Posted: 27 Jul 2016 01:33 PM PDT

That's what MediaTakeOut is reporting...Read below...
Rob Kardashian and his "fiancee" Blac Chyna are finished – don't believe any press that says otherwise. MediaTakeOut.com spoke with a producer for the show who tells us that Rob is "finished" with Chyna. The insider explained, "The Kardashians are going to every news source, pretending that Chyna and Rob are together, so that they can show the breakup on [Keeping Up With The Kardashians]."
But Rob is not playing the Kardashian's shenanigans. The insider continued, "Rob is not playing. He's through."
Rob was also a very conspicuous no-show at his own grandmother's 82nd birthday bash yesterday. The same bash where Blac Chyna and her baby bump were front and center, filming the event with the rest of the Kardashian Klan.

All skin and bones: AFP Correspondent photographs Nigerian starving children in Muna, Maiduguri

Posted: 27 Jul 2016 12:47 PM PDT

Photos of Nigerian starving children in Muna, a suburb on the outskirts of Maiduguri where the UN children's agency UNICEF runs a nutritional clinic, taken by Stefan Heunis, a Freelance photographer based in Lagos. Read below:
"It may be the rainy season, but the savannah scrubland stretching out below me is dusty, dry and brown, linked by a spider's web of dirt tracks and footpaths.
I'm in a plane descending toward the Maiduguri International Airport and squint to focus on the hamlets dotted across the landscape, It's my third visit here and once again I can't see many natural water bodies, which gives me a familiar uncomfortable feeling. How do people survive in this harsh climate?" I wonder. I remind myself to stay hydrated.
"Touch down in Maiduguri and the light is blindingly bright. The air hits you in the face like a hairdryer on its hottest setting. I've come here to report on the latest calamity to befall the capital of Borno state. Sitting on the north banks of the seasonal Ngadda river and historically a major commercial hub just south of the Sahara, it was fought over for centuries by traders, traditional and religious leaders, then about a century ago the colonialists.

Over the past several years, it had become more notorious as the birthplace of Boko Haram, the Islamist group whose insurgency has devastated northeast Nigeria since 2009 and spilled across the border into Cameroon, Chad and Niger.

AFP has covered the insurgency since it began: the horrific and relentless attacks on mosques, churches, markets and bus stations, suicide bombings and raids on remote villages. In the last 18 months the Nigerian military, helped by its neighbors, has reclaimed territory from the insurgents, apparently weakening the radical group to the point of "technical" defeat.

But this doesn't mean the people living here are doing any better.
In recent weeks another shocking dimension of the conflict has emerged: severe food shortages have meant that hundreds of people -- in particular children -- are suffering from severe acute malnutrition. That's a fancy way of saying they're starving. Sometimes to death

The camps for internally displaced people (IDPs) where the worst malnutrition cases have been reported are not accessible without military assistance, so we decide to drive to an informal settlement in Muna, a suburb on the outskirts of Maiduguri where the UN children's agency UNICEF runs a nutritional clinic

Before going to a place like Muna, I always try to figure out the best way to portray the situation in the most honest way I can, while still maintaining the humanity in the subjects.

It is never easy to witness suffering and be practically powerless to affect change, to do anything about the people's immediate circumstances
t's challenging because you need to retain respect for your subjects, which in this case entails focusing a lens on them and capturing that moment in time. I believe part of that respect comes with sensitivity towards the different realities that you are presented with.

My first impression of the Muna settlement is of a dry dust bowl, a barren patch of land devoid of grass and vegetation. The tents are scattered in clusters over the naked earth and the sun beats down on the ground....

Dogara gives Abdulmumin Jibrin 7-days to retract libelous allegations or face legal action

Posted: 27 Jul 2016 09:19 AM PDT

Speaker of the House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara, has given sacked chairman of the House committee on Appropriation, Abdulmumin Jibrin, a 7-day ultimatum to retract all the allegations of corruption padding he leveled against him since he was sacked form office or face legal action.

Jibrin who was sacked on 20th July, has released several statements accusing Dogara and three other principal of corruption and padding of the 2016 budget. Read Yakubu Dogara's statement below...

