EFCC raid, seal Diezani Alison-Maduekwe's Abuja home following her arrest

According to sources in the know, the Asokoro, Abuja home of former Petroleum Minister, Diezani Alison-Madueke, has not only been raided but also sealed by officials of EFCC. They were there this afternoon and stayed for a few hours. There are security operatives reportedly currently stationed at the palatial home.

Diezani was arrested this morning in London for offences related to bribery and corruption and I hear there are plans to extradite her.

I guess I can mention names now as some newspapers have carried the story.. Lol. Nigeria's former minister of Petroluem Diezani Alison- Madueke, was arrested in London today alongside four other people by the UK National Crime Agency on behalf of the Nigerian government.

She and the others were arrested for offences related to bribery and corruption being investigated by the UK National Crime Agency. More on this later...

Woman who accidentally sent a text message to a stranger marries him three years later

While on a business trip, 53-year-old Kasey Bergh accidentally sent a text to a complete stranger. With her colleague's inbound flight delayed, Kasey sent a text about a meet-up to what she thought was another work acquaintance's number, but it actually went to then 23-year-old Henry Glendening.

While most people would have ignored the message, Henry decided to reply, saying if he wasn't already headed to work, he'd be 'down to hang. That let to an apology text from Kasey, the two got chatting, and then met up one week later for the first of many dates.



They had already discussed their 30 year age difference and Henry was unfazed. Henry told the St. Louis Post-Dispatch he was inspired by 'The Secret', a book that claims positive thinking can create life-changing results. Stuck in a dead-end job, and in an unhappy relationship, he decided to see what came of the chance text conversation.

On the age difference, he said: "It really didn't make any difference. We were so connected at that point through deeper stuff… From the very, very beginning it felt like we were on the same wavelength."

"I had totally embraced I was single and that I never needed a guy. Then I met Henry." Kasey said.

Three years after that accidental text, the couple were married in front of the flood wall of the Mississippi River. -Metro

Photos: Kenyan fake gynaecologist charged with raping patients

A Kenyan man, Mugo wa Wairimu pictured above has been charged with 12 offences including raping patients, impersonating a gynecologist and operating a clinic without a licence in Nairobi, the Kenyan capital. Mugo who was arrested in September, is alleged to have been caught on camera assaulting an unconscious woman who had come to him for consultation.


A suspicious staff of the hospital had installed a camera inside his office. The camera footage was released to a Kenyan citizen TV who aired the content. Mugo was arrested one week after the video was aired on TV. He was said to be on the run after the video was released and was arrested a week after at a hotel where he was hiding.

The Kenyan Medical council has denied he is one of their members. Mugo has maintained that he is innocent. At a court hearing today, he was ordered to be remanded in prison until Monday October 5th when his bail application will be heard.
