Photo: Nigerian arrested in India with 600gm of cocaine sent through postal service

Posted: 28 Mar 2016 12:53 PM PDT

A Nigerian man was arrested on Thursday March 24,  following a joint operation between India's Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) and the Anti-Narcotics Cell (ANC) of the Mumbai police which led to the bursting of an international drug racket that used postal services to smuggle in contraband.

The arrested Nigerian, Frank William was found in possesion of  600gm of cocaine imported from Latin America. The cocaine, worth Rs 4 crore, was concealed in the axle of a vehicle that was sent via post from Latin America.

Sources said that the NCB received a tip-off that a parcel containing drugs was to arrive in India. The NCB tied up with the postal services and ANC and trailed the consignment for nearly a week as it passed through two to three countries.

When the parcel reached a post office at Khoparkhairane in Navi Mumbai, the officers laid a trap and arrested Mr Frank, when he came to collect it.

"We could have stopped the parcel at the Foreign Post Office as all post parcels are routed through it. We played along so we could reach the recipient," said an official, adding that the demand for cocaine is increasing in the city.

The officer said international drug peddlers send parcels through postal services or courier companies and provide the wrong KYC and address of the recipient.

"They then track the parcel online. When it reaches its destination city, it lies at the post office as the address is wrong. The recipient then picks it up from the post office," said Sanjay Jha, zonal director of NCB.
Sources said that the NCB had recently written to the postal authorities and even private courier services asking them to insist on verifying the KYC of the parcel sender and receiver.

"We have apprised the postal department to instal CCTV cameras and collect carbon copies of the ID proofs and KYC of the sender and receiver," said an officer.
The customs department said that it is not possible to scan all parcels sent to India through courier services.
"The sheer volume makes it difficult. So, we carry out random checks," said an official.

Dave Chapelle clowns Bruce Jenner in front of Kylie ..and she wasn't amused

Posted: 28 Mar 2016 12:47 PM PDT

Comedian David Chappell clowned transgender reality star Caitlyn Jenner in front of Caitlyn's daughter Kylie, during his sold-out show in Hollywood over the weekend...

From TMZ
Sources inside Dave's epic 3rd night at the Palladium say he spent at least 6-7 minutes talking first about Bruce Jenner ... saying he was old enough to remember Bruce as a "Superman" who was "beating Africans" in track and field back in the 70s.
He said he knew there was a change coming though after a run-in with Kanye West. "I said, Kanye ... why the long face? And Kanye replied, 'Man, you'll see.'"
We're told that line brought the house down, and even Tyga laughed -- but Kylie kept a straight face through the entire bit. Hard to say if she was actually pissed, but she definitely wasn't LOL.
As they left, Tyga was still grinning. Kylie ... not so much.

Of Tyrants, Martyrs and Heroes (Part 1) - Femi Fani-Kayode

Posted: 28 Mar 2016 10:05 AM PDT

Read the article from Femi Fani-Kayode below...
Apart from the fact that he was a passionate Puritan, a man of prayer and a devout and practicing Christian, the thing that I admire the most about Oliver Cromwell (1599-1658), the British Member of Parliament and nobleman, the Lord Protector of the Commonwealth of England, Scotland and Ireland and the father of Parliamentary democracy in the United Kingdom, is the fact that he was a man of immense courage.
He entertained no fear when he was faced with tyranny and when he was threatened with torture, incarceration and death by his adversary, King Charles 1st of England. Everything came to a head in the House of Commons when the King stormed Parliament with his soldiers to effect the arrest of five people, including Cromwell. On hearing about the Kings approach four of those that were to be arrested fled the House of Commons but Cromwell refused to do so. He chose to wait for the King and to face him down once and for all.