The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt Hon Yakubu Dogara, has given a seven day ultimatum to Hon Abdulmumin Jibrin to tender an unreserved apology to him and retract all allegations made against him or face legal action. A statement issued by the Special Adviser on Media & Public Affairs to the Speaker, Mr. Turaki Hassan, stated that the demand was contained in a letter written and addressed to Jibrin by counsel to Dogara, Professor Joash Ojo Amupitan (SAN) & Co. It was signed By Professor Joash Amupitan, SAN, who is the Principal Partner of the firm. The letter, entitled,

'REQUEST FOR A RETRACTION AND AN APOLOGY OF A LIBELOUS PRESS STATEMENT ISSUED BY YOU ON MONDAY 25TH JULY, 2016', noted that the claims of the former Appropriations chairman, who was removed for padding the budget and other actions, that the speaker is corrupt and abuses his office is aimed at tarnishing his image at home and abroad and is a clear case of libel. The letter read in part, "We act as solicitors to Rt Hon. Yakubu Dogara, Speaker of House of Representatives of Three Arm Zone National Assembly Complex, Abuja herein after referred to as "our client" and on whose instructions we write this letter to you. "The attention of our client has been drawn to a libelous press statement you issued on Monday 25th July 2016 which was made available to members of the press (print and electronic media) titled "THE CORRUPT SPEAKER YAKUBU DOGARA AND HIS 3-MAN CABAL". "In the said publication, you published words to the following effect concerning our client and three other principal members of the House of Representatives- "Honourable colleagues and fellow Nigerians, I wish to make further revelations. Speaker Yakubu Dogara and his senior cabal namely Deputy Speaker Lasun, Whip Doguwa and Minority leader Ogor has (sic) promoted corruption so badly in the House that if President Muhammadu Buhari with his disdain for corruption and corrupt people have the slightest idea, he will ban the QUARTET permanently from the Villa before they eventually allow for proper and unbiased investigation by the House. Mr Speaker and Deputy Speaker Yusuf Lasun diverted millions of Naira all in the name of paying for guest houses and official residence. The issue became so messy that the Deputy Speaker openly accused Hon Herman Hembe of short changing them of millions of naira in the deal to the shock of many Hon Members. Speaker Yakubu Dogara frequently abuse his office amounting to conflict of interest by soliciting for inappropriate favours from agencies and Multinational companies. He forced an agency to grant loans and a construction company blackmailed to do some work at his Asokoro 'plot' Speaker Yakubu Dogara has carefully designed a scheme to scam Hon Members through deduction from their salaries certain amount of money for a so called mortgage arrangement to build houses for members. He has been applying every under hand tactics to ensure Members agree to the deal. "Speaker Yakubu Dogara has consistently refused members access to the financial dealings and internal budget of the House. He runs the financial management of the House like a cult aided and abated by the Chairman House services Hon Babanlle Ila. It is no longer news that all over the House, Hon Members are aware of the monumental fraud perpetrated by Speaker Yakubu Dogara in this regard. We are even told that this is a child's play compared to the mess and allegations of money laundering he left behind as Chairman house services in both the 6th and 7th Assembly. The EFCC should have something to start working with in respect to his tenure as Chairman House services if they properly dust their files." "These members of the body of principal officers were not comfortable with my independent disposition and my refusal to cover up their unilateral decision to allocate to themselves N40bn out of the N100bn allocated to the entire National Assembly. The four of them met and took that decision, in addition to billions of wasteful projects running to over 20bn, they allocated to their constituencies. They must come out clean. My inability to admit into the budget almost 30bn personal requests from Mr. Speaker and the three other principal officers, also became an issue." It continued, "The personal references are obviously directed at our client, and amount to a very serious libel. "By the said publication and without putting to the public any shred of evidence, our client is portrayed as a criminal, corrupt, dishonest, fraudulent, dishonourable and unfit to hold the position of Speaker of House of Representatives. "Our client's reputation has further been brought down in the estimation of right thinking members of the society and he has been thrown into public opprobrium, odium, scorn and ridicule. "Consequently, we consider your publication on the matter as not only libelous but made in bad faith; an act of vendetta owing to your recent removal as the Chairman of House Committee on Appropriation. "The said publication is also aimed at causing disaffection between Nigerians and members of the House of Representatives. "Sequel to the above, we have to request you to submit immediately to us a clear and unqualified apology and retraction of the publication in an equally conspicuous position in all the print and electronic media where the publication appeared. "TAKE NOTICE that in the event of your failure/refusal to comply with the above mentioned demands within seven (7) days of your receipt of this letter, we have further instructions to institute a suit against you in a court of law. If we have to pursue this course, we shall be claiming aggravated and exemplary damages. Yours faithfully, For: Professor Joash Ojo Amupitan (SAN) & Co Professor Joash Amupitan, SAN Principal Partner." Recall that Jibrin has been circulating all manner of falsehoods against the speaker after he was removed as the chairman of the committee, a decision the whole House took after due consideration of his gross incompetence and immaturity to handle the position of Appropriations Committee Chairman, among other issues.

