| $200bn Scam: EFCC seals off Abuja office of company that sold Lt. Buratai his Dubai properties Posted: 13 Jul 2016 12:52 PM PDT  As part of the ongoing probe of the laundering of over $200billion loot in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) by former political office holders, operatives of the EFCC today, July 13th 2016, stormed the office of a Dubai property firm, The First Group Company, in Abuja. According to Sahara Reporters, the real estate development company located on the seventh floor of the Bank of Industry building of the Central Business District, Abuja, is same one featured in its investigations into the alleged properties belonging to Army Chief of Staff Tukur Buratai. The EFCC team raided the company's seventh-floor office after obtaining a search warrant. The company is also being investigated for allegedly defrauding unsuspecting Nigerians by luring them to invest in real estate in Dubai. A prominent Nigerian is alleged to have lost about $402, 000 in a phony real estate transaction with the company. Sources from the EFCC have told SaharaReporters that The First Group scammed Nigerians out of more than $200 billion. Investigations by the EFCC also revealed that the company known as TFG Real Estate Limited, which operates in Nigeria, is fronting as The First Group company which according to sources is based in Dubai and not registered in Nigeria. The First Group, which operates as a Ponzi scheme, entices Nigerians to invest in Dubai properties and forces them to make payments. When they can no longer service those payments the company seizes their money. |

She becomes Britain's second female premier, following in the footsteps of fellow Tory, Margaret Thatcher. | Senate passes Bill to prohibit Discrimination against Persons with Disabilities Posted: 13 Jul 2016 09:38 AM PDT  According to Senate President Bukola Saraki, the "Discrimination Against Persons With Disabilities (Prohibition) Bill (2016) (SB 22)" is a highly significant bill that seeks to curb the abuse in all forms of Nigerians with disabilities. Most importantly, it seeks to promote the respect of the rights of all Nigerians with disabilities. "With what the 8th Senate has done today by passing this bill for its third and final time in the Red Chamber, it is my hope that this National Assembly can finally break this jinx by getting it passed by the House of Representatives and assented into law by Mr. President" Saraki said. |