He took his seat in Parliament and told the House that it was time that "the King and his Majesty be told the bitter truth". He said, "I shall not take flight like a coward, a scallywag, a pickpocket or a petty thief but I shall take my seat here and tell his Royal Majesty the King precisely how I feel". As the King entered Parliament and ordered the arrest of the five M.P's he noticed that all had fled apart from the defiant Cromwell. As he ordered his arrest, Cromwell got up and proclaimed that by that single order and act the King was risking civil war.

He then proceeded to lecture the King about the power of Parliament and he moved a motion that it was rather the King that ought to be arrested for treason against Parliament and the good people of England. The House erupted in applause. They shouted in a great uproar and they supported Cromwell's motion for the arrest of the King.

The King was shocked with disbelief. He left Parliament badly humiliated: for the first time in his life and in the life of the English monarchy he had been challenged, faced down and humiliated by one of his own subjects in the open glare of Parliament. Thereafter came civil war and the defeat and ultimate beheading of King Charles 1st, the first King to be executed in the history of England.

What died with him was the concept and philosophy of the "divine right of Kings" and from that point Parliament became supreme and England became a democracy. Cromwell headed the Round-head Army during the civil war and after the war he was appointed Lord Protector of England and he ruled for many years.

He rededicated the nation to God and in his years the fortunes of England became manifold. Cromwell transformed England into one of the greatest powers on earth and he established the foundation of what was to later become the British Empire, one of the greatest empires ever known to humanity.

Yet to achieve all this all it took was for one man to say "enough is enough" and defy the tyranny of the King. All it took was for one man to say "I fear not death or arrest or indefinite detention or jail". All it took was for one man to say "I do not fear what the tyrant can do to me: it is time to say enough is enough". Cromwell did that and the history of England changed forever. Another great man in history was Sir Thomas More (1478-1535), who was a lawyer, a statesman and the Lord High Chancellor of England under King Henry V111.

He was the greatest prisoner of conscience in the history of England which is why he was elevated to Sainthood by the Catholic Church after his martydom. It was he that refused to violate his moral and religious convictions by supporting the King's divorce from his first wife, the Spanish Queen Katherine of Aragon.

He was arrested and detained in the Tower of London for his refusal to bow to the King's whims and caprices. Eventually he was subjected to a show trial in the Kings court and he was betrayed and falsely implicated by one of his own protegees who was on the payroll of the King. Predictably he was unfairly convicted without just cause after which he was beheaded. Yet he stood firm to the end and he refused to recant or change his position.

His last words to the London mob that had gathered to witness his execution just before his head was chopped off were ''I die the king's faithful servant, but God's first''. Needless to say, he died a true hero, remaining true to his convictions. Consequently he became one of the greatest martyrs in the history of England and one of the most revered leaders in world history up until today. He was prepared to pay the supreme price for defending and standing on the truth and he refused to give in to fear or to bow to the tyranny of the King and state.

His reward was glory and honor from generation to generation and a place at God's table in heaven. Sadly the man who ordered his execution, King Henry V111, did not end so well. He died in his bath whilst in the throes of terrible pain from syphilis. Worse still for the five years before he passed on he suffered immeasurable pain from a terrible wound that simply refused to heal. It was so bad that it was difficult for members of his family, his Royal Court, visiting dignitaries or indeed anyone else to remain in the same room as him for long because of the terrible stench that emanated from an old wound in his gangrene-infected and rotting right leg.

This was truly shameful and a sad way for a King to spend the last few years of his life. This was a man that had beheaded no less than six of his wives, one after the other, simply because they could not bear him a son. Henry V111 paid the price for his wickedness both on earth and, I daresay, in hell.

The Holy Bible says "there shall be no peace for the wicked". King Henry's story and his latter days, more than in any other case, proves the efficacy and veracity of that scripture. In the end Sir Thomas More, the righteous prisoner of conscience who stood on truth and who had his head chopped off for it, prevailed over his tormentor, the wicked King. He died with his dignity intact and his name clothed with honor and glory whilst King Henry V111 died like an accursed stray and a rabid old mongrel who had been rejected and abandoned by the Living God.