People assuming Gbenro is with me for a green card is very hurtful- Osas Ighodaro-Ajibade says

Posted: 27 Jul 2016 09:06 AM PDT

In a recent interview with Genevieve magazine, actress and new mum, Osas Ighodaro-Ajibade said it was very hurtful to her when she heard people making comments that Gbenro Ajibade married her because he wants to get a green card. Osas is a US citizen. Speaking, Osas said
"Being in the limelight, I hear different things and I wouldn't be human if some of them didn't get to me; especially the comments people made about how he is only with me because he wants a green card. That was very hurtful because people don't understand the love we have for each other. Everybody likes a good life. Who no like better tin?
If he is able to get a green card for being with me, then that is a blessing but for people to assume that that is the only reason he is with me is very hurtful. Gbenro has had different opportunities in his life and he could have made that 'green card' happen a long time ago. He always tells me that he had never envisioned himself being in love and in a relationship until he met me. He thought he might just end up having a baby mama. I didn't ask him to marry me. He asked me to take this journey with him. People can talk all they want" she said
Osas said many people thought she could have done better with her choice of a life partner but she doesn't care. According to her, Gbenro might not be the richest man but they have love and will grow together.
"People say I could have done better but I don't even think about it. I know what I have gone through and the kind of men who have approached me. The first and most important thing to me is love. Of course I know some billionaires could have courted me but I am not about the money. When I first returned from the US that's what I was being approached with but it's never been my priority. Love is more important to me. Gbenro might not be the richest man in the world but there is love and we will grow together and that's what makes me proud of our marriage. Would I rather be rich and miserable? No! I have a man who is smart and talented, so handsome and God fearing. There is no other direction he would go but upwards because he is a man who is determined for himself and his family. I am not worried that he is not a billionaire; by God's grace he will get there. I'd rather be happy in the man he is and the man I know he is aspiring to be. People will always have opinions. I am judged even for the air I breathe"she said.

TV Firm apologises after cartoon character stepping on a page from the Koran sparked outrage

Posted: 27 Jul 2016 08:59 AM PDT

Britain's Channel 5 TV Network has pulled down a cartoon known as  'Fireman Sam' after it showed a character appearing to tread on a page from the Koran. The TV channel has said it had no plans to air it on TV again after receiving backlash from Islamic faithfuls.

The character, called Elvis, slips on some paper on the floor of the fire station in the kids' animation hit while carrying a tray of hot drinks and several sheets fly into the air, one of which looks to be covered with Arabic script, then Elvis now steps on the paper covered with the script that resembles texts from the Holy Koran.

The episode, called Troubled Waters, was last shown on TV on June 28 and HIT Entertainment, which produced the cartoon, apologised "unreservedly" to viewers.

The firm, which produces Bob the Builder, Pingu and Thomas the Tank Engine, said it had cut ties with the animation company responsible for the mistake.

A spokeswoman for HIT Entertainment said: "It has been brought to our attention that in an episode of Fireman Sam an image of the Koran is briefly depicted.

"The page was intended to show illegible text and we deeply regret this error. We sincerely apologise for any distress or offence it may have caused."

"We will no longer be working with the animation studio responsible for this mistake.

"In addition, we are taking immediate action to remove this episode from circulation and we are reviewing our content production procedures to ensure this never happens again."
