| Check out this adorable bear cub's dance moves Posted: 23 Jul 2016 01:25 PM PDT  These stunning pictures were captured by High school teacher Valtteri Mulkahainen in the town of Martinselkonen, northern Finland. They show a bear cub going through his dance moves like a pro without a care in the world. The 55-year-old, from Sotkamo, Finland, said: "This dance was very rock n' roll and also break-dance style. The interesting thing was the bear was sitting next to me and watching me. "Then he stood up and began to dance. At first I couldn't believe my eyes, he danced looking at me as if to say 'look at what I can do, do you like it?'"He added: "When he finished the dance, he ran away with his friends and I sat there and still couldn't believe it. Then I began to view the images I had captured and I couldn't stop laughing, it looked very funny."Mr Mulkahainen said photographing the bears is his hobby and he does so every summer. He said: "This summer I have already visited the bears four times.I work as a teacher in a high school and am very fond of photographing bears on vacation, especially the little cubs - they are like very small children playing. I was in a hide to photograph the wild animals, the bears came about two metres away. But when we walked through the woods, the bears would come about five metres away - it was very interesting and exciting."He added: "This dance reminded me of a mix between the bear cub playing rock n' roll guitar and break-dancing. It seemed to me the bear wanted to show me how he can dance - and he really knows how to dance. At this age, the bears are very naughty, they play together like little kids."More photos... Club Chairman Ellis Short said Moyes was the club's 'number one managerial target for the last five appointments'. 'We are absolutely delighted to welcome David Moyes to Sunderland, who was by far and away our first choice. 'He is a man whose football pedigree speaks for itself and is someone I have long admired. I have spoken with him on many occasions and I have always been hugely impressed. He was my number one managerial target for the last five appointments, but his desire to honour existing contracts meant we were not able to bring him to Sunderland previously. To be able to finally welcome him as our manager is fantastic news for the club. 'The fact that David has committed to a four-year deal is a clear demonstration of his belief in what he can achieve here. | Army rescues missing commanding officer, 5 others Posted: 23 Jul 2016 11:17 AM PDT  In a statement released today by Army spokesman, Col. Usman Sani, the commanding officer of the troops was among those rescued early this morning. The statement reads "It will be recalled that some of our troops were missing in action after an ambush at Guro Gongon on July 20, 2016. Consequently, concerted efforts were initiated to search for and rescue them. The measures included the use of air assets, special forces and patrols. We wish to inform you that the search party has this morning found five more officers and soldiers that were declared missing in action, including the unit's commanding officer. Although they are in a stable condition, they have been moved to our medical facilities for medical care." |

| FG denies asking Nigerian Athletes to buy their tickets to Rio 2016 Posted: 23 Jul 2016 04:47 AM PDT  WE DID NOT ASK ATHLETES TO BUY TICKETS TO RIO The Ministry of Youth and Sports Development says it did not direct foreign based athletes going to the Olympic Games in Rio to buy their own air tickets. The Minister of Youth and Sports Barrister Solomon Dalung said this in a statement following a purported mail asking athletes to buy their tickets to the Olympics and which was said to have originated from the Ministry. Barrister Dalung stated that the Director, High Performance Angie Taylor has been saddled with the responsibility of arranging for the flights and movement of the foreign based athletes to and from Rio. "We did not write any mail asking athletes to pay their way to Rio. As the overseers of sports in the country, it is our duty to take care of all our athletes. The letter did not come from us and we will investigate the writer of that letter. It does not represent our stand concerning the movement of athletes to Rio and the writer or anybody asking athletes to buy their tickets to Rio will be investigated. We ask Nigerians and athletes in particular to disregard the mail" Dalung said. The minister however regretted the embarrassment caused by the letter and asked athletes to remain focused on their build-up to the Rio games. |

| Update: Congolese musician Koffi Olomide has been deported from Kenya Posted: 23 Jul 2016 03:53 AM PDT  Thank you, Kenya! Congolese musician Koffi Olomide was on Saturday morning deported to Congo. He was sent back to his home country via a Kenya Airways flight that left the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) at 11:35am, after he spent the night in a police cell. The 60-year-old Congolese musician was arrested for viciously kicking one of his female dancers in the belly for arguing with his wife at the Airport. Police Inspector General Joseph Boinnet ordered for his arrest after a video which showed the assault went viral and was brought to his attention. |
| Posted: 23 Jul 2016 03:46 AM PDT  According to reports, Sonboly created a fake Facebook profile under the alias Selina Akim to entice youngsters to the centre's McDonald's branch, before starting his shooting spree at around 6.30pm on Friday. During a press conference on Saturday morning, Munich Police President Hubertus Andrae confirmed the Police force were looking at Ali David Sonboly's Facebook page. Police gave a "cautious all clear" early on Saturday morning, more than seven hours after the attack began, and brought much of the city to a standstill as all public transit systems were shut down amid a massive manhunt. They said a body found near the scene was that of the shooter and he appeared to have acted alone.   Five of the attacker's victims are adolescents – sparking fears it was a revenge attack for teens who bullied him. Police say the motives of the attacker are still 'unclear' at the moment and it may be connected or unconnected to foreign terror groups like ISIS. This is the third major act of violence against civilians in Western Europe in eight days. The previous attacks, in the French resort city of Nice and on a train in Bavaria near the city of Wuerzburg, were claimed by Terrorist group ISIS. |

The identity of the child or his parents has not been revealed, or whether the Police are following up the case.. |