The courage of men like Oliver Cromwell and Thomas More is not only deeply inspiring but also utterly earth-shaking. Such courage forges the destiny of nations and the future of humanity: it builds and resurrects the glory of nations and it establishes empires. The ability to risk all for conscience and truth is the life-blood of democracy.

The shedding of all fear and the ability to speak truth to power no matter the risks that are involved to life, safety or liberty is the second greatest virtue whilst courage remains the first. That is where I am today and that is where we are in Nigeria.

In our country many have been locked up, are being demonized and humiliated and are facing trial today, not because they have done anything wrong but because they dare to speak the truth and stand up against the government.

The response of the state is to criminalize them before the people with all manner of absurd and baseless allegations, to intimidate and attempt to control the Judiciary, to condemn them even though they have not been proved guilty by any court of law and to attempt to jail them. Yet they are prepared for this and they harbor no fear.

This is what real men are made of. I am referring to the numerous so-called ''enemies of the state'' who have been badly misrepresented and maligned, thrown in the darkest dungeons, neglected by the human rights groups, abandoned by the media and subjected to unspeakable horrors.

Today I salute their courage and I prepare to join their noble ranks. I refuse to cower in silence as the state prepares to move against me. My innocence will speak for me and my God will fight for me as I have done no wrong. Whatever the situation and whatever the case, as long as there is life in me and as long as I am at liberty, I shall continue to speak against the evil in the land that seeks to destroy our people and to break the spirit of our nation. President Olusegun Obasanjo, Chief Obafemi Awolowo, Sir Ahmadu Bello and even President Muhammadu Buhari paid a heavy price before getting to the top. It is by the grace of God, and not by any power of their own, that they did not perish whilst going through their respective ordeals.

They were all persecuted, detained or jailed at some point or other in their lives. Yet they all came out of their dungeons to either lead the entire country or their respective regions. The Holy Bible says "God works in mysterious ways, His wonders to perform". The Lord Himself said ''Esau I hate and Jacob I love''. There is always hope for those that are favored and loved by God. There is always vindication for them. There is always victory for those that have done no wrong and that are being persecuted by the state for standing up for the truth.

There is always deliverance for those that have wrongly and unjustly been thrown behind bars. I urge those that have suffered and that will suffer such indignities and ordeals to stand firm and be strong. At the end of the day the prisoner of conscience, whether he lives or dies, will always prevail. At the end of the day tyrants and bullies are always defeated and put to shame.

At the end of the day men and women of courage and conviction always stand tall and proud. At the end of the day the Ancient of Days always shows Himself mighty and strong. (TO BE CONTINUED).

500 ISIS terrorists reportedly deployed across Europe to cause next set of attacks

Posted: 28 Mar 2016 09:23 AM PDT

Terrorist group ISIS has reportedly trained 500 terrorists and sent them into Europe disguising as refugees to cause maximum damage and terror on the European continent, according to reports from the Associated Press.

The world is still getting to grips with the shock from the Paris terror attack and most recently the Belgium airport attack. Attacks which ISIS have claimed responsibility for, but with this new tactic employed by the group, Europe is in for more shock and grief if the reports are true.

AP reports,
"After fleeing Paris immediately after the November attacks, Abdeslam forged a new network back in his childhood neighborhood of Molenbeek, long known as a haven for jihadis, and renewed plotting, according to Belgian Foreign Minister Didier Reynders." "Not only did he drop out of sight, but he did so to organize another attack, with accomplices everywhere. With suicide belts. Two attacks organized just like in Paris. And his arrest, since they knew he was going to talk, it was a response: So what if he was arrested? 'We'll show you that it doesn't change a thing,"' said French Senator Nathalie Goulet, co-head of a commission tracking jihadi networks.
"The reality is that if we knew exactly how many there were, it wouldn't be happening." It is true ISIS is losing territory and influence the Syria and the Middle East, due to coalition operations and Russian airstrikes, but the group has metastasized like a cancer into Western capitals which was always the long term goal to begin with. The feeble effort by the Obama administration to target the Islamic State, while it was in Syria and Iraq for two long years, gave the terrorist regime time to plan the infiltration of terrorists into Europe, along with the ground to train its fighters.
Now, even if ISIS is defeated and eradicated in the Levant, it doesn't really matter. The damage has been done. The terror cells are in place to kill for decades to come. ISIS has also spread to Africa and other areas around the world to enable the training, recruitment and planning to continue.