Last year the Billionaire business man said 'We have places in London and other places that are so radicalised that police are afraid for their own lives.' and said he won't have a good relationship with the outgoing UK Prime minister David Cameron if he became president of America after Cameron criticized his comments. Theresa May has now confirmed her relationship with Trump is unlikely to be any better after calling him 'plain wrong'.. 'I can assure you that Donald Trump has got it absolutely wrong. The police in London are not afraid to go out and police the streets. I understand he said that Muslims were not coming forward in the United Kingdom to report matters of concern. This is absolutely not the case - he is just plain wrong. 'Politicians should be very careful as we are dealing with the issue of terrorism, as we fight terrorism, we need to be bringing communities together. | President Buhari’s purported impeachment threat, a huge joke - APC releases statement Posted: 13 Jul 2016 09:21 AM PDT  The attention of the National Secretariat of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has been drawn to media reports of a laughable impeachment plot by some Senators on President Muhammadu Buhari during Tuesday's July 12, 2016 closed session of the Senate. This is a huge joke taken too far. The Party advises the Senators in question to stop this huge joke and concentrate on their primary constitutional responsibilities of lawmaking and discharging of their legislative mandates to their constituents at the National Assembly. The Party reiterates that the Senators in question do not allow political shenanigans becloud overall national interest. The Party will not join issues on the Senate forgery suit and other court cases concerning some members of the 8th Senate because it will be sun-judice. We advice the Senators in question to tow the same line and allow judicial processes run it normal and legitimate course. Repeated allegations that the court cases are politically-motivated by the President and the APC are baseless. The President Muhammadu Buhari administration strictly respects the principle of the Rule of Law and also adheres to the constitutional provisions of Separation of Power between the three arms of government. The APC urges Mr. President and the entire cabinet to remain focused in its effort deliver on election promises and to steer the nation to its deserved heights. | DR. Ikpeazu is operating illegally as governor - Festus Keyamo Posted: 13 Jul 2016 08:57 AM PDT   On Monday, 27th day of June, 2016 the Federal High Court sitting in Abuja (Per Hon. Justice O. E. Abang) nullified the nomination of Dr. Okezie Victor Ikpeazu as the candidate of the People's Democratic Party for the 2015 Gubernatorial Election of Abia State and also his subsequent election as Governor of Abia State.The Court ordered the Independent National Electoral Commission to issue a Certificate of Return to Dr. Sampson Uchechukwu Ogah, who scored the second highest number of votes in the primaries that produced Dr. Okezie Victor Ikpeazu. A thorough scrutiny of the judgment of the court will reveal that, contrary to widespread opinion that Dr. Sampson Uchechukwu Ogah's case was that Dr. Okezie Victor Ikpeazu presented forged tax papers to the Independent National Electoral Commission, his case was simply that Dr. Okezie Victor Ikpeazu apparently rushed to pay all his backlog of taxes just before the elections, yet he swore to a false affidavit and supplied a false information to the Independent National Electoral Commission that he paid his taxes AS AT WHEN DUE. It was based on this false information that the court nullified his candidature. OGAH'S CERTIFICATE OF RETURN I have carefully listened to various arguments regarding the immediate issuance of a Certificate of Return to Dr. Sampson Uchechukwu Ogah by the Independent National Electoral Commission in strict compliance with the judgment of the Court. Contrary to opinions expressed in certain quarters there is no judicial decision or statutory provision preventing the Independent National Electoral Commission from complying immediately with the Orders of the Federal High Court. The provision of Section 143(1) of the Electoral Act, Part VIII that gives Dr. Okezie Victor Ikpeazu (or any other office holder for that matter) 21 days within which to file an appeal against an adverse judgment (and to remain in office until the appeal is determined) applies only to post-election matters before election Tribunals or the Court of Appeal and not pre-election matters as in this case. In the circumstance, the Independent National Electoral Commission acted legally and correctly by instantly issuing a Certificate of Return to Dr. Sampson Uchechukwu Ogah. WHY DR. OKEZIE VICTOR IKPEAZU MUST STEP DOWN IMMEDIATELY AS GOVERNOR OF ABIA STATE It would have been permissible for Dr. Okezie Victor Ikpeazu to continue in office as Governor of Abia State pending the outcome of the appeal despite the judgment of the Federal High Court (and the nullification of his Certificate of Return) if Dr. Sampson Uchechukwu Ogah had not been issued a Certificate of return instantly. But having been issued a Certificate of Return, it is constitutionally abnormal and legally paradoxical that a person with a validly issued Certificate of Return should not occupy that office immediately, and the person with an invalidated Certificate of Return continues to occupy that office. That is why the Interim Order restraining the Chief Judge of Abia State or any other Judicial Officer from swearing in Dr. Sampson Uchechukwu Ogah is a non-sequitor as the judgment of Abang J has already been complied with by the Independent National Electoral Commission. The scenario we have now is that of a person, without any document entitling him to that office, occupying the office of Governor of Abia State, whilst a person who has both a valid court judgment and a valid Certificate of Return is unable to assume office as Governor of the state. Let the world know today that Dr. Okezie Victor Ikpeazu is operating illegally as Governor of Abia Sttae and all his actions, orders and anything done in that capacity are null, void and of no effect. Dr. Sampson Uchechukwu Ogah should be sworn in immediately as Governor of Abia State pending the appeal lodged by Dr. Okezie Victor Ikpeazu. That is the only way to go to enthrone legality in Abia State. The heavens will not fall. Thank you. |

Posted: 13 Jul 2016 08:07 AM PDT  "Assalamualaikum, my fellow members of the public, I must start by stating some few reasons that I can say for now to the public on the reason why I withdraw from the duty of CJTF, Firstly, I am a leader, I work and do my duties with many comrades and heroes who sacrifice their comfort and their social activities to protect their people, their state, their Nation in fact the whole universe. And so its my duty to protect and carter for their needs, indeed they are: But its quite unfortunate these to have exist. We lost many comrades whom their relative are still in pain but yet no any compensation or even concern from the federal GOVT. We fight voluntarily not in order to safe borno state only but rather safe and protect the integrity of our nation. What are flights of the CJTF from the federal GOVT. Only the Nigerian army and DSS observed and gave sluts to our members, what of other security agencies like the Nigerian air force, Navy, NPF, FRSC, custom etc.. If I should say, it's obvious that the federal GOVT created a whole ministry in order to compensate those who are even destroying the economy of our nation, fighting and destroying lives and properties of the nation, who are always aiming to disintegrate our nation, then why not to those who are fighting in order to uphold and protect the integrity of the nation, saving lives and properties, sacrificing all they have ,giving their lives effort and comfort just in the name of saving our great nation. Unfortunately, not even once the national assembly brought our issue in the house, not even once the federal GOVT has ever sermon us to know our challenges nor progress..... Then what are called??? But we give thanks to the Almighty for every disappointment there is a blessing, I have to say and mention and show our appreciation to those who are always by our sides to help us .. His excellency the state governor, his royal highest SHEHU of borno, Antony general of the state, member representing MMC.. we say thank you. After the series of meetings I had with the stakeholders, elders and concerned citizens of the state and having heard from them, I hereby withdraw my statement and resume back to my duty as the state coordinator CJTF. My sincerest appreciation to all concerned members of the public for contributions, God bless borno state, God bless federal republic of Nigeria, Ameen.  |
