Growing up, I had dreams of life in America, I thank God for those disappointments- Freeze reacts to the killing of 2 black men

Posted: 09 Jul 2016 01:12 PM PDT

OAP Freeze talked about police brutality in the US and the deaths of the 2 black men killed by Police in Louisiana and Minnesota. Read what he wrote after the cut:

The police is the future KKK ~Notorious B.I.G.

In the video, the white man tried driving over the black cop's foot with his Ferrari, the black cop was armed but didn't reach for his weapon.
I have always been outspoken, I can vividly remember getting black eyes for speaking out or giving someone a piece of my mind right from the tender age of 7. I have never allowed anything or anyone shut me up. I remember, back in senior high when the librarian in ISI (international school IBADAN) called me before a crowd and ran me down, telling everyone how useless I was... Then she made the mistake of her life, in the presence of everyone, she said to me "you this boy with no future ambition, tell us what you want to be when you grow up", never without a punchline comeback, with a beaming smile across my face, I retorted, "I want to be a librarian". Everyone burst out laughing, as the joke had now turned on her.
However for the first time in my life, I was lost for words, my voice disappeared from within me, that ability I have to air my views damning all consequences left me! Seeing a man's soul ripped away from his body in the presence of his girlfriend, is probably one of the most traumatic experiences a woman can ever have...... I can imagine her tears, the never ending mental and emotional torture..then watching another man pumped full of slugs by two trigger happy white cops, throwing their families into mourning.
The brutality, in the manner in which both murders were executed in cold blood, in broad daylight, haunts me.
Growing up, I had dreams of life in America. I played the visa lottery at least 7 times, with each attempt accompanied by prayers & fasting, while each realization of my failure left me sorrowful.
I thank God for those disappointments, I'm grateful that I am not a second class citizen with the privileges of a second hand undergarment. I am much better off, being a citizen of this blessed country called Nigeria, where you are greeted by the police with pleasantries like "anything for the boys" or "happy weekend sir" even if it's Tuesday!

Ebonyi state House of Assembly member says she will be selling the new Prado SUV received from the state governor

Posted: 09 Jul 2016 08:42 AM PDT

Maria Ude Nwachi, a Legislator in the Ebonyi State House of Assembly, was one of the beneficiaries of the Prado SUVs given out by the Governor to members of Ebonyi House of Assembly. However, Marie noted that although the car is their official entitlement, as done in all states, she plans on selling the car and using the money generated to grant loans, aid those in need of small funds to start a business, invest in her on-going projects for her people and then take a little (200k) for her personal use. How wonderful of her! Read what she wrote after the cut...

Sweetest Afikpo, this is for you....

Honourable members of Ebonyi house of assembly were presented with swank brand new Prado SUVs each, on Thursday. It was really exciting. I was like WOW!! The cars are looking tempting, baddest and sooo mega hot. Soooo sooo yum-yum...

As yum-yum as the car looks, as baddest as the car looks, I will NOT drive it. The spoils of this car must be enjoyed by every living being and organism in Afikpo and even beyond. For Afikpo so love their daughter/mother, ‪#‎BCEL‬, that they stood their ground, made national history, by electing a political nobody like me, a person without a single political structure, no godfather, limited mula, no nothing, via a party, PPA, that did not even have an office in Ebonyi state. Unheard of! I remain the only elected member of PPA in the whole federation and the only member of a minority party in the entire Ebonyi state house of assembly. So what are we talking about here, this hot ride is yours biko. You no dey drag am with anyone. Na yours!!! Ooogini. Uka akpawo onwue.

This ride will be turned into liquids! The proceed will be used towards massive empowerment. Revolving loans, and to aid those in need of small funds to start a business or kick life into their businesses. A portion of it will go towards some of my on-going projects for the sweetest people of Afikpo. Onwe be nu gu ihe nji onwo mu emeee oooo. Na you be my mission. Period.

I will personally chop 200k of this liquid, what will I use it for? Buy as much wax/ankara as I want. Sow as many wax gowns and wrapper/blouse as I want, can't sow enough of them. lol. Hey, I gotta have my own fun. Body no be fayawood.

Ahem, my Facebook constituency, you know how we do it, winkz. Na we we things nah. Your share dey there...Chill.

A special thank you to HE. Engr. David Nweze Umahi, my Right Honourable Speaker, and my fellow honourable members!!!

Note to all: This ride is our official entitlement. Literally every state in the federation has already given their honourable members their cars, Ebonyi is basically the last to do this. Our Governor was even under fire from various quarters for not having yet given us our own. This has been the norm since the advent of democracy in this nation. Ebonyi cannot be different. If any change has to be made; it has to be a national change. To those wondering if our Governor pays salaries, our governor is not among the state governor not paying salaries of workers.

Addendum: Winning election no easy oo. That is why there are less than 3000 people elected in the whole of this country. Every elected should be able to do what they want with their entitlement. I chose to do this because it is convenient with my lifestyle. It coincides with my person. And it is my personal choice. Do not judge others based on my personal choice because they also have their own way of doing good things for those they're representing.

