south-western Ukraine's Odessa Oblast region.

This young girl was hit by a hit and run driver in Lagos five days ago. She was taken to Galadimus hospital at 83 Sanya street, Surulere where she has been unconscious since. No one has come to take see her or claim to know her. The hospital have since informed the police about the girl and are doing their best to take care of her but they are now reaching out to the general public. Boko Haram attacks: Ambode donates N50m each to Yobe, Borno and Adamawa governments (photos)

Lagos State governor, Akinwunmi Ambode, today handed over N50million cheques to the governors of Yobe, Adamawa and Borno state as part of the Lagos state government's support towards the rebuilding of their states after the various Boko Haram attacks. Ambode made the donation at the Presidential Villa, Abuja, at a press conference he addressed in company of the Govs of Adamawa, Senator Bindo Jibrilla; Borno, Alhaji Kashim Shettima; and Yobe, Alhaji Ibrahim Geidam.


He commiserated with the state governments as well as the families of those who either lost their loved ones or have been displaced from their homes. Responding on behalf of the states, Governor of Borno State, Kashim Shettima thanked Ambode for the gesture and promised to channel the money to people of the state who are in dire need of it.

A footage filmed by a passerby appeared on Weibo, China's equivalent of Twitter showing an angry woman damaging her husband's BMW with a hammer. The incident took place in a car park in Shenzhen, southern China, at around 6pm local time on October 19. According to witnesses, she was heard saying: "This is my car, it's none of your business. 1 killed, 20 others injured in Cameroon during stampede at crusade by Nigerian pastor

One person has been confirmed dead while others were injured during a stampede that occurred at a crusade by Nigerian pastor, Suleiman Johnson which held at the Reunification Stadium in Bepanda, Douala in Cameroon yesterday October 20th. According to reports, the roof of the stadium caved in immediately after the crusade ended which caused panic. People began rushing and pushing themselves. Those who were injured are receiving medical attention in various hospitals.

He was hooked up to various machines as he was wheeled as they took him into the hospital on Monday night after he was helicoptered in from Las Vegas. South African anti riot police this afternoon threw stun grenades at protesting students from the University of Cape Town (UCT) and the Cape Peninsula University of Technology (CPUT) in South Africa as they staged a protest in front of of South Africa's Parliament in Cape Town, demanding for a fall in school fees. South African government is proposing an 11% increase in school fees in 2016.

Stun grenades were fired as students forced their way into the Parliament. Earlier, the students burned tyres outside the building, as public order policing dressed in riot gear looked on from behind a police line. See more photos after the cut...

Army sets up panel to investigate alleged involvement of its personnel in Ekiti and Osun states guber elections in 2014

The Nigerian Army has set up a high powered Board of Inquiry (BOI) to investigate among other things alleged malpractices and involvement of its personnel in Ekiti and Osun States Gubernatorial Elections in 2014. The BOI is to investigate the alleged unprofessional and unethical conduct of some Nigerian Army personnel in Ekiti and Osun States' Gubernatorial Elections 2014, as well as in any other State in Nigeria where other allegations of misconduct were made during the 2015 General Elections in the country.
As part of its Terms of Reference, the BOI is to also review the involvement of the Nigerian Army formations/units and its personnel in elections and other duties in aid to civil authority. In addition, the Nigerian Army is also investigating suspicious financial transactions involved during the election. The essence of the Board is to prevent future unprofessional conduct by officers and men in the performance of the constitutional roles while strengthening Nigerian Army's support to democratic values and structures in Nigeria.
