Photos: Two arraigned for assaulting FRSC official in Lagos

Two men were arraigned today before Mrs AA Famobiwo of magistrate court 3, Surulere for assaulting an FRSC official. Nwandu Onyeka and Okechukwu Jackson were arraigned on three count charge of conspiracy, assault and obstruction. Both pleaded not guilty and were granted bail in the sum of 50k and 2 sureties each.

The case was adjourned to 18 July 2016 for mention. Both accused were remanded in prison custody as they couldn't meet the bail conditions.

Peter Okoye of P-Square, who has left the group and gone solo, shared the flier above & called out his brother and former manager, Jude, for promoting a P-Square show instead of Rudeboy. He wrote;
"Disclaimer: This goes out to all my Fans in Congo Specifically and the entire world in General. My attention has been drawn to a much publicised show holding today 8th July, 2016(VIP SHOW) and tomorrow 9th July, 2016,(in Goma) and on the 17th of August in Kinshasa wherein the name Psquare was used maliciously and mischievously to garner patronage and huge fans attendance as against the stage name Rudeboy which is used when my Twin Brother, Paul, and Co-owner of the stage name Psquare performs alone.
I never endorsed the usage of my name as the contractual terms presented were not favourable to me, thus I am not part of the show booked by our former manager Jude and I wholeheartedly disassociate myself from the unauthorized use of my Co-owned stage name (Psquare) and images for promotional and economic reasons without my express written consent or permission. Contrary to the wild allegations making the rounds that I could not attend the show because I am sick and missed my flight along with my crew members, I wish to counter same and state categorically, that I am 101% healthy.
I shall take appropriate legal actions in the nearest future against the promoters and the sponsors of these events for character assassination and malicious misrepresentation. Thank you. MR.P (Peter of Psquare)

Caitlin Jenner's eldest son Burt Jenner and his longtime girlfriend Valerie Pitalo welcomed their first child...a son. The 37-year-old race car driver announced on Instagram.

"She did it!" Burt captioned a photo of Valerie holding the baby. The proud new papa also shared a photo of their newborn sleeping on his mom's chest. "So far so easy… Only 17 years 364 days to!" he wrote.
 
Burt is Caitlyn's first child with his first ex-wife Chrystie Scott. He supported her when she went public with her transition last year.

"I'm very excited. Part of me was screaming to say, 'Hey, I've known for 25 years and I've always been supportive!' I always will be. I've always tried to be anoutspoke supporter of the LGBT community." he said in an interview last year.

The Nigeria Football Federation has put former Ethiopian coach Tom Sainfiet, Super Eagles' caretaker coach Salisu Yusuf and Frenchman Paul Le Guen, who once coached Cameroon, on a shortlist of candidates for the position of Super Eagles' Head Coach, a statement issued today reads.

On Friday at the Glass House, the NFF Technical and Development Committee pored over more than 20 applications before cutting the list to three. Among those who showed interest in coaching the three –time African champions are Giovanni Solinas, Saintfiet, Hey Antoine, Mark Wotte, Yusuf, Ernesto Paulo Calvinho, Dorian Marin, Le Guen, Miodrag Jesic, Perry Hansen, Ove Pedersen, Adebayo Lateef Kola, Sylvanus Okpala, Peter Ijeh, Vladimir Petrovic-Pizon, Lodewijk de Kruif, Kenichi Yatsuhashi, Bjorn Frank Peters and Ricki Herbert. Belgian Saintfiet, 43, coached the National Teams of Namibia, Zimbabwe, Ethiopia, Yemen, Malawi and Togo, and also worked with the Qatar U-17 side, Young Africans FC of Tanzania and Free State Stars FC in South Africa.

Yusuf, 54, was capped by Nigeria at U20 level, won FA Cup titles with El-Kanemi Warriors of Maiduguri as a player and coached top clubs Kano Pillars, El-Kanemi Warriors and Enyimba FC. He assisted Super Eagles' chiefs Samson Siasia and Stephen Keshi (of blessed memory), and was caretaker coach for two friendlies that the Eagles won against Mali and Luxembourg in Europe at the end of May. Le Guen, 52, played for Brest, Nantes and Paris Saint Germain and won 17 caps for France, before coaching Rennes, Lyon, PSG (in France) and Glasgow Rangers (in Scotland).

He qualified the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon for the 2010 FIFA World Cup finals and also coached Oman. Chairman of the Technical and Development Committee, Chris Green, told NFF. "We set a criteria with which we evaluated the nearly two dozen applications and then agreed on the three persons that we shortlisted. The Committee will meet on Monday, 18th July 2016 to interview the shortlisted candidates and immediately name the next Super Eagles' Head Coach"