ISIS terrorists crucify catholic priest on Good Friday

Posted: 28 Mar 2016 09:02 AM PDT

Sick ISIS terrorists have carried out their horrific threat to crucify a priest who was kidnapped by the jihadis earlier this month. Father Tom Uzhunnalil, a Salesian priest, was seized when four armed militants stormed an old people's home in Aden in Yemen on March 4.

His execution by the Islamist sect, using the same method used by the Romans on Jesus and marked on Good Friday every year, was confirmed at the Easter Vigil Mass by Cardinal Christoph Schonborn of Vienna.

Father Uzhunnalil was a native of India and had been the object of both prayers and diplomatic efforts since the March 4 raid where 16 Christian nuns and nurses were killed. Bishop Paul Hinder, who heads the Catholic Church in Yemen, said the Missionaries home had been the object of numerous threats but they refused to leave.

Pope Francis on Sunday honoured the slain nuns and reverend father as martyrs.

On Kachikwu and Adesina - By Doyin Okupe

Posted: 28 Mar 2016 08:43 AM PDT

Former presidential aide Doyin Okupe shared this article on his Facebook page. Read below...
I am not APC and never will be. I am not looking for employment and certainly not in an APC government. I Dont believe in APC, its leadership or policies.
But at my age, with the over 35yrs experience I have gathered in Nigerian politics and haven served in the Presidency twice, I believe I should at all times, try and share whatever little knowledge I may have towards helping to build a better Nation no matter who is at the helm of the affairs.
Nigeria ,Nigerians and Stake holders cannot afford to standby allow errors to be made only to turn round later and use it for political gains.
Now back to the subject matter.

The Hon minister for petroleum appears to me to be strictly a professional CEO. I believe, from my little research of what he has silently done to restructure and refocus the company, that definitely he knows what he is doing. But he is completely in the dark when it comes to politics or information management. And this of necessity must be so. I will personally advice the minister to employ a good public relations man and a good communicator who manages the company's interface with the public and media. Let the minister do his job of policy formulation and executive management of the NNPC in which he appears supremely competent.

As for Mr femi Adeshina, he definitely made an unpardonable slip. But should we hang him for it? NO.!!

Being a spokeman for a government is not one of the best jobs you want to do especially in difficult times like this.

Many times you are overburdened by your passion and commitment for your principal and as a human being you simply flip when you find yourself in a tight spot. In my career I have flipped and slipped severally, that is why I understand where femi Is coming from.

When you work very closely with the number 1 citizen in the country and you are privy to his thoughts, actions, and challenges, it takes divine wisdom, maturity and forbearance to hold your own if you feel the public is not appreciative of all the efforts the government is making. The mistake we all make under these circumstances is that, members of the public are not privy to what is being done behind the scene and neither are they interested.

All the people want to see is results not efforts.

I believe femi knows where he went wrong. I have known and interacted with him for several years. He is not haughty and would never have contrived to insult the sensibilities of the Nigerian public. It is a goal down but the game has just started

Katt Williams' downward spiral has scared his loved ones so much they want him hospitalized ... but the comedian thinks it's just a ploy to get his cash.
Katt tells us his "so-called family" has turned up the heat on him to get professional help, after a video surfaced that showed him getting into it with a 17-year-old. Katt grouses his family's been trying to get him hospitalized for years ... but only because they're a bunch of "broke bitches."