Dear Greatest Afikpo, your burden remains my burden, happily, joyfully! You ain't see narrin yet, at all. I love you, madly,
Yours Truly,
Maria Ude Nwachi (Afikpo Chic).

Banky W writes open letter to all single people as he debuts his new music, GidiLove

Posted: 09 Jul 2016 06:06 AM PDT

If I got a million naira every time I am asked when I will marry, I'd be a billionaire but thankfully, I am not the only person in this situation. Many other single folks, even the men, are being hounded everyday to get married...by fire, by force:-). Banky wrote a funny piece to introduce a hot new song he just released titled 'Gidi Love', addressing this. Read his write up & listen to the song after the cut

My fellow Bachelors & Bachelorette
For too long we have been teased, harassed and tormented by Society with "When will you marry" and "when is your wedding" ?? It is getting out of hand. U don't see us going around to old people asking them " please when is your funeral"? These days, I can't even post "Good morning" on social media, without someone saying "yes but it will be a better morning WHEN YOU MARRY!"

It is with this in mind, that #GidiLove was created. The song is in defense of all single people in Lagos and all over the world. Some of us are just not ready. Some of us are single and searching but it hasn't worked out yet. There are others who may just not want to get married at all. The point is that, in the words of the great @youngskales, it's Nobody's Business.

By God's grace we will get there.. we will settle down with the right person and live happily ever after. But until then, pls leave us alone. Because the same people who are pressuring us and talking us into marriage, are the same people who will mock us and talk ABOUT us if the marriage ends quickly. If it's party rice you people want, we will give you party rice. And peppered fish. And some ciroc to wash it down. But leave us and our single status alone.

My fellow Single people, waste no time in downloading #GidiLove today. So the next time someone asks u those annoying questions, just smile and play the jam for them. By Order of the most Eligible Bachelor in Lagos,
Mr W. ðŸ˜‚😅😂😅😂😅

Congo show: Peter Okoye reacts to the video of him promoting it, says he was told the show had been cancelled

Posted: 09 Jul 2016 05:47 AM PDT

Below is what Peter Okoye wrote on his IG page this afternoon. If you don't know what this is about, Read the initial stories here
Again, my attention has been drawn to a publication specifically uploaded on Linda Ikeji's Blog. For the umpteenth time and in order to set the records explicitly straight, I never stated that I was not aware of the show, I simply stated that the contractual obligations were not favorable to me. In fact I was authoritatively informed by the organizers of the show that the show had been cancelled 4 days ago whilst money paid had been fully returned.
It was, therefore, surprising to learn that the show was still scheduled to hold on 9th July, 2016 (@ Goma) and 17th August, 2016 (@ Kinshasa- VIP and Live concert) with the false statements being peddled that I was sick and unable to make the flight to Congo with my crew two nights ago to attend the show, in the first instance and my Twin Brother and Co-Owner of the Psquare brand granting a presumed Psquare press conference wherein he stated contradictory facts that I am not present because I missed my flight. This is gross deception at its peak and no one in his right thinking mind will allow such falsehood to fester.
I must reiterate that I owe my fans and by extension, fans of Psquare the obligation to speak the truth at all times and prevent a situation where the Psquare brand will be built on deception. It is my utmost belief that such a foundation based on falsehood will only create a damning consequence for the brand in the long run. The issue at stake here is fraudulent misrepresentation of my continued endorsement, participation and use of the Psquare brand without my consent or authority being sought or obtained.
The purported Video posted on some blogs wherein it was alleged that I endorsed the show is self explanatory. In the said video, the days slated for the show to hold were 2nd July, 2016 @ Goma and 9th July, 2016 @ Kinshasa, however that video was recorded months ago. The show are slated to hold now on 9th July, 2016 @ Goma and 17th August, 2016 @ Kinshasa- VIP and Lives concert, thus it is easily discernible from the said Video that a new video was required but was not obtained due to inconclusive negotiations between my management and the promoters of the show.
I was told the show has been cancelled and money returned. I will not continue to fold my hands when there exists a situation calculated to foster disunity and lack of good faith with the brand. There are specific questions begging for answers here: How come Paul never advertised this show upon landing in Congo on any of his social media handles as its customary when artistes are scheduled to perform? Why did Paul say that I was sick and unable to make the show when in fact, I am hale and hearty? Why did Paul grant a Psquare press conference stating that I missed my flight and I will arrive for the show, knowing fully well, I am not aware of the continuance of the show?
All of these actions were calculated to deceive the fans and fraudulently misrepresent the facts all in a bid to make money in a none transparent manner and economically assassinate my character, goodwill and credibility. It is important to speak out for sake of posterity and of course, all my legal Arsenal will be deployed to ensure this fraudulent and mischievous act is addressed and any further recurrence prevented. Please Note that my loyalty will always remain to the brand PSQUARE.
Thank you. MR.P (Peter of Psquare) Cc
